As the passion became a career quest, I realized I lost some innocence and spark to my writing. With that being decided upon, my mission has reverted back. I no longer write as a career goal, simply for the love of writing and the love of the sport. Simply a husband, a Dad and a passionate Sox fan who loves to write. I like it better like this.
At the end of the game, the kings and the pawns go in the same box. However, if I have the choice, I'd prefer to be a king.
I hope you enjoy my four picks of the day stories:

Hello all,
I play pretty much every sport but I'm REALLY into MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). I hold an Orange belt right now in MMA and I'm looking to get my Blue this year. I practice Karate Kyokushin, Muay Thai, Boxing, BJJ and Wrestling.
Researching than writing on Bleacher Report helps ensure that I keep up to date on all things MMA and will assist in my goals of becoming a ring announcer and fight commentator in the future.
I've been following sports for a while and have a knack for predicting what the ou...

Born and raised in upstate New York and northern New Jersey, finding a team to root for wasn't exactly a task. If anything, the area boasted more of an "embarrassment of riches" than any other place in the world. So, I adopted the Yankees, Jets, and Rutgers as my teams, and as you would expect from any mid-20's guy in this area, I take them pretty seriously.
How seriously? Well, let's just say the correlation between my blood pressure and the scoreboard is no coincidence.
I'm a Rutgers alum (New Brunswick campus) and a season ticket holder for football. With the program's awakening over the past few years, it's an exciting time to be around Rutgers Football, and the future looks bright.
I primarily focus my writing here on B/R on Rutgers Football, and I like to t...

I am a sophomore at the University of Oregon and I have an unhealthy addiction for sports. The Oakland A's and Major League Baseball are my biggest passions, but for some reason college football and the Ducks are creeping up as a close second. I am double-majoring in Sports Marketing and Public Relations, and am currently interning with San Francisco-based boutique tech PR firm, Vineberg Communications. Inspired by Bill Simmons and the guys from Around the Horn, I am not your typical sports writer. So if you're tired of the typical AP style game-recaps, and want witty, insightful prose about the Oregon Ducks from a college student's point of view, I am your resource. What I would love to do on B/R is to write at least one article about evey college basketball team in Division I. My ego tells me I am the most knowledgeable college basketball fan out there that doesn't have a gig.
