My name is Nate Lawson. I am a sophomore at Purdue University. I love sports and I love writing about them. My favorite sports include baseball, football, NCAA basketball, and the newly popular to most, the world of MMA. I love MMA and try to learn more and more about it everyday. I hope you enjoy my articles and, of course, I love feedback, even if it is refuting everything I have to say.

My favorite fighters are plentiful, but Thiago Silva holds the number one spot. And yes, this was the case before UFC 102.

So I was browsing MMA Mania when I noticed a Junie Browning interview. I hadn't heard much from that crazy bastard since his incident, so I decided to check it out. Much to my surprise, the interviewer was Nate Lawson. I was like, "whooa, I know this dude!"

Good to see you doing big things. Sounds like Junie is back to his cocky, pain in the ass self.

You should definitely add that to your profile.

Not only are you the original Thiago Silva fan on B/R, but to be honest, you're the only person I know who's fan of his.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with Thiago. The dude is the truth. It's just that everyone I know is pretty apathetic towards the guy. They think he's a great fighter, but they don't really like him or dislike him. So you're the first one.

I was a BTT fan back in the day, and always cheered for the Nogueira's. BTT and Chute Boxe had a long, long feud, so I was always a little hostile toward the Chute Boxe guys like Thiago, Wandy and Shogun.

On top of that, I really don't like American Top team either. Most of their fighters are cocky assholes, particularly Charles McCarthy, JZ Calvancante and Jorge Masvidal. I don't know if you've ever heard me mention this, but Masvidal is my least favorite athlete in the world. I just love watching him get his ass beat. When he got choked out by that ridiculous inverted triangle, I literally clapped for 5 straight minutes.

So in other words, I'm a little prejudiced against Thiago. He's an excellent fighter though, and lucky for you, he'll be around for a long time.
