I am a 20-year-old student currently studying Legal Science and Italian in Galway. However upon completion of my BA degree I wish to pursue a career in journalism. I grew up in Hampshire but have lived in the motherland for the past 10 years. A loyal Liverpool fan since a toddler, I must admit to having a soft spot for my local side Southampton. I try to go to Galway United games as often as possible, weather permitting of course. An avid football fan, in addition I enjoy watching tennis, rugby, cricket and athletics. As an ex rower sporting heroes include Sir Steve Redgrave, Sir Matthew Pinsent and James Cracknell. Football wise Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Fernando Torres are all inspirational to watch. I also have a keen interest in the fortunes of Andy Murray. Finally hope En...

Andrew has been around on Bleacher virtually from the start and a community leader for around 2 years in the World Football section. He is a former professional footballer in the South African lower leagues with a love for very much everything football.
24 year old Andrew spent the last 3 months of the 2008/09 season as a Setanta football reporter for http://www.setanta.com/uk in the Scottish Premier League section. He writes match reports, gives out player ratings and covers the post match interviews every weekend from an SPL ground.
Sadly, the demise of Setanta means he will be looking for new employment during his final year of his BA Journalism degree at university but has something in the pipeline. He'll keep you all posted.

Hi!
I'm Barney Corkhill, the Liverpool Community Leader for Bleacher Report! Obviously that means I'm a Liverpool fan and I look forward to celebrating the league title finally coming home this season! Other than football, I like playing and watching rugby, cricket, tennis and any other sports really!
In terms of music, The Beatles are by far the greatest band of all time (fact), and it just so happens that they come from the greatest city of all time as well (fact)! I play drums and can play a lot of the Beatles songs on the piano! Anyway, this is a sports site not a music site so I'll stop there! My favourite film is Green Street - It was good enough to almost turn me into a West Ham fan for an hour and it certainly had "I'm forever blowing bubbles" in my head rather ...

But then, Paston saved it.
Again, it was euphoria, more hugging strangers, dancing, and hoarse-throated chanting of unintelligible lyrics.
Injury time seemed to drag into an eternity before those magical peeps were heard from the officials whistle, like a Bacchian symphony signalling the dawn of an ancient mythical festival, the signal for the crowd to roar the triumph to the ends of the country.
We trooped out of the ground and into the night, elation in our eyes, smiles on our faces, and a warmth in our hearts that not even the coldest and strongest Wellington wind could blow away.
New Zealand are going to the World Cup for the second time ever and no matter what happens at the tournament, we have already won our final.

B/R World Football Writer of the Year 2008.
Former B/R Staff Editor
Now B/R World Football Team Leader
I am both a history (BA) and journalism (MA) graduate, which is only impressive when you consider they are just about the only combination of degrees that guarantee you won't get a job in the current economic climate.
Nevertheless, I hope to one day make it as a sports journalist of the highest level. If nothing else, a man can dream.
I spent over a year as a Staff Editor here at Bleacher Report, responsible for editing contributions and polishing articles for the World Football and Cricket sections of the site. I'm now Team Leader for the World Football section, trying to assist the ever-growing ranks of Featured Columnists with article ideas and advice.

I have been here now for seven months, and I finally will write a proper bio (somewhat).
I originally became a sports fan by watching some major sporting events without realizing it (1998 World Cup final, 1999 Champions League final, 1999 MLB Playoffs etc), and from the excitement that I got from watching these games, I started to take a deeper interest into many different types of sports all throughout the world.
Around six months ago, I was searching Google when I came across an article that criticized Federico Macheda after he scored the winning goal for Manchester United over Aston Villa that Sunday, which was on this site. After seeing it and reading it, I realized that I could write something better than that, and that caused me to start my career here on B/R.
During my ...

I am a life long Liverpool fan whose days of supporting the club start from the era of Kevin Keegan. Needless to say, I've lived through some great and some not so great times at Liverpool FC. However for me, there is no other football club in the world like it and like all Liverpool fans hope that there are more great times on the horizon.
I also enjoy pretty much most other sports. I won’t attempt to list them all, but just a few would include, tennis, cricket, golf, athletics, F1, rugby and so on.............
I hope that I can add something to the website and in particular to its Liverpool section. Since I started contributing to Bleacher, I've had an article featured on Foxsports.com
Thanks for stopping by and reading my articles and comments. Happy reading and to all you ...

