I am a 25-year-old aspiring baseball writer. I grew up to stories of Willie Mays, the Miracle Mets and the Bronx Zoo from my father. Although my playing days never amounted to much, baseball has always remained my passion. I moved to Boston from the midwest and have come to both enjoy and loathe the hype and hysteria of living in the heart of Red Sox Nation. The Twins are my team, a result of being born and raised in Iowa and attending college in Minnesota. Although I'd consider myself a baseball fan first and foremost and a Twins fan second. If you're ever in the mood to talk baseball, or any sport for that matter, you can drop me a line or leave a comment on my blog.

I was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin, aka, Titletown, USA. People not from Green Bay have no idea what it's like to live and die with a team like Green Bay does with the Packers. It really is unlike any other situation in all of sports.
I moved to Milwaukee in January 2005. I have been a Milwaukee Brewers season ticket holder since.
In 2007, I started writing for a small baseball site that has since ceased to exist. I moved on to MVN in July 2007. I started to get quite a good following over there. I now write for Sportsbubbler.com which is a fan site for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. I was also convinced by a few writers here that I should give Bleacher Report a try as well.
Like most of you, I'm a huge sports nut. My favorite teams don't need to be playing for me...

I am a 25-year-old journalist and Mets fan living in Brooklyn, having moved from England in June 2009.
I am obsessed with baseball, basketball, New York sports and statistics.
I am excited to report that I am no longer set for another season of sleepless nights in front of the computer watching internet streams of sports games happening 2,500 miles away from me when I have to be at work a mere few hours after they conclude.
This summer I married my beautiful fiancee Lisa, and now I have the daunting task of trying to move all of our belongings into our new apartment.
I studied for my BA (hons) in journalism at the University of Central Lancashire in England and at SUNY Plattsburgh in upstate New York.

I am a journalism student at Loyola University Chicago. I am a junior, and have been a Cubs fan since 1997. I'm engaged, to an incredible woman named Maria, which should probably have been the first thing I wrote but which I'm sure is less important to all of you than to me.
I envision myself as both a writer and a baseball analyst, and am committed to writing only articles that are well-researched and thought-provoking. I'm trying to be objective and to treat issues regarding my Cubbies with cool restraint, but you'll find that at heart, I'm a pretty unabashed homer.

I am an independent investment professional who likes sabermetrics (baseball science) because of its similarity to analyzing stocks: download numbers onto an Excel spreadsheet and try to "mine" the data.
In the investment field, I am the author of "A Modern Approach to Graham and Dodd Investing," (Wiley, 2004) and predicted the 2008 stock market crash.

I admit I used to play the game where I was focused on moving up the ladder at B/R, trying my best to be the top writer and all that. But now I no longer pimp my articles, or look for websites to artificially increase readership, and I'm satisified writing what I want and not some nonsence just to attract reads.

I am a former writer for The Press of Atlantic City and covered high school sports, some college and a couple of pro boxing events during my 23-year career. In my career, I have covered high school and college playoff games, working next to guys like Bob Brookover and Mark Narduci, both of the Philadelphia Inquirer. I switched careers and now cook for a living. I am a four-for-four Philly guy and like the Phillies first, Eagles second, Flyers, then Sixers. The order can change depending on how the seasons run. Now that the Phillies have won a second World Series, the rest of the team are on the clock. It is probably why there is more pressure on the Eagles than ever before. To the left is a picture of me near the top of Mt. Lemmon -- the only location of snow in Tucson, Arizona.
Currently in high school, I run cross-country and track (one-mile and two-mile). I have a deep love for all Minnesota sports, but I have a deeper love for my Creator, Jesus Christ. I believe that I am saved by grace, through faith in Christ alone. I hope to bring you entertaining and relevant articles while I rant on whichever Minnesota sport happens to be struggling.
I recently came closer to Mexico when I moved to Tucson, Arizona, but moved farther away from my Minnesota sports.
No, I don't limit my interests to Minnesota sports. I love all sports, but I tend to gravitate towards baseball. I will try to find peace with Arizona fans and maybe pick up a team or three.

In late August, 1951, I went home to watch Flash Gordon on New York's channel 11, but I was disappointed. There was a baseball game on channel 11. I started to watch, and that was it. I became a Yankees' fan.
We have many roles in our lives, but we are told that we are individuals and that our baseball team is not us. To each her own. Few things besides family ever came before the Yankees. One can agree or disagree, but one cannot deny I had the right to that choice.
I received my doctorate from NYU in science education in 1968. I remember during one of my final conferences with my advisor, the Yankees beat the Angels 1-0 on a Frank Fernandez home run.
I taught at various levels, ranging from graduate school to junior high school for 39 years. I always enjoyed writi...

Shay Roddy has been covering the Phillies since the 2008 season. Good time to start, huh?
He started here at Bleacher Report as a Phillies columnist around the All-Star break in 2008. During the magical Phillies run in 2008, Shay contributed to FOX 29’s Post-Game show as well as WIP among other platforms.
After covering the Phillies’ World Series Championship season, Shay began to think seriously about starting a site of his own. About two months after the parade down Broad Street, Phillie Phanatics opened as welcome addition to the Phillies media scene.
For the 2009 season, Shay became a Featured Columnist for Bleacher Report, and continued to make several weekly contributions.

I am an Iona College Alum and currently looking into going after a Masters in either journalism or public communications and media.
I have been raised as a Yankee fan since I was a little kid, but I truly fell in love with them when they produced what was, in my opinion, the greatest team to ever take the field: the 1998 team. I was 10 years old when the Yanks swept the Padres in the World Series. Since then, I have followed their every move, along with moves throughout the rest of Major League Baseball.
In addition, I hold a great interest in the National Football League, as well.

I am a 27 year old from Colorado Springs, CO. I grew up in Denver and have been a baseball fan, and more specifically, a Rockies fan since their inception. As the passion became a career quest, I realized I lost some innocence and spark to my writing. With that being decided upon, my mission has reverted back. I no longer write as a career goal, simply for the love of writing and the love of the sport. Simply a husband, a Dad and a passionate Sox fan who loves to write. I like it better like this.
At the end of the game, the kings and the pawns go in the same box. However, if I have the choice, I'd prefer to be a king.

I live in the boondocks, Wayne County, PA, to be a bit more precise. However, right now I am up in Ithaca, going to school at Cornell- as a philosophy/government major.
My life pretty much (and sadly) revovles around baseball and politics. I am considering beginning blogging about both (http://ramblingsofpoliticaljunkie.blogspot.com/)... but I don't know if I want to kill that much time in my life.
My Met fanhood is a product of my grandmother who was a Dodger turned Met fan (my whole family is from NYC). When there is no baseball, football is my salvation (and when there is neither it is sort of a dark ages for me in a way... and at the same time, it is a time of great anticipation, for my fantasy baseball draft and opening day). I honestly don't know how I started liking...

I am a 42 year old female from Ossining, NY. My husband Brian and I have been married for almost 17 years, we don't have children, so our Mets players are like sons to us.
Baseball is a big year round part of our lives as both of us have been loyal Mets fans since we were kids.
We are both very knowlegeable and passionate fans who do try hard to find the good in our players, we want to see them win obviously, but as long as they show they are doing their best and trying their hardest, we are fine with just enjoying them.
Mike Kent has set up a Mets Wiki and i have been helping him however possible, mainly editing, please feel free to check out the site and give us some contributions to make it even better and more complete.
