Casey Mears Top Writers

Writer bio
Born in NYC, I grew up with a love for the Yankees. After leaving NY at a young age and moving to a city without sports (Las Vegas), I had to find my own sports loves. As I grew, I found NASCAR and the Detroit Red Wings. However, I'm a fan of sporting events in general. A night at the local bar with wings and games on the big screen TVs make me a happy camper. With a degree in Journalism, getting to write about the sports I love makes me even happier!
I'm enjoying the Bleacher Report community and will spend the next 3 months in their Sports Editing Internship to build my journalism skill set.

5 - Sal Sigala Jr.
Writer bio
A simple Nascar fan from Cali trying to bring a different writing style, as well as a different perspective to our sport! I am a 25+ year fan, and have written over 750 blogs on NASCAR alone, which most of them can be found at NASCAR.com under the screen name frevr3fan. I love Saturday nights at Irwindale Speedway, which I call my second home. I’ve met alot of drivers there, Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne, David Gilliland, JJ Yeley, Jason Leffler, Ron Hornaday, Joey Logano just to name a few. I can be very opinionated at times, because of the high energy level that NASCAR brings out in its fans. I always try to write for the sport, without being biased towards any driver or team. Every driver deserves an equal chance, and what gives us fans the right to deny them that opportunity. I also lov...

I'm just your average NASCAR lovin' outspoken Southern Girl! A misplaced Texan living on the outskirts of Washington DC. I'm a Paramedic who moonlights as a Sportswriter and along with Kelly Crandall, co-lead the NASCAR Community here at Bleacher Report.
I'm a daredevil with a sharp, quick wit. A tomboy at heart. Opinionated, yet open minded. Strong-willed, but know when not to take things too seriously. I'm a Super Hero who is light-hearted enough to laugh at myself.
I was raised by proud Southern parents who instilled generations of family values and traditions that have shaped me into a unique combination of elegance, brawn and brains. I've got a big, kind heart, but please don't mistake my kindness for weakness, I am one tough chick wrapped in the body of a true Southern Be...

"Ability May Get You To The Top, But It Takes Character To Keep You There."
Kelly's has a love of NASCAR that borders on obsession. Since July of 2001 she has been hooked on this fast paced sport and it only took 160 laps at the Daytona International Speedway and a Dale Earnhardt Jr. victory to seal her fate.
Since then she has made NASCAR a major part of her life and plans for that to continue as she earns her Bachelors Degree in Corporate Communications in hopes of becoming a journalist for the sport she loves so very much.
You can normally find her in front of the TV whenever there are cars on the track: practice, qualifying and racing. And if it's July you'll find her at the Daytona International Speedway, her home away from home, for the July Coke Zero 400, a tra...

I want a job in this business. I think I write pretty damn well, I'm knowledgeable, and other than basketball, I've pretty much got the big four (and NASCAR) covered. Are you listening, ESPN?
I get very frustrated when technology doesn't work properly, or the way it's designed to work. I apologize if it causes me to blow my top.
I believe that journalism can be an art form.
I'm generally not online much on the weekends - it's good to take a break from the computer screen and refocus on those who are close to you, and my studies in college. If you have anything urgent to get to me, my Gmail account (which can be accessed from my phone) is ...

Damn, back-to-back undefeated seasons by the Boise State Broncos and they still get no love.
"I hate to lose more than I love to win." - JImmy Connors
I'm a avid auto racing fan, but only like the NCWTS in NASCAR, it's my favorite series these days and the series reminds me of old school NASCAR. I'm talking NASCAR 20+ years ago, like the mix of the young talent, with the wily veterans, the small teams and they put on the best show of the three top series.
I'm the community leader of the NCWTS page, write anything and everything about the truck series. Some of my articles have made zimbio.com, catchfence.com, jayski.com, ASK.com on various driver pages in all three series, dalyplanet.com, my tribute to the late Ron Hornaday Sr is posted on ronhornaday.com in his In ...
