I am a 25-year-old journalist and Mets fan living in Brooklyn, having moved from England in June 2009.

I am obsessed with baseball, basketball, New York sports and statistics.

I am excited to report that I am no longer set for another season of sleepless nights in front of the computer watching internet streams of sports games happening 2,500 miles away from me when I have to be at work a mere few hours after they conclude.

This summer I married my beautiful fiancee Lisa, and now I have the daunting task of trying to move all of our belongings into our new apartment.

I studied for my BA (hons) in journalism at the University of Central Lancashire in England and at SUNY Plattsburgh in upstate New York.

For the last three years I worked as a journalist at a weekly newspape...

SimLeagues allow users to create teams of their all-time favorite players from MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL and pit them against other user-created teams. Dynasty games put users in complete control of a real college football or college basketball program, or an entire baseball organization, and even an auto racing team .

Seriously, who needs snow? Michael emerged from his mother's womb decked in the red and gold of his beloved San Francisco 49ers. Growing up in the Bay Area in the late 80s and early 90s, Michael was spoiled and got to enjoy some of the best football any team has ever played (not just opinion, but a fact as solid as the fact that the male seahorse has the babies - look it up!) Growing up in a suburb of San Francisco during the ‘80s, it wasn’t hard falling head over heals for the local sports teams. The Bay Area squads were at their pinnacle and it seemed like the products they were putting on the field were immaculate. And at times they were.

Having parents that were not die-hard sports fans didn’t really help my progress in learning the ins and outs of sports, but it didn’t hurt that my next-door neighbor was Fred Quillan, the center for the San Francisco 49ers at the time. Seeing him leave for games and practices was surreal, almost like watching a warrior right before he heads off to battle. It made me want to learn everything sports related. And the sport really didn’t matter, Football, Baseball, Tennis, whatever.

I have followed the 49ers an...

A native of Memphis, TN, I currently reside in beautiful Bellingham, WA. I've always harbored an affinity for the West Coast, and once the stars alligned, I moved here on a whim in 2005. I write for a music magazine up here, but with the advent of March Madness, I felt compelled to commence writing about my OTHER passion, sports; hence my appearance here.
In addition to writing about music, I also play it. I'm a veteran of several bands up here in the Northwest and Memphis as well.
Although I love to write, I find it hard to write about myself in one all-encompassing blurb, so henceforth, I'll let my articles do the talking.
Take care!

I have been writing for B/R for a while now, but I also do work for NFLTouchdown.com and I have my own blog called Broncos Banter, which I strongly encourage you to check out.

In addition to those sites, some of my regular work previously done here on B/R will be featured on the Denver Broncos' page of NFL Blog Blitz, I strongly encourage you to check it out. Here is a link: http://blogblitz.nfl.com/denver-broncos

Essentially, I'm here to provide my opinion of my favorite sports teams, which would include the Denver Broncos, Iowa Hawkeyes Football, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Cubs, and UNC Basketball.

I'm a huge NFL fan, and ...

I am a young and passionate sports fan with a home town loyalty, but a critical and objective take. I have always been a journalist at heart. Being a source of information is a fascinating and addictive experience, and one that I have always been drawn to. I am dedicated to pursuing this as a full time career so I welcome any feedback, criticism, and advice. I love a good debate, but I can't stand when it resorts to name calling. If that's your only method of rebuttal, please don't bother. Thank you all for your support.

It has been such a joy reporting on the BCS this season. I have pointed out dozens of flaws but the BCS honks will really take notice if Texas loses and TCU plays the Alabma/Florida winner in the title game.

College football is a national sport and I have a favorite team in every conference.

SEC - Georgia

Big XII - Texas

Big Ten - Ohio State

Pac-10 - Arizona

Big East - West Virginia

Mountain West - TCU

ACC - Florida State

WAC - San Jose State

I got hooked on the NBA from the early 80's when Dr. J, Larry and Magic were the men.

I still looooooove the NBA. Chris Paul is my dogg these days.

I'm a New Media Producer for www.thescore.com Television Network in Toronto.

I also write - mainly NBA, but from travelling and living in Australia(Melbourne), England(London) and Canada(Toronto - or tronna as they say here!) means I follow Cricket, Aussie Rules, Soccer, Tennis, Olympics...pretty much everything...just NOT rugby !

One day, I hope to host NBA TV.

I have a blog - check it out: http://thedailyhurt.blogspot.com/

Been to MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL playoff games in the Windy City. Seen an NBA Finals, World Series, NCAA Basketball National Championship Game and now a Perfect Game in person.

I'm lucky enough to be a season ticket holder for the Bears. You can find me wearing my No. 34 jersey at every home game, whether it's 70 above or 30 below. I love going to games in Bear Weather.

There are over 2,000 people ahead of me on the Cubs season ticket wait list, but I still find a way to get to at least 20 games a year (13-8 in 2009). I cannot think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than si...
