2 - Tom Edrington

Writer bio

Tom is a former sports writer for the Tampa Tribune. He spent 10 years covering Florida State football, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the PGA Tour. He won two national writing awards from the Golf Writers Association of America.

During his Tribune days, he had personal interviews with Jack Nicklaus, Muhammad Ali, Bear Bryant, Don Shula, and a long list of legendary athletes. During the 1979 Florida State football season, coach Bobby Bowden dubbed Edrington his "personal good-luck charm." It was an incredible season for FSU and culminated with the national championship game in the old Miami Orange Bowl where the Seminoles were defeated by the Barry Switzer-coached Oklahoma squad led by Heismann Trophy winner Billy Sims.

Tom was fortunate to chronicle at least half of J...

I'm a teacher, caddy, writer, and daddy.

There are three deep cuts in my heart. My sports heart.

1976. Final Four. A Jersey-boy roots for Rutgers. I'd graduate from RU fourteen-years later.

1977. The Sun Bowl. From snowy New Jersey, that same Jersey-boy would watch the orange-helmeted University of Florida Gators play Texas A&M. I'd leave my heart in Gainesville as an undergraduate.

My whole life. New York is the baseball capital of the country. Born and raised in New Jersey, I had no choice. The Yankees were offered to me. They stuck.

And to this day, I die hard for all three teams. I'd been scarred.

I'm a 24 year old sports fan who lives New Orleans, LA.

I sit in section 120, row 16, seats 8 and 9 at all the Hornets games. At the end of last year I managed to get on the jumbotron pretty regularly by being a drunken jackass and I expect that trend to continue this year.

Although for a living I flip houses and play poker, my passion is and always has been sports. I'm an avid golfer and finally broke 70 this summer.

Recently I made five birdies in only nine holes.

My favorite sports to watch are listed below in tiers.

1: Football, Basketball, Golf
2: Baseball, Tennis
3: Soccer, Hockey

Originally from Los Angeles, CA, I am a junior at the University of California, Berkeley. I'm studying journalism with an emphasis on new media. I am both an avid golfer and fervent fan of the game. I played competitively throughout high school, received a few small scholarships to play in college, but found my calling at Cal. I'm obsessed with golf; everything from first tee jitters to the sweet, incomparable feeling of holding your finish after a clean, purely struck shot--it's the greatest sport around.

Writer bio

I have been writing sports since 2000, covering the NFL and the Pittsburgh Steelers for the now-defunct Football Network, and for Lindy's online. In recent years, I have blogged about West Virginia football, following the Mountaineers during their 2006 and 2007 seasons, both of which ended with January bowl victories. I really cannot take credit for those wins, but it sure was fun being a part of it.

I have also written two novels, with a 1970s pine-riding college football wideout protagonist in the earlier one, and with the same guy as a loser stockbroker during the go-go years of the '80s in the other.

I admit I used to play the game where I was focused on moving up the ladder at B/R, trying my best to be the top writer and all that. But now I no longer pimp my articles, or look for websites to artificially increase readership, and I'm satisified writing what I want and not some nonsence just to attract reads.

Yep, I spent about a year ranked #1 in MLB and the Cubs, and was ranked as high as #2 overall on the site at one time. These days, I am happy simply contributing to the site and allowing others to take the mantle.

I think I am still the Chicago Cubs community leader, and I know I am a featured columnist for the Cubs and Bears. I have written more than 500 articles, though I ca...

Writer bio

My name is Kyle McMorrow and I recently graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Throughout my various jobs and internships I have interviewed players and managers for the evening news and websites. By far my favorite interview was when I went to Shea Stadium to gather sound from Tom Glavine after his 300th victory.

I have written for the Big Ten Networks website, and interned at ABC in New York. While I am currently a freelance writer for different New York teams, I hope to find something more permanent and stable soon.

I have always had a love for New York teams like the Yankees, Knicks, Giants, and Rangers. I live and breath sports, if they were ever taken away from me I think I'd go mad. My most memorable memory of any New York sport ...

Currently begun work on a massive project called 31 Days, 31 Prospects. To begin next month, I'll feature 31 prospects, with seemingly unlimited potential, one each day exclusively on Bleacher Report. Both men and women will be featured, some are fairly big names already, others are tucked away in the shadows waiting for their call.

Update: I've decided to postpone 31 in 31 til January. The workload was just too much for the two week time frame I left myself. But rest assured I'm still going to be doing it.
