About Greg »

I'm one of those Vikings fans who is so pessimistic about my team that I won't believe we win the Super Bowl until the Commissioner himself tells me. Fortunately, there is always someone or something I can blame our shortfalls on: Denny Green, Red McCombs, Tarvaris Jackson, Brad Childress, Darryl Bevel, etc.

I live in an area with no other Vikings fans that I know of, so the internet is invaluable for me to get a sense of community with other fans. This place is more about NASCAR (which I loathe) and fishing more than any other sports.

I've been a fan of the Vikings for a long time, though I'm not old enough to remember anything about the Purple People-eaters of the 1970s. I think the first time I rooted for the Vikings was in the 1987 playoffs, where we eventually lost to the Redskins in a 20-17 squeeker that we could have pulled out in the final seconds.

Now I'm hopeful we can get back to that level again, and we're not far off talent-wise, but I have very little faith in our current head coach and offensive coordinator. I'll try to be optimistic. Really I will.

    Hey Greg!

Hope everything's well! I'm getting ready for the upcoming NFL season...And for the Minnesota Vikings, I feel there is just one guy who will make it a memorable season. Or won't. And that's Percy Harvin.

    Hey Greg!

Hope all is well with you! Well, this Vick situation is owning NFL topics every day. And, although many people think he shouldn't come back to the NFL, I think he has been through enough...so I wrote an article on how I feel!

It would be great if you check it out for me! And drop a comment or two...thanks!

    Hey Greg-

How's it going!? Hope everything's well. Since you are a Vikings fan too, I know you have thought about this a lot...Favre going to the Vikings is becoming more and more of a possibility. As a Vikings fan, my allegiance towards him is quickly changing and I kind of like the idea. I'd appreciate it if you check out my article!

Hey Greg, thanks for the support. I know the feeling of being an isolated fan. I grew up in Chicago rooting for the Vikings --are you kidding me -LOL Did I ever take a beating!! It was something about Joe Kapp, Bill Brown, Gene Washington and that Purple People Eater defense that drew me in...you have support here.

Each team in the National Football League has at least one player. One player to always fall back on. One player that showed dynamic skills beyond their years. Whether they're the league doormat, or one of the dynasties, ever team has one player that is their greatest player of all time.

I'd love to hear your feedback.

I think we can both agree on the choice for the Vikings.
