I'm currently a freelance MMA writer living in Ontario, Canada.

I've always been interested in combat sports, and the incredible athletes that compete in them. I believe in MMA, and want to share my knowledge and enjoyment with the world. I am a dedicated MMA analyst, and enjoy breaking down the technical details of MMA bouts, while providing further insight into the many intricacies of the sport.

I've trained in martial arts, and am currently training in wrestling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

After leaving the business for a few years, Nason found blogging in 2007, starting up New England sports and media centric Small White Ball.com and being the first sports blog to break the news on the ESPN Dana Jacobson story. I was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin, aka, Titletown, USA. People not from Green Bay have no idea what it's like to live and die with a team like Green Bay does with the Packers. It really is unlike any other situation in all of sports.

I moved to Milwaukee in January 2005. I have been a Milwaukee Brewers season ticket holder since.

In 2007, I started writing for a small baseball site that has since ceased to exist. I moved on to MVN in July 2007. I started to get quite a good following over there. I now write for Sportsbubbler.com which is a fan site for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. I was also convinced by a few writers here that I should give Bleacher Report a try as well.

Like most of you, I'm a huge sports nut. My favorite teams don't need to be playing for me...

June 1968- graduated from Bradley University with a B.A. in Secondary (grades 6-12/H.S.) Education (majors Eng. & P.E.)

1969-1972- had two sons--Jim 4-16-1969 & Steven 5-4-1972. My biggest achievements in life.

1976- began teaching and also started taking classes in Registered Nursing

1980-graduated & began working as an RN in Mother/Baby Unit

1980-1989 worked in OB at 2 hospitals & cont'd substitute teaching

1989-1996-worked in Adolescent Psych as the 11-7 Charge nurse and developed the 11-7 protocols.

1993-My first grandchild was born on March 4 & he is now the oldest of my six grandchildren.

1996- Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (onset was actally 1965). Began working in Adult Psych

9-13-2001- resigned as 11-7 Charge RN on PSYCHIATRIC ...

I am an avid sports fan as I watch anything that is sports related. I was introduced to mixed martial arts during the first season of The Ultimate Fighter in 2005. I was hooked immediately and it quickly became another passion of mine along with the NY Yankees. I graduated from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting in 2000 and combined my love of mixed martial arts along with my love of writing and started penning articles for Fightticker.com, I parlayed that into a role with one of the industry leading websites, Five Ounces of Pain. I currently write for MMA Opinion and The Examiner which allows me access to fighters, events and some behind the scenes information that I normally would not have access to.

Currently studying at Dublin Institute of Technology, I've been a huge MMA fan ever since 2007, when I watched Randy Couture defeat Gabriel Gonzaga for the UFC Heavyweight belt.

Not long after, I found out about PRIDE, which I didn't know was defunct at the time, and then started watching global MMA. With the collapse of PRIDE, we're left with some new promotions like DREAM, Sengoku and Strikeforce.

My guess is that by 2011 it will have boiled down to UFC, Strikeforce and Sengoku.

17 years old from New Jersey. Currently in my Senior year of High School and plan on attending college with the intent to earn a degree in Journalism. I've been here on B/R for a while now, one a few vets still in the MMA section and I plan on staying here for as long as I possibly can.
