Rabid Dawg fan know to speak his mind while BUI. I focus mainly on the Georgia Bulldogs and the Southeastern Conference. I am anti BCS and pro playoff. Is there really any other way than a playoff to determine championships? Outside of my support for a playoff, I am pretty much a college football traditionalist.

I'm a recently-graduated alumnus of Indiana University, with a degree in journalism and a double major in political science.
Sports reporting is what I had planned to do with said degree -- the economy had other ideas. So for the time being, I'm just counting down the days until the government starts adding me to the 8 1/2 percent and working as hard as I can to change that.
I spent last summer interning for MLB.com covering the Washington Nationals in D.C., and I covered the IU men's basketball team for the Indiana Daily Student during the 2008-2009 season. During my time on the sports desk there, I also covered IU women's basketball and baseball, and ran the desk as an editor twice. I was editor-in-chief for one summer too, since you can never have too many ulcers.

I'm Alex, I'm from London, and I have a job as a journalist. About insurance. If there's anything that can drive the person truly mad, it's years of writing about insurance. Trust me. I know.
But my biggest love is sports. In the UK I love my soccer teams, but I have my big American passions: baseball and football. Sure, I can deal with the odd NBA game and March Madness, as well as a bit of the NFL, but give me Ken Griffey's swing and a Penn State White Out any day of the week.
So here I am. I have a blog - The View From North America - http://viewfromnorthamerica.blogspot.com that I hope you'll look at at some point.
Oh, and I also have a column on the UK's biggest commercial website, Sky Sports. Here's the link: http://www.skysports.com/opinion/0,25219,16560,00.html

I'm 5' 11" and 155 pounds on a good day. I love football, basketball, baseball, slow-pitch softball, and even a bit of hockey here and there. I'm not a big fan of the Pac 10 in any sport, as a general rule I ignore the Chiefs and Royals, and have decided to declare the Thunder as my home-town basketball team. I love God, my family, my girlfriend, KU (especially football), chicken, dark chocolate, and Demetri Martin. Someday I hope to make a living doing what I do on this site, but wouldn't mind retiring early and just watching football either.

Hello everybody, I'm Trey Jones - a balding, 40-ish, sports fan who can die happy now that the Gators have a a few national championships to brag about.
Yep, I'm a Gator fan (have been for decades) but didn't attend UF because my Father insisted that I go to school out of state... SOOOO... instead of me going to Gatorland for next to nothing he paid big bucks for me to go to SMU in the early 80's... Yes, I actually saw DickerJames in action! However, rumors of "other" issues leading to the NCAA instigating the Death Penalty soured me on my alma mater... Sad story.
Oh, most every male in my family (except me) went to UF... the women in my family attended.... FSU... one was even a cheerleader. Thanksgiving is a mess at our house... One thing we have in common - Miami...

A sportswriter is neither a homer nor a fan. Instead, a sportswriter is a fan of the game, a fan of the sport he or she is covering. Though we might have favorite teams that we root for, when it comes to reporting, we call them as we see them.
We heap praise or lay blame whenever or wherever we feel it is justified. Even our favorite team’s most hated adversary can receive our profound admiration. And our team’s most beloved player or coach can be the subject of our admonition.
I am a sportswriter. It’s as plain and simple as that. I have no problem calling out the players and coaches that I admire when I feel their actions warrant it. But the game itself remains beyond reproach.
In addition to sportswriting, I have been a screenwriter, a media writer and an educator. A...

I am a lifelong sports fan. Football is my passion. I am originally from Michigan but have lived in Hawaii for 10 years. My teams are all the Detroit teams, especially the Red Wings. I have a unique rooting interest in college football. I love Notre Dame, but I root for Michigan whenever they are not playing Notre Dame. The reason is that I am from Michigan but my Irish Catholic roots outrank where I am from. I love seeing Michigan and Notre Dame players succeed in the NFL. My two favorite Quarterbacks are both named Brady. While Tom Brady is well on his way to a hall of fame career, Brady Quinn needs to find a way to get out of Loserville, I mean Cleveland. The Browns have done nothing but screw him since they drafted him and he needs to be on a team that appreciates his talents.

So far I like BleacherReport a lot, although the canned pictured of Players tend to be a few years out of date. It's a little weird to write a College Football story and put up a picture of a guy who graduated two years ago.

College football is a great way to pass time and I love the drama. With that in mind, I try to keep it all in perspective. I love to listen to Rivals Radio (Bill King), only read the paper for sports and absolutely love the Crimson Tide.
Times have been tough since Stallings let go of the reins but Nick Saban is the perfect fit for Alabama and kudos to Mal for a good choice.
Love the Atlanta Braves, NE Patriots, Baltimore Ravens D, Peyton Manning fan (Eli too) and all SEC competitions. I will even watch a swim meet or tennis match if it is SEC. My wife loves...

I am a fourth year student at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication as a Broadcast Journalism major. I have been involved in sports for my entire life.
As a child, listening and learning from my father, and then playing as soon as I could walk and run - Little League, AYSO, and Club Soccer throughout California. As I grew, I added football and basketball to the mix, until entering high school where I dedicated all my efforts and focused on football.
I was an undersized blocking and goal line tight end who also doubled as a defensive linemen and linebacker, standing at a meager 6'2', 231 pounds - a throwback to the old days of football. My dad would have been proud to see that.
Since then, I have spent a lot of time around college football. As a memb...

In 1995, I was given an opportunity to be a volunteer recruiting assistant for Ohio State University. I had the opportunity to scout high school talent throughout the state of Ohio for then-Ohio State recruiting coordinator Bill Conley, and Coach Conley was gracious enough to serve as a reference for me when an internship within the scouting department of the Washington Redskins became available in 1996.
I have since left the world of professional scouting behind, but I learned a great deal about college and professional scouting, and I am hoping to share my thoughts and opinions here as an Ohio State Community Leader for The Bleacher Report.

I have been writing sports since 2000, covering the NFL and the Pittsburgh Steelers for the now-defunct Football Network, and for Lindy's online. In recent years, I have blogged about West Virginia football, following the Mountaineers during their 2006 and 2007 seasons, both of which ended with January bowl victories. I really cannot take credit for those wins, but it sure was fun being a part of it.
I have also written two novels, with a 1970s pine-riding college football wideout protagonist in the earlier one, and with the same guy as a loser stockbroker during the go-go years of the '80s in the other.

Growing up in a suburb of San Francisco during the ‘80s, it wasn’t hard falling head over heals for the local sports teams. The Bay Area squads were at their pinnacle and it seemed like the products they were putting on the field were immaculate. And at times they were.
Having parents that were not die-hard sports fans didn’t really help my progress in learning the ins and outs of sports, but it didn’t hurt that my next-door neighbor was Fred Quillan, the center for the San Francisco 49ers at the time. Seeing him leave for games and practices was surreal, almost like watching a warrior right before he heads off to battle. It made me want to learn everything sports related. And the sport really didn’t matter, Football, Baseball, Tennis, whatever.
I have followed the 49ers an...

I'm a huge sports fan and respect (almost) everybody in the sports industry, from athletes to writers to management. If I could make my living in the industry, that would be a dream come true for me.
I love the Cardinals, Rams, and obviously all Mizzou sports. I follow the Blues, but not passionately, and root for the Celtics and Grizzlies in the NBA.
