I'm a Double Domer with a strong interest for Fighting Irish football. I specialize in the numbers, meaning I track statistics and the schematic chess matches that go on during the games. I also write editorials about whatever piques my interest. Finally, I have my own college football computer ranking system which can be found at http://ClashmoreMike.com where I write.

4 - Wesley Johnson
Writer bio
Wesley is a baseball fan cleverly disguised as a musician. Or is a musician cleverly disguised as a baseball fan. In any case, he is unintentionally a master of disguise.
Wesley covers exclusively baseball, mostly Kansas City Royals material (hey, someone has to). He also grew up in Japan as a child and has extensive knowledge of the Japanese game and league. He currently lives in Hawaii and is blowing his life savings on his education.
I seriously can't figure out how to write that "long dash thing" that editors keep putting in my articles - any keyboard shortcuts would be splendid.

There are two things I love. I love to talk, and I love sports. You'll find no bigger Boston Bruins or Red Sox fan on the planet. I'm 13 years old, and since I was 10, I have wanted to be a sports play-by-play anounncer for either the Red Sox or the Bruins. I'm a goalie for my 12U roller hockey team. I play roller because I live in florida, and there is not as much ice hockey down here. Since I love to talk I announced 2 Red Sox games. I did all the research, got all the statistics, muted the volume and announced it.

6 - Chaz Mattson
Writer bio
Chaz Mattson has great insight into most of the sports world. His favorite sports to cover are baseball and football on the professional and college levels. He has previously been a high school coach and has been both a position coach and coordinator. Moreover he is both creative and technical in his approach to writing and strategic problem solving. As a coach and player he experienced multiple undefeated and single loss seasons. As a Colorado native, he grew up watching the Broncos since 1970 and taught himself the game through watching games, research, and reading daily reports. Finally he also can give a sound opinion on the NFL, MLB, NCAA, NHL, Tennis, and Texas Hold Em strategies.

12 - Travis Rand
Writer bio
My name is Travis Rand and I am currently a Senior attending Portland High School. I have lived in Maine for most of my life but my sports background comes from New York, the state I was born in. Born and raised in Toronto, I have been a Leafs fan since birth. I tried to root for other teams, I really did, especially during the dark days of Harold Ballard, but it just didn't work. I always come back to the blue and white. When they finally win the cup I think I will savour it more than anyone. OK, well, probably there are thousands more just like me who will enjoy it just as much. I get a huge kick out of writing articles on the Leafs. Its pretty much making the wait bearable. Just.

It all started on a message board. Actually I've had a frustrated writer inside me for years.
Celtic fan. UConn fan (and alma mater). I saw Bill Russell play in his later years.
As a small child, even then, mentally juxtaposing the change from the platonic late 50's to the chaotic, dynamic cultural changes of the sixties was a wild ride. Sports was a big part of it then as it is now. As with songs, you marked periods of your life with certain sports events.
Me? A doer of many things. renaissance man with a small 'r'. I wish I had time to do and read much more than I do. Something called work gets in the way every day. Don't ask. I won't tell.

18 - Glenn Franco Simmons
Writer bio
I'm a former managing editor, having started in journalism in the ninth grade.
In high school and college, I was a dual sports editor/editorial writer.
Since graduating from college with honors as a journalism major in 1985, I've edited several weeklies and co-founded and managed a 24,800-circulation daily.
I also have some radio news director experience.
I have a blog totally unrelated to sports at http://glennfrancosimmons@blogspot.com. I write about a variety of contemporary issues and anything else I find interesting.
As a rabid 49er Faithful who dates back to before the days of John Brodie and the horrific years of the mid- to late 1970s, I am a “thinking” fan – rather than a sycophant who cannot accept criticism of one’s favorite team.
That said, I am not a warm-...
