I'm a recently-graduated alumnus of Indiana University, with a degree in journalism and a double major in political science.

Sports reporting is what I had planned to do with said degree -- the economy had other ideas. So for the time being, I'm just counting down the days until the government starts adding me to the 8 1/2 percent and working as hard as I can to change that.

I spent last summer interning for MLB.com covering the Washington Nationals in D.C., and I covered the IU men's basketball team for the Indiana Daily Student during the 2008-2009 season. During my time on the sports desk there, I also covered IU women's basketball and baseball, and ran the desk as an editor twice. I was editor-in-chief for one summer too, since you can never have too many ulcers.

Tom is a former sports writer for the Tampa Tribune. He spent 10 years covering Florida State football, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the PGA Tour. He won two national writing awards from the Golf Writers Association of America.

During his Tribune days, he had personal interviews with Jack Nicklaus, Muhammad Ali, Bear Bryant, Don Shula, and a long list of legendary athletes. During the 1979 Florida State football season, coach Bobby Bowden dubbed Edrington his "personal good-luck charm." It was an incredible season for FSU and culminated with the national championship game in the old Miami Orange Bowl where the Seminoles were defeated by the Barry Switzer-coached Oklahoma squad led by Heismann Trophy winner Billy Sims.

I love the opportunities Bleacher Report brings me, and I love representing one of the greatest colleges in the United States of America even more. I have been a Jayhawk as long as I can remember and will always be a Jayhawk no matter what.

Pardon the cliche, but nothing would please me more than getting paid to watch sports. I would also like to be a missionary at some point, and maybe teach or coach a subject or sport at a grade-school level.

Outside of sports, I love my family, eating (chicken, pasta, and chocolate), God, cartoons, and a wonderful blond-haired nursing major by the name of Heather.

I'm Alex, I'm from London, and I have a job as a journalist. About insurance. If there's anything that can drive the person truly mad, it's years of writing about insurance. Trust me. I know.
But my biggest love is sports. In the UK I love my soccer teams, but I have my big American passions: baseball and football. Sure, I can deal with the odd NBA game and March Madness, as well as a bit of the NFL, but give me Ken Griffey's swing and a Penn State White Out any day of the week.
So here I am. I have a blog - The View From North America - http://viewfromnorthamerica.blogspot.com that I hope you'll look at at some point.
Oh, and I also have a column on the UK's biggest commercial website, Sky Sports. Here's the link: http://www.skysports.com/opinion/0,25219,16560,00.html

I just recently received my Masters degree form Cal State Northridge and am considering the pursuit of my PHD in social studies/history. Along the way, I have developed a passion for USC football, which I have followed for more than twenty years. In a somewhat less myopic state of mind, I also follow all things college football and most sports in general. My other passion is politics and I am very involved in following the day to day workings of the Washington DC movers and shakers. Now single after my ex-fiance got smart, I have decided that my next relationship will be with a woman who matches my interests or can share me with the things I love. In the meantime, I will get along following the things that make me happy.

I am a lifelong sports fan. Football is my passion. I am originally from Michigan but have lived in Hawaii for 10 years. My teams are all the Detroit teams, especially the Red Wings. I have a unique rooting interest in college football. I love Notre Dame, but I root for Michigan whenever they are not playing Notre Dame. The reason is that I am from Michigan but my Irish Catholic roots outrank where I am from. I love seeing Michigan and Notre Dame players succeed in the NFL. My two favorite Quarterbacks are both named Brady. While Tom Brady is well on his way to a hall of fame career, Brady Quinn needs to find a way to get out of Loserville, I mean Cleveland. The Browns have done nothing but screw him since they drafted him and he needs to be on a team that appreciates his talents.

A sportswriter is neither a homer nor a fan. Instead, a sportswriter is a fan of the game, a fan of the sport he or she is covering. Though we might have favorite teams that we root for, when it comes to reporting, we call them as we see them.

We heap praise or lay blame whenever or wherever we feel it is justified. Even our favorite team’s most hated adversary can receive our profound admiration. And our team’s most beloved player or coach can be the subject of our admonition.

