I'm a creative writing major at SUNY Oswego, and as journalism is no longer my thing, my writing may at times stray from typical journalistic style and end up closer to a creative essay.

Sports and writing are my two passions (as well as the only two things I may at times be considered knowledgeable in), and I'm particularly passionate about my hometown Syracuse Orange. The majority of my other rooting interests are derived from my years following the Orange as well. I follow the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL, the Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA and despite their having no connection to Syracuse that I'm aware of, I also love the Boston Red Sox.

I'm Alex, I'm from London, and I have a job as a journalist. About insurance. If there's anything that can drive the person truly mad, it's years of writing about insurance. Trust me. I know.
But my biggest love is sports. In the UK I love my soccer teams, but I have my big American passions: baseball and football. Sure, I can deal with the odd NBA game and March Madness, as well as a bit of the NFL, but give me Ken Griffey's swing and a Penn State White Out any day of the week.

I just recently received my Masters degree form Cal State Northridge and am considering the pursuit of my PHD in social studies/history. Along the way, I have developed a passion for USC football, which I have followed for more than twenty years. In a somewhat less myopic state of mind, I also follow all things college football and most sports in general. I am a lifelong sports fan. Football is my passion. I am originally from Michigan but have lived in Hawaii for 10 years. My teams are all the Detroit teams, especially the Red Wings. I have a unique rooting interest in college football. I love Notre Dame, but I root for Michigan whenever they are not playing Notre Dame. The reason is that I am from Michigan but my Irish Catholic roots outrank where I am from. I love seeing Michigan and Notre Dame players succeed in the NFL. My two favorite Quarterbacks are both named Brady. While Tom Brady is well on his way to a hall of fame career, Brady Quinn needs to find a way to get out of Loserville, I mean Cleveland. The Browns have done nothing but screw him since they drafted him and he needs to be on a team that appreciates his talents.
