Writer bio
I was born and raised in Sports. I was raised in a household of Cowboys fans and decided at early age I wanted to choose a different team. At age 6, I watched the Cowboys/Falcons playoff game and decided I liked the Falcons uniforms. From that day forward, I was a fan.

3 - John McCurdy
Writer bio
John is a full-time sportswriter for the Atlanta Jewish Times, covering high school and community athletics in the local area. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia (Class of '09) in three years with a dual degree in Magazine Journalism and Spanish.
A native of Stone Mountain, John has lived in suburban Atlanta his whole life. Naturally, he has some partiality to the hometown teams, especially the Atlanta Hawks. And of course, while at UGA, he became quite the Bulldog fan as well.
During his college career John co-hosted a weekly sports talk show on WUOG 90.5 FM Athens, interned as an editor here on B/R, and earned a 3.97 overall GPA. These days, if he's not at work, he's probably exercising; this nut does 50 miles of running and 10 hours of strength train...

If you're looking for a journalism pedigree, it's not here.
I am a retired ironworker and heavy equipment fabricator, living in East Central Alabama. After leaving the aforementioned field, I took up writing, blogging and just generally spreading my delicate literary work across the wild and wonderful web.
I have written for a small town newspaper and currently keep two blogs, each authored under a different pseudonym.
I am a long time fan of the Atlanta Falcons (NFL), Georgia Bulldogs (NCAA Football) and the Southeastern Conference (SEC) as a whole.
Personally, I like (in no particular order) football, cigars, red wine, my parakeet, football, home-cooked barbecue, old pick-up trucks, arguing, football, guns, reading, writing, history and of course, football.

My name is Jesse I'm a sports writer for First Tier Sports. You can check out the website at: www.firsttiersports.com.
I live in Houston and love going to sporting events as well as watching them on the TV.
ESPN has been killing me the past few years, not sure if they have been getting worse or I have been getting smarter.
For some reason I'm still glued to the TV come pointless sporting events such as the NFL draft and the MLB home run derby, which are both anchored by Chris Berman.
I seem to be the only fan of Joe Buck and Joe Morgan left.
I love the unpredictability of sports and watching the greatest athletes in the world competing against one another. I guess I'm just "a fan of man".
