Josh Nason has been covering sports since 1994 by writing, commentating and interviewing those who play the sports we love. After leaving the business for a few years, Nason found blogging in 2007, starting up SmallWhiteBall.com and being the first sports blog to break the news on the ESPN Dana Jacobson story. Nason also started another blog, RopesRingandCage.com that focuses strictly on MMA, wrestling and boxing.

My wife often wonders how I can watch SportsCenter or ESPN News all day long. My answer to her is "I love sports". I will watch any sports on TV. I remember watching ping pong during the Beijing Olympics at 2 am.

Anyway, born and raised in Philadelphia, I will only cheer for the Eagles, Phillies and Sixers. I also graduated from Penn State so GO LIONS. For the past 2 years, I am totally addicted to MMA and TUF. I will now attempt to write some good articles.

Ron Yacovetti’s background has many levels that eventually came together in concert with his MMA career endeavors. Ron’s connection with combat sports began at a young age, with his interest and success in wrestling during junior high and high school as well as a few years spent as a student of Judo, where his coach had hoped to groom him for an Olympic bid.

Ron also competed as a Junior Lightweight bodybuilder, capturing a variety of local and regional titles, all leading up to his two time runner-up status in the Junior Mr. USA. I'm a huge pro wrestling fan. I still remember my very first WWF live show. It pitted Hulk Hogan against Big John Studd. Ever since then I got hooked. It's the ultimate male soap opera.

I've always wanted to write for the WWE either in their creative team or for their magazine. Your looking at an avid Yankee and MMA fan. As far as sports go I was once a huge fan of the sweet science but have lost interest as of late. I grew up on the border of VT and NY on an island in the middle of Lake Champlain. You might say this means I should be a Sox fan by demographic but thats exactly why I love the Yanks. I'm currently a student pursuing a degree in philosophy. In the past I have been a lifeguard, technical support agent at a call center, grill cook at a steakhouse, and once, spent a month playing poker online for money. Out of these things, the only one of those occupations that I would now recommend for a young person is being a lifeguard. That's just my opinion.

While thinking about some philosophical questions on occasion, I have always been fascinated by sports and the incredible people that compete in them.

While I am a hockey and basketball fan, and keep up with a little bit on golf, football, soccer, boxing, I have really become most interested in two sports: MMA, and Tennis. While I do not actively participate in tennis, I am training in mixed martial arts.

I Wrestled for Windy City Pro Wrestling in 2000.
I served 5 years in the U.S. Army Infantry got to see Alaska for 2 years and spent a month in Japan. those were the highlights. also spent a year in Iraq that is where the picture comes from.I also performed work during hurricane Katrina relief
