Growing up in a suburb of San Francisco during the ‘80s, it wasn’t hard falling head over heals for the local sports teams. The Bay Area squads were at their pinnacle and it seemed like the products they were putting on the field were immaculate. And at times they were.

Having parents that were not die-hard sports fans didn’t really help my progress in learning the ins and outs of sports, but it didn’t hurt that my next-door neighbor was Fred Quillan, the center for the San Francisco 49ers at the time. Seeing him leave for games and practices was surreal, almost like watching a warrior right before he heads off to battle. It made me want to learn everything sports related. And the sport really didn’t matter, Football, Baseball, Tennis, whatever.

I've worked as a sportswriter at two daily newspapers, written text for baseball, basketball and football cards backs for Fleer and have interned at the home of hockey maven Stan Fischler. I've also served as a managing editor at a daily newspaper, entertainment publication and most recently, Wizard Entertainment, where I helped oversee the daily operations of four national pop culture mags, four national conventions and two websites.

My dream job would be GM of the Seattle SuperSonics. Now my dream is dead. So I will have to get Mark Cuban money, buy a team ( I don't care who) and move them back. Then I could be the Jerry Jones of the NBA. If I can't be the Sonics GM, then how about the Seahawks GM?

I'm a sport multimedia journalist that previously worked for ESPN Radio 1410 The Fan as a co-host on a show titled Fan Forum, that aired Monday-Friday at 4 p.m. in Tallahassee, Florida. I also served as the Sports Director for WANM 90.5, Florida A&M University's campus radio station. During this time I hosted a daily sports update titled Prime Time Sports. I also served as the play-by-play analyst for FAMU Basketball and Friday Night Flava, the local broadcast of high school football games in the Tallahassee area. It has been such a joy reporting on the BCS this season. I have pointed out dozens of flaws but the BCS honks will really take notice if Texas loses and TCU plays the Alabma/Florida winner in the title game.

I generally love all sports, but have a passion for the pageantry and traditions of college football. Moving from Pac 10 country to Big 12 country 2 years ago has really given me a broader base of knowledge and a better appreciation of how the game really impacts communities, culture and lifestyles.