I am a sportswriter. It’s as plain and simple as that. I have no problem calling out the players and coaches that I admire when I feel their actions warrant it. But the game itself remains beyond reproach.

In addition to sportswriting, I have been a screenwriter, a media writer and an educator. A...

Yep, I'm a Gator fan (have been for decades) but didn't attend UF because my Father insisted that I go to school out of state... I was an undersized blocking and goal line tight end who also doubled as a defensive linemen and linebacker, standing at a meager 6'2', 231 pounds - a throwback to the old days of football. My dad would have been proud to see that.

I have been writing sports since 2000, covering the NFL and the Pittsburgh Steelers for the now-defunct Football Network, and for Lindy's online. In recent years, I have blogged about West Virginia football, following the Mountaineers during their 2006 and 2007 seasons, both of which ended with January bowl victories. I really cannot take credit for those wins, but it sure was fun being a part of it.

I have also written two novels, with a 1970s pine-riding college football wideout protagonist in the earlier one, and with the same guy as a loser stockbroker during the go-go years of the '80s in the other.

Basically I'm just a guy that loves reading, writing and talking about just any sport, bowling, tennis, golf, NFL, College anything, NBA, Olympics, Major League Baseball, though I still can't forget the 1994 strike. Sorry NHL and soccer fans, I don't really follow them, but I welcome anyone who can convince me to watch. In Olympic years, I do tune in though. I just created my own personal blog, http://allsportsdiscussion.blogspot.com/, in April 09. It's in it's infancy, so give me a chance to build it up. I will link all past Bleacher Report articles I've written.

I am also the community leader for ACC Football here on Bleacher Report, featured columnist for Clemson Tiger's football and am a contributing writer to http://georgiatech.raycomsports.com/blog/ at http://www.raycomsports....

Growing up in college football hotbed Oklahoma in the '80s in a home split along Bedlam lines, Allen Kenney's pro-OU dad got to him first. Despite lighting out for school in the college football wasteland of the Northeast at the age of 18, his passion for the game never waned. After graduating from Villanova University in 2001, Allen bumped around the country for a bit before settling temporarily in Chicago to complete a master's degree in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Since then, he has worked as a writer and investigative reporter in Washington, D.C., and recently completed a part-time MBA program at The George Washington University School of Business.

Allen's blog, Blatant Homerism, follows the college football world at large, with an...

I have two great passions in my life: My family and Georgia Bulldog football. In the "offseason", between January and August, I entertain myself with things like Braves baseball, national signing day, and the NFL Draft. However, it's all just a way to kill time until I can watch football again; there is no sport greater in my opinion. Go Dawgs!!!

I'm a sports enthusiast in the purest form. I love any sport, especially college football. I enjoy writing about sports almost as much as I do watching them. I love getting any kind of feedback on my articles and want to continue to improve as I go along. Don't be shy about leaving comments, I will do my best to get back to them within the day. I especially appreciate any critiquing on my writing style I receive, so feel free to leave some.

My love of the game came from watching Monday night football with my dad and going to Bama games during the end of the Bryant era when my older sister was at Alabama. I played high school football myself and wanted to play in college but wasn't recruited. I enrolled at Alabama at only 17 years old in 1984 and was still developing physically. I decided to walk on the football team once but got very ill before winter training and had to drop out. I started playing rugby for Alabama that fall to get into shape for another shot but wound up getting seriously injured doing that so at that point I had to just stick to the books and be a fan.

Today I make my living as a computer programmer and live in Argo Alabama.

I'm a creative writing major at SUNY Oswego, and as journalism is no longer my thing, my writing may at times stray from typical journalistic style and end up closer to a creative essay.

I'm the featured columnist for Syracuse football here on Bleacher Report.

Sports and writing are my two passions (as well as the only two things I may at times be considered knowledgeable in), and I'm particularly passionate about my hometown Syracuse Orange. The majority of my other rooting interests are derived from my years following the Orange as well. I follow the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL, the Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA and despite their having no connection to Syracuse that I'm aware of, I also love the Boston Red Sox.
