Josh Donaldson and the rest of the Oakland Athletics are off to a very strong start to the MLB season, and the 28-year-old made another great play for his team Saturday night.

During the game against the Toronto Blue Jays, Munenori Kawasaki hit a pop-up in foul territory down the third-base line. Donaldson charged after it, hitting the tarp while making a fantastic catch.

This isn't the first time Donaldson has done this either. He did the same thing last season against the Texas Rangers, making a terrific snag while running into the tarp.

The Athletics went on to win 5-1 Saturday to move to 54-33 on the year.

Luis Suarez's bite on Giorgio Chiellini will undoubtedly live on in World Cup history. It will also live on one football fan's skin.

We'd already seen one person get a ridiculous Suarez-Hannibal Lecter tattoo, and this new tattoo features a set of teeth marks, with the caption "Suarez Was Ere." Honestly, by comparison this one doesn't seem half-bad.

Well done, @Jordan_Coombe, you've got the very best Luis Suarez bite-themed tattoo of all. We're sure you're very proud.

Oh my Gaal'd.

Louis van Gaal's tactical gamble paid off in the end, as backup goalkeeper Tim Krul's two saves in the penalty shootout against Costa Rica were enough to book the Netherlands a place in the semifinals of the 2014 World Cup.

Many were surprised when the Netherlands' starting goalkeeper, Jasper Cillessen, was subbed off in the 120th minute for Krul. According to Infostrada Sports, it was the first time in World Cup history that a manager substituted on a goalkeeper solely for the penalty shootout.

Maybe Van Gaal had decided that he wanted a more experienced keeper in such a critical moment. More likely, though, he reasoned that since Krul is also two inches taller, he would have an easier time reaching the more difficult shots.

The Houston Rockets selected former Arizona Wildcats guard Nick Johnson in the second round of the 2014 NBA draft, and he just made quite a first impression.

During his NBA Summer League debut against the Detroit Pistons, Johnson threw down a poster dunk over Tim Ohlbrecht in the third quarter.

Johnson was known for making some pretty exciting plays at Arizona, so hopefully we'll see a few more of these during his NBA career.

During Saturday afternoon's game between the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals, one ball boy had to get creative to avoid being hit.

In the bottom of the first inning, Matt Holliday hit a line-drive foul ball to right field. The ball was headed right towards one of the ball boys, but he quickly hopped out of the way and stumbled into the stands.

In case you didn't know, Aaron Gordon is extremely athletic.

During an NBA Summer League game against the Philadelphia 76ers, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft rejected K.J. McDaniels' shot and caught the ball in mid-air.

Former Baylor Bears forward Cory Jefferson was taken by the Brooklyn Nets with the final selection in the 2014 NBA draft, and he'll be honoring one of his former teammates every time he's on the court.

Jefferson will wear the number 21 on his jersey in honor of Isaiah Austin, his teammate from Baylor whose NBA career ended before it began after he discovered he had Marfan syndrome.

Even though Austin won't be able to play at the next level, this was a classy move from Jefferson to honor his teammate.

When Gonzalo Higuain nearly doubled Argentina's lead against Belgium in the World Cup quarter-finals, the entire nation of Argentina gasped.

No reaction summed up the near-goal better than the reaction of Alejandro Sabella, who appeared to nearly pass out after the miss.

Philadelphia 76ers fans have been waiting for quite some time to see Nerlens Noel on the court after he spent all of last season recovering from a torn ACL suffered at Kentucky.

Judging from this video, it looks like he's healthy.

Noel made his NBA Summer League debut on Saturday, and was able to throw down a dunk on his very first possession.
