I'm Barney Corkhill, the Liverpool Community Leader for Bleacher Report! Obviously that means I'm a Liverpool fan and I look forward to celebrating the league title finally coming home this season! Other than football, I like playing and watching rugby, cricket, tennis and any other sports really!

In terms of music, The Beatles are by far the greatest band of all time (fact), and it just so happens that they come from the greatest city of all time as well (fact)! I am a 20-year-old student currently studying Legal Science and Italian in Galway. However upon completion of my BA degree I wish to pursue a career in journalism. I grew up in Hampshire but have lived in the motherland for the past 10 years. A loyal Liverpool fan since a toddler, I must admit to having a soft spot for my local side Southampton. I try to go to Galway United games as often as possible, weather permitting of course. An avid football fan, in addition I enjoy watching tennis, rugby, cricket and athletics. I have been here now for seven months, and I finally will write a proper bio (somewhat).

I originally became a sports fan by watching some major sporting events without realizing it (1998 World Cup final, 1999 Champions League final, 1999 MLB Playoffs etc), and from the excitement that I got from watching these games, I started to take a deeper interest into many different types of sports all throughout the world.

Around six months ago, I was searching Google when I came across an article that criticized Federico Macheda after he scored the winning goal for Manchester United over Aston Villa that Sunday, which was on this site.
