Mother Watson is much better; when that's the case, you better believe that her son is doing pretty well, too.
The outpouring of love, support and sympathy for myself, my mother, my wife and the rest of my family has been most touching. I don't have the words to truly express how I feel, so I will just offer up a deep, heartfelt "Thank you" for the bulletin board notes, e-mails and Private Messages. I have literally been encouraged by people from all over the globe -- 5 different continents -- and from all walks of life.
I would like to think that Bleacher Report is a special place that draws exceptional people together!

I admit I used to play the game where I was focused on moving up the ladder at B/R, trying my best to be the top writer and all that. But now I no longer pimp my articles, or look for websites to artificially increase readership, and I'm satisified writing what I want and not some nonsence just to attract reads.
Yep, I spent about a year ranked #1 in MLB and the Cubs, and was ranked as high as #2 overall on the site at one time. These days, I am happy simply contributing to the site and allowing others to take the mantle.
I think I am still the Chicago Cubs community leader, and I know I am a featured columnist for the Cubs and Bears. I have written more than 500 articles, though I ca...

"Ability May Get You To The Top, But It Takes Character To Keep You There."
Kelly's has a love of NASCAR that borders on obsession. Since July of 2001 she has been hooked on this fast paced sport and it only took 160 laps at the Daytona International Speedway and a Dale Earnhardt Jr. victory to seal her fate.
Since then she has made NASCAR a major part of her life and plans for that to continue as she earns her Bachelors Degree in Corporate Communications in hopes of becoming a journalist for the sport she loves so very much.
You can normally find her in front of the TV whenever there are cars on the track: practice, qualifying and racing. And if it's July you'll find her at the Daytona International Speedway, her home away from home, for the July Coke Zero 400, a tra...

Hi!
I'm Barney Corkhill, the Liverpool Community Leader for Bleacher Report! Obviously that means I'm a Liverpool fan and I look forward to celebrating the league title finally coming home this season! Other than football, I like playing and watching rugby, cricket, tennis and any other sports really!
In terms of music, The Beatles are by far the greatest band of all time (fact), and it just so happens that they come from the greatest city of all time as well (fact)! I play drums and can play a lot of the Beatles songs on the piano! Anyway, this is a sports site not a music site so I'll stop there! I'm 16 years old, I turn 17 on January 28th. I was born in Rockville, MD, and I now live in suburban Silver Spring, MD. That said, I am no DC fan. Truth be told, I can't stand DC. I'm a Baltimore guy. Love the Ravens, love the Orioles, love everything related to Baltimore.
Some people have this emotional story that hits you hard about how they became a sports fan. Not me. I had a VCR back in the day (back in the day means 1998), and I would buy these "Year In Sports" tapes. I loved watching the Cowboys play back then, so I was a football guy right away. I would often go into the front yard with dad, and he would throw to me, and I would count how many times I caught the ball, as opposed to drops. Then in 2001, I watched my first baseball. Diamondbacks-Yankees. World Series....

I'm leaving, guys. To any and all my fans, and those whose writing I was a fan of, I will miss you tremendously. When I first came to this site it was like a huge awakening, and I loved it, although I ran into some issues with the people running it even back then that forced me to leave for quite a while.
I came back, and was more than excited about the place, despite some changes that had taken place I felt were a little disjointed.
That being said, these latest changes, coupled with the complete lack of respect by B/R management for us writers in not first notifying us of the changes BEFOREHAND,...

Born in the pristine southern city of Savannah, Georgia, I lived a Huck Finn childhood of fishing, shrimping, crabbing, and swimming in the intercoastal waterways of coastal Georgia. Though I now live in Idaho, I remain loyal to the Georgia Bulldogs. I bleed Bulldog red and black! How 'bout them DAWGS!
I have written weekly articles for several newspapers over the past 15 years.
While I enjoy almost all sports - I LOVE College Football!!!
