I am a fourth year student at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication as a Broadcast Journalism major. I have been involved in sports for my entire life.

As a child, listening and learning from my father, and then playing as soon as I could walk and run - Little League, AYSO, and Club Soccer throughout California. As I grew, I added football and basketball to the mix, until entering high school where I dedicated all my efforts and focused on football.

I was an undersized blocking and goal line tight end who also doubled as a defensive linemen and linebacker, standing at a meager 6'2', 231 pounds - a throwback to the old days of football. My dad would have been proud to see that.

I generally love all sports, but have a passion for the pageantry and traditions of college football. Moving from Pac 10 country to Big 12 country 2 years ago has really given me a broader base of knowledge and a better appreciation of how the game really impacts communities, culture and lifestyles. Played a bit of college basketball and am also a fan of the NFL and NBA. Published my own college football blog for 3 years in Phoenix, AZ, mainly focusing on the BCS and the Fiesta Bowl.
