Michel Platini: Fighting For a Lost Cause?
09/27/2009
Well, I'm 17 and currently attending the 12th grade at the German School of Oporto (my hometown) en route to my German Abitur.
In the future I plan on becoming a doctor, but although I love Science I also love writing and literature.
So, when I found out about B/R I decided to join immediately.
Well, on my sporting life.
I played basketball and tennis at a national level, but I am also a big fan of rugby and football.
I've been wearing Benfica and Barça jerseys even before I knew the rules of the game...
Well, I'm also fluent in 6 languages: Portugues, English, German, French, Spanish and Catalan.
Visca el Barça e Viva o Benfica e Portugal i Catalunya!
Hey,
Following up yesterday's great debate is the one I've been waiting to write for a long time, and the one I think may be the best debate yet and a must-read for any football fan! Should video technology be introduced into football? Would doing so take away from the 'magic' that makes the game so great? And would it help or hinder the referees? Have your say in the Great Debate!

Dude, you're from Benfica yet you keep telling people how Franco opressed Catalonia. You obviously know Salazar favored Benfica in the same way and for the same reasons as Franco favored Real. Now can you give any kind of explanation so I can watch you sink in your embarassing attempt of defending your honor ? Thank you.

Keep your articles coming!
Btw in ur next article mention this incident.
"In 1943, Barcelona faced rivals Real Madrid in the semi-finals of Copa del Generalísimo. The first match at Les Corts was won by Barcelona 3–0. Before the second leg, Barcelona's players had a changing room visit from Franco's director of state security. He 'reminded' them that they were only playing due to the 'generosity of the regime'. Under these conditions, Real Madrid dominated the match, thrashing Barça with a 11–1 win."
Let's see what the Madridistas have to answer to this one.

Wow, I was right about both semi finals in the review. Manchester United too strong for Arsenal and a tight single (away) goal seperating Chelsea and Barcelona.

JVR, since I went to the Nou Camp many years ago and watched a La Liga match against Real Valladolid, despite my love for two English teams (Manchester United - I go to see them twice a season, and Gillingham FC (you wouldn't have heard of them) - soy abono de los Gills), I do consider myself as one of Los Culés. Just wanted to say, I'm on your side here, I think Barca will win the UCL, y La Liga, por supuesto.