My name is Austin Lindberg, I graduated from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota with a degree in print journalism. I primarily focus on world football/soccer, mostly the English Premiership and La Liga but have quite a passion for baseball, hockey and motorcycle racing as well.
Growing up in Minnesota, hockey is in my blood but after briefly living in West London, soccer became my passion. You can look forward to (or not, that's your business) pieces on the transfer window, the US Men's National Team, Chelsea, the Twins and the Wild.
I hope some of you enjoy my work, if you would like to get in touch with me I can be reached at lindberg.austin@gmail.com and I'm on facebook. After a fair bit of hesitance, I finally joined twitter. You can follow me there at htt...

I am 28-year-old bubblehead world football lover. I am studying communications full-time at the University here in the city (SF) for another year before I systematically conquer the world (in an alternate universe) while I slowly fade away into obscurity (in this one).
I play a lot of soccer because I am comfortable expressing myself that way and I am good enough at it to be so.
If you want to read objective match reports, there are plenty of sites for that, and we all know and use them. However, there's only one person who sees the game as I do; that's me, and there's only one person who can express it; also me.
If you use the term "whilst", you may get a word from me.

Hi. I'm David Jacobs. Or, for those of you who know me for my parodies - Weird Dave Stankovic.
I live in England. Currently studying for A-levels at King Solomon High School. I'm 18 years old and a devoted fan of Tottenham Hotspur FC.
Admittedly, I went through the alternating stages of 'Like football' and 'Don't like football'. Now I continue to like football so it's all good now :)
Started off by watching Manchester United in the Champions' League every week.
Then my uncle took me to my first Tottenham Hotspur match when I was 5 or 6.
4-0 against Watford. Ginola swivelling in and out of the Watford players like they were training cones.
I think it took off from there - I had officially become a Spurs fan.
As strange as it may seem though, some of my family are Arsenal...

Finished uni in 2007 and then spent some months travelling Thailand, Singapore, Austalia, New Zealand and Japan. I'm back home (near London) and freelance as a football reporter - mainly for Southampton, Brighton and Aldershot home games - for a publication called The League Paper.
I'd like to become a full-time sports journalist but jobs are currently limited so I'll be using BR to develop my writing in the mean time.
I'm an Arsenal fan but I'll try to be as impartial as possible and write from a reporter's perspective.

A supporter of Liverpool since the age of eight, I have spent 21 years following the many ups and downs of this historical team.
Admiring the long standing morals and examples set by the club, I feel proud to be a part of the world famous support from the Anfield faithful.
I am a massive supporter of football as a whole and completley admire other teams like Man United, Arsenal, Everton, Spurs and Aston Villa, amongst others - I am lucky not to be tied to traditional rivalries as some supporters are.
I also have a huge passion for pretty much any sport including Golf, Basketball, Tennis, Motorsports, and American Football being amongst my favourites.
Its only really the last four or five years ive started to understand a lot more about football and lately I have found I have...

Hey everyone, I am the Community Leader of Real Madrid, and I am here to help, so if you need any help, drop a post on my Bulletin Board below, I'll be glad to help, regardless of the club you support
I have been supporting Real Madrid for a long time now (10 years), and have recently (2 years) started supporting Arsenal.
I try to shine some light on the less known and obviously underestimated Real Madrid Cantera—The youth academy of Real Madrid by ...

I am currently finishing up my Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and History at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Contrary to popular belief, I have no interest in AFL, Rugby League/Union or Cricket. My only love is football and I live and breathe this game every day. I never shy from giving a controversial opinion and love to stir up debates in anything related to this beautiful game. My initial skepticism of this community has given way to a belief that this site can transform into a place for 'serious journalism.'
I have contributed to numerous publications in Australia and Singapore. I try never to rewrite my lines as like Arundhati Roy, I believe that a writing style is deeply personal and subjective. It is a true reflection of how an individual feels a...

Editor and copywriter by day, World Cup blogger every morning.
I'm based in the UK, so most of my news comes from the media here. I also keep an eye out for news stories and quirky tales, most of which surface in Slovenian subscription services, New Zealand dailies and countless obscure blogs.
In short, I am a football news - grammar freak. Say hello and leave your favourite palindrome behind as a gift.

Basically, I came here to comment and not write...
but occasionally, i do write a bit just to express on things that are happening around my fav club or player....
I'm 18 this year, currently doing my foundation in Engineering in University of Nottingham, Malaysia Campus. I enjoy watching football and commenting on players and tactics in the game. I support Chelsea and also some other specific players for whatever reason i have.
For national team I support Brazil and England (rather weird for someone to support two teams). I really hope both teams can reach the final.
I maybe a little bias while commenting as I don't like Manchester United due to some extremely case that happened in my life before hand. But anyway, a good football club is a good football club and you can't s...
