About the Role:

The Design Director, Product owns the look and feel across all products at B/R; including apps, web and internal tools. You will lead a talented team of Product Designers in our San Francisco office, working closely with stakeholders across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and grow a team of UX and Visual Designers.
  • Own the overall experience of app and web products
  • Identify, create and develop new products and features
  • Create social experiences connecting users and promoting engagement
  • Provide a user-centric design philosophy for creating simple, useful products
  • Implement a cohesive visual language across all products
  • Evolve internal tools to improve workflows and efficiency

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong design portfolio of digital product work
  • 10+ years experience (past leadership experience preferred)

The Design Lead is a visual leader and passionate storyteller who creates highly immersive digital experiences. You thrive at the intersection of design and technology leading design on our biggest, most ambitious interactive stories.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead design from concept to launch on our biggest, most ambitious interactive stories

  • Shape story narratives to deliver beautifully designed work that is both informative and on-brand

  • Ability to commission and art direct illustrations, animations, photoshoots

eCommerce Design Lead

About the Role:

Bleacher Report has been a trusted source of sports information, entertainment, and culture for many years now. Our diverse content teams create experiences that reflect and celebrate the sports fan’s experience. Through E-Commerce, we are looking to recreate a similar spirit and energy – in the same way that B/R uses its innovative content and authentic distribution to “win” moments in sports, we plan to win and celebrate key moments in sports through merchandise. We are looking for an experienced E-Commerce professional to pave the way into this new extension of the brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Help define and develop the look and feel of our ecommerce and merchandising initiatives. This includes the look & feel of everything including branding (logo + packaging), products, photography, store and promotional assets and outlets (micro-sites, social media assets, marketing assets within our O&O properties, email marketing etc)

  • Conceptualize, design and oversee design direction for products, seasonal collections, capsule collections and collaborations with designers and influencers.

  • Execute various types of textile/graphic design on various fabrications and materials.

  • Knowledge of current trends in fashion and ability to adapt to trends accordingly

  • Point-person & liaison for all 3rd party and agency partnerships for creative direction and needs. I.e. hiring of contractors for product design, oversee and manage photoshoots/video-shoots with due diligence and sourcing of 3rd party consultants.

  • Create internal workflow and development efficiencies for scaled growth and cross-functional optimization for the creative division of the marketing department

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or design-related equivalent.

  • Sound understanding of User Experience and best-in-class interfaces that effectively serve the needs of the target audience of each brand

  • 6+ years experience in apparel, graphic and digital design for reputable fashion brands or key digital agency experience specific to the streetwear, footwear/apparel industry.

  • Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills

  • Excellent UI design and prototyping skill set using rapid prototyping tools e. G. Sketch, InVision or Adobe XD

Bonus Points:

  • Experience building E-Commerce or Fashion initiatives within larger/existing organizations.

Community Moderator (Temporary)

Bleacher Report is searching for a temporary employee to moderate comments and social within the Bleacher Report app and its social pages. Bleacher Report’s users are passionate sports fans who are looking to engage in fun and deep debates in all things sports and popular culture. B/R is looking for an experienced moderation expert to ensure a fun, engaging, and inclusive space for its users to engage with one another.

Responsibilities:

  • Sweep comments within the app and social media channels each day to check for potential violations of terms of conduct.

  • Maintain/update list of blacklisted terms.

  • Maintain/update list of banned users.

  • Identify/escalate potential bugs/recurring issues by working with Product Liaisons and setting expectations for users experiencing issues.

  • Identify big wins across Bleacher Report’s platforms and present them to Product team.
