Being from North Jersey, I have been a Yankees fan since the day I was brought into this world. On the other hand—I am not a Giants fan. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And most importantly.. I am an over-obsessive, subway alumni of the University of Notre Dame.

I am a lifelong sports fan. Football is my passion. I am originally from Michigan but have lived in Hawaii for 10 years. My teams are all the Detroit teams, especially the Red Wings. I have a unique rooting interest in college football. I love Notre Dame, but I root for Michigan whenever they are not playing Notre Dame. The reason is that I am from Michigan but my Irish Catholic roots outrank where I am from. I love seeing Michigan and Notre Dame players succeed in the NFL. My two favorite Quarterbacks are both named Brady. While Tom Brady is well on his way to a hall of fame career, Brady Quinn needs to find a way to get out of Loserville, I mean Cleveland. The Browns have done nothing but screw him since they drafted him and he needs to be on a team that appreciates his talents.

I'm a long suffering Clevelander, now living in exile in the Washington, DC area. I grew up with a family obsessed with Notre Dame football, and have made it to at least one Irish game almost every year since I was 6 (25 years if you are counting... I'm not!). My uncle was the president of the Ohio Alumni association which, in addittion to getting me reamed out by Regis Philbin in Columbus for the 1995 ND/OSU games has offered me many insights and experienced usually reserved for students of the University.
I stupidly turned that oppertunity down (what was I thinking) and instead went on to Pittsburgh to earn a degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics (braces and artificial limbs), a field in which I work to fund my music and writing hobbies!
I never alligned myself much with the Panthers...

I live and breath Notre Dame football and nothing in the sports world comes close to it in my mind. I played hockey for years and I love the NHL. I find the NFL boring at times but it is too big to ignore. I like baseball more than the average guy but basketball less so. I think it would be amazing to be a professional golfer and travel the world writing about everything I see. Outside of sports I am heavy into music and have a healthy obsession with the Beatles. I look forward to sharing my opinion with everyone.

I admit I used to play the game where I was focused on moving up the ladder at B/R, trying my best to be the top writer and all that. But now I no longer pimp my articles, or look for websites to artificially increase readership, and I'm satisified writing what I want and not some nonsence just to attract reads.

I also like to cover more than just college football. This includes baseball, college basketball, hockey, auto racing (NASCAR and sometimes IRL), and the NFL.

College football is the dominant sport in my life, though. I watch every game that I possibly can. I have season tickets for the Vanderbilt Commodores since the stadium is just an hour from where I live. I love everything Tennessee. I root for just about every Tennessee team there is.

Hope you've learned a little more about me.

I just recently received my Masters degree form Cal State Northridge and am considering the pursuit of my PHD in social studies/history. Along the way, I have developed a passion for USC football, which I have followed for more than twenty years. In a somewhat less myopic state of mind, I also follow all things college football and most sports in general. My other passion is politics and I am very involved in following the day to day workings of the Washington DC movers and shakers. Now single after my ex-fiance got smart, I have decided that my next relationship will be with a woman who matches my interests or can share me with the things I love. In the meantime, I will get along following the things that make me happy.

But my biggest love is sports. In the UK I love my soccer teams, but I have my big American passions: baseball and football. Sure, I can deal with the odd NBA game and March Madness, as well as a bit of the NFL, but give me Ken Griffey's swing and a Penn State White Out any day of the week.
So here I am. I have a blog - The View From North America - http://viewfromnorthamerica.blogspot.com that I hope you'll look at at some point.

- I prefer GoodFellas over The Godfather
- Curling is not a sport
- Tony Romo will never get to the Super Bowl, let alone win it
