Writer bio
Hey everyone.
I'm a sportswriter living in the bay area where I do things like hang out with my fiancee, watch sports, and go sing karaoke. I'm a huge UK fan and I'm already prepared to celebrate our 2010 National Title. I love B/R and I'm looking forward to writing more and getting to know the personalities on the site.
Also, thank you to everyone who has commented on my articles. I really appreciate your feedback and support.

Breaking News #1: An article of mine made it up on CBSsports.com in the NFL section under the article Camp Tour: Cardinals. I am very happy about this. Thanks BR! Here's the link: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/240518-the-super-bowl-runner-up-arizona-cardinals-preview
Hello all,
I play pretty much every sport but I'm REALLY into MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). I hold an Orange belt right now in MMA and I'm looking to get my Blue this year. I practice Karate Kyokushin, Muay Thai, Boxing, BJJ and Wrestling.
Researching than writing on Bleacher Report helps ensure that I keep up to date on all things MMA and will assist in my goals of becoming a ring announcer and fight commentator in the future.
I've been following sports for a while and have a knack for predicting what the ou...

"no longer riding on the merry-go-round...I just had to let it go."

I admit I used to play the game where I was focused on moving up the ladder at B/R, trying my best to be the top writer and all that. But now I no longer pimp my articles, or look for websites to artificially increase readership, and I'm satisified writing what I want and not some nonsence just to attract reads.
Yep, I spent about a year ranked #1 in MLB and the Cubs, and was ranked as high as #2 overall on the site at one time. These days, I am happy simply contributing to the site and allowing others to take the mantle.
I think I am still the Chicago Cubs community leader, and I know I am a featured columnist for the Cubs and Bears. I have written more than 500 articles, though I ca...

4 - Lewie Pollis
Writer bio
Lewie Pollis is a brilliant, witty, and exceptionally handsome high school senior from outside of Cleveland, Ohio.
An Indians fan since before he can remember, Lewie adopted the Red Sox as his second-favorite team in 2003 because it was an effective outlet through which to channel his hatred for the Yankees.
He got his first subscription to Baseball Weekly when he was four. As early as his T-ball days, Lewie would sit in the dugout and mentally calculate his teammates' batting averages while he waited to bat. While he no longer plays the actual sport in an organized league, he is an incredible fantasy baseball player. Someday Lewie will be GM of a major league team--unless he becomes President.
In addition to reading and writing about baseball, Lewie spends his time reading Wat...

5 - Brian DiTullio
Writer bio
Brian was born and raised in the Youngstown, Ohio, area. He had a passion for writing from a very early age and a rabid interest in fantasy gaming that resulted in unfair stereotyping (He never dressed up, that would be stupid.)
Brian remembers Red Right 88 and the other great Cleveland Browns teams doomed to failures of epic proportions and hopes one day to see the Lombardi Trophy raised in Cleveland. He defends the Browns to the death, whether they deserve it or not and continues to try and convert his wife (A Steelers fan) to the orange and brown.
Brian's family was very sports-minded and he began following the Browns and Indians at a very young age. Most of his hair loss can be attributed to the departure of the original Browns franchise in 1995 and the 1997 World Series, whic...

Yes I am a girl and I know my football! I have football in my blood. My dad played for the semi-pro team the New Orleans Blue Knights in the Dixie League and my brother played in college and finished his football career as a coach at Idaho State. That said, I followed my teams from the sidelines as a dancer or cheerleader from grade school to college, when my next step took me to the NFL,they were thrilled. You guessed it 2 year tour of duty with the New Orleans Saints as a Saintsation. Thanks mom for also talking shop with me!

Passion is what drives the world. Passion lights the fire under us all and forces us to jump higher, reach further, and push harder than we ever thought possible. It drives us never to give up and never give in, even when the odds are stacked against us. Others may have the ability to put us down, but passion is what make sure that nobody will ever keep us there.
Passion, then, is a kind of voodoo magic...wouldn't you say?

12 - John Howell
Writer bio
John Wingspread Howell is originally from Buffalo, has lived in the Rockies, the Southwest and now the Midwest, in the Chicago suburbs. A novelist, poet, columnist, speaker, weblisher, theologian and business consultant.
John is Bleacher Report's Premier Underdog Correspondent, Chief Chicago Red Stars Correspondent, and among the top WPS correspondents. He also writes about Buffalo sports.
John has a spiritual attraction to underdogs in sports and life in general and sees sports as a great metaphor for the struggle of the little guy to beat the odds and win at life. Coming from Buffalo, this may not be surprising. Although he has now been a resident of Chicagoland longer than his native Western New York, John's first loyalty in any sport in any league in which Buffalo has a franc...

I'm your average guy from West Virginia who is devoted to the WVU Mountaineers. I am not a "great" writer by far but sometimes my brain and my fingers get together and act like a bunch of birds going after the last sunflower seed on a snowy January morning. Every now and then they peck out a little something useful.
I am the creator of the website www.thankscoachrod.com, a site dedicated to the terrible way Coach Rich Rodriguez left WVU. However, I never place the whole blame on him.
I hope I can write something to keep ya coming back...

Top Rated Illinois Fighting Illini Basketball Writer On B/R
Hey, I am a 12 year old from Chicago(i am actually from the suburbs, but i hate explaining). The thing i write about most is The Fighting Illini. They are definately my favorite sports team. Dee Brown, my favorite athlete ever. Admire him so much, he is my role model.
I do have a facebook. Send me a friend request but say you are from B/R so i dont ignore your request. I don't accept stalkers. Haha. I am not a Josh Dhani or anything. I am definately not as good of a writer as him. He is probably my favorite writer on here. GO ILLINI!!

I am a physical education teacher at the high school level. Since my profession is one that promotes physical fitness I try to keep in shape in order to set a good example for my students. Trying to encourage high school age students to make sound choices regarding exercise and diet becomes much more difficult if you cannot practice what you preach. Respect is something that is very important to me and it is something that is earned by what you do not by what you say. In a manner of speaking, setting a good example for students is one way I try to earn their respect. Anyway, that is my approach to my profession and pretty much to life as well.

My name is Michael North and I am graduating from the University of Miami in May 2008. I love all sports except hockey and I played baseball for Penn State during my sophomore year in college. Writing about sports seems incredibly cool and it is definitely something that I would love to do for a living.
