Producer, Branded Content

About the role:

Since being acquired by Turner in 2012, B/R has gained all the advantages of a large media company while maintaining its vibrant start-up culture. We work in a fast paced, 24-7 field in a laid back environment (those who do not want to work nights and weekends need not apply). You'll also be in a role that allows you to work with multiple groups and networks.

The Branded Content team creates relevant and exciting stories for the Bleacher/Report audience, in partnership with brands. The Branded Content team will be tasked with bringing the industry-leading voice and distribution strategy to brand partners. The Branded Content studio will work with brands to concept video, text, interactive and live events platforms and then execute the ideas with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and guide remote shoots in the field as well as efficiently manage writers, editors, and crew
  • Work with Supervising Producer on story planning, pitch process, feature segments, budgets, and scheduling
  • Responsible for driving and elevating Bleacher Report’s branded content production
  • Responsible for identifying new production and storytelling trends
  • Find new processes to increase efficiency and improve overall video quality
  • Create and Track Budgets and Schedule across multiple campaigns pre-sale and post-sale

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of video production
  • Candidate lives sports-culture lifestyle
  • Expert in directing/filmmaking
  • Experience working with A-List Talent (existing talent relationships a plus)
  • Experience in production management and post-production supervision
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic skills
  • Must be adept at supporting creative teams to ensure strategic integrity from start of project to finish
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

About the Role:

The Shows team is looking for an experienced NYC-based Producer to create shows at the intersection of sports and culture featuring Bleacher Report talent as well as external guests. We work in a fast-paced, 24-7 field in a laid-back environment. You'll be in a role that allows you to work with multiple groups and departments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Pitch, plan, produce, and post-produce multiple digital videos each week
  • Research ideas and find supporting information efficiently
  • Know how to organize and manage a team
  • Collaborate with talent on show topics and segments
  • Show creativity and be a thought and idea leader
  • Display a knowledge across multiple sports and areas
  • Show an eagerness to learn, a hunger to work hard, and an ability to get things done
  • Plan and develop a schedule in conjunction with content, programming, and analytic teams
  • Work with production leadership to schedule editing and post-production needs

Realtime Highlight Editor

About the Role:

Bleacher Report is looking to hire a temporary Realtime Highlights Editor to assist with a high volume of College Football, UEFA and NBA highlights, editing quick real time highlights and creative longer form for social. This position will run from August 1, 2018 until June 20, 2019. We work in a fast-paced, 24-7 field in a laid-back environment. You’ll also be in a role that allows you to work with multiple groups and networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill real time highlight requests from our Social and App teams quickly and efficiently by utilizing a video clipping service, WSC, as well as editing from raw game melt footage for UEFA, College Football and NBA
  • Edit high quality style hype tapes, reels and video for all social platforms and YouTube
  • Edit different versions of source video with each version being optimized for the social platform destination
  • Distribute clips to appropriate publishing channels and into a CMS to be featured on the Bleacher Report website
  • Ability to work nights and weekends a must

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 2-3 years experience editing in a professional environment
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines without direct supervision
  • Great communication skills and attention to detail
  • Familiar with all social platforms

Senior Video Editor

About the Role:

As part of our Edit team, you will work on a variety of projects from Social Media to News to mini Docs. Bleacher Report Video is on the cutting edge of the sports and entertainment industries so we’ll be asking you to push your creative boundaries. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to edit according to storyboards, tight scripts, and brand guidelines or with basic concepts and little direction

  • Edit a wide range of videos such as branded content, daily social videos, mini-features, music videos, multi-cam shoots, sales sizzles

  • Edit different versions of a source video with each version being optimized for the social platform destination

  • Ability to work in high pressure, fast-paced production environment with quick turnarounds

  • Ability to adapt to changes in production plan/schedules

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when needed

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • 5+ years editing in a professional environment

  • Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro, proficient in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects

  • Proficient  in color correction, audio mixing and mixdowns

  • Great communication skills - be able to give and receive critical feedback in a team environment

  • Knowledge of the Four Major Sports
