Writer bio
Jon is a graduate student working on his Masters Degree in writing. He is a fan of all sports Minnesotan, but ranks mixed martial arts as his favorite sport. He was a late bloomer to MMA, not really getting into the sport until the Tito/Shamrock feud began, but doesn't really feel like he missed much leading up to all the ado.
Depending on what article you read, Jon is between 5'4"-6'8", between 120-320 pounds and may or may not be a member of the Communist party. He is single/married/divorced/widowed and enjoys drinking in the dark.
Jon is also the first winner of the Bleacher Report Humor Bowl, which he attributes either to not being held enough by his mother, or a little too much by his "uncle".

Your looking at an avid Yankee and MMA fan. As far as sports go I was once a huge fan of the sweet science but have lost interest as of late. I grew up on the border of VT and NY on an island in the middle of Lake Champlain. You might say this means I should be a Sox fan by demographic but thats exactly why I love the Yanks. Im a proud father of two munchkins by my beautiful wife and thats about it. I love an intellectual discussion on either topic of interest with anyone who will listen or give input. Take care.

I'm a huge fan of MMA and combat sports in general. Though I respect every fighter, I particularly admire Fedor, Kenny Florian, and of course, The Prodigy. I enjoy training in jiu-jitsu, and seem to do alright in grappling tournaments. However, I don't ever plan on competing in MMA. Not only do I have a fear of being kicked in the head, but I'm also afraid of having ears like Randy Couture's. Other than that, I'm fairly close to earning B.A.'s in Anthropology and Psychology, and hope to complete either one or both degrees within the next two years. As they say on Sherdog: "War BJ!!!"

I'm just an average guy with an average life. Nothing above average ever happens to me, but nothing below average happens to me either. To break the boredom of my life, I like to write down some of my random thoughts about MMA. No doubt most of you will find my rants to be undoubtedly average, but it's better I rant to the Internet masses than to the few friends I have.
