As the passion became a career quest, I realized I lost some innocence and spark to my writing. With that being decided upon, my mission has reverted back. I no longer write as a career goal, simply for the love of writing and the love of the sport. Simply a husband, a Dad and a passionate Sox fan who loves to write. I like it better like this.

At the end of the game, the kings and the pawns go in the same box. However, if I have the choice, I'd prefer to be a king.

I hope you enjoy my four picks of the day stories:

I am a 25-year-old aspiring baseball writer. I grew up to stories of Willie Mays, the Miracle Mets and the Bronx Zoo from my father. Although my playing days never amounted to much, baseball has always remained my passion. I moved to Boston from the midwest and have come to both enjoy and loathe the hype and hysteria of living in the heart of Red Sox Nation. The Twins are my team, a result of being born and raised in Iowa and attending college in Minnesota. Although I'd consider myself a baseball fan first and foremost and a Twins fan second. If you're ever in the mood to talk baseball, or any sport for that matter, you can drop me a line or leave a comment on my blog.

Hi, I'm Joe. I'm 26 years old and currently looking for a job related to the field of sports. For now I guess I'll settle for writing for Bleacher Report and my continued fandom of my various teams.

I'm a die-hard fan of Northwestern sports and the Chicago White Sox. I'm a member of N.U.T.S (Northwestern University Tailgating Society) and a White Sox season ticket holder. I seem to have a habit of missing the biggest moments for those teams as I have attended four Northwestern bowl games, excluding the Rose Bowl, and we became season ticket holders a little too late to get playoff tickets for the 2005 White Sox.

I'm also an avid follower of college basketball, as far as I'm concerned March Madness is the greatest event ever created. I also follow the Bulls, though their post-Jorda...

I'm a creative writing major at SUNY Oswego, and as journalism is no longer my thing, my writing may at times stray from typical journalistic style and end up closer to a creative essay.

My name is Adam Flinn. I am 18 years old and I am from Oxfordshire - the heart of British Motorsport. I am studying a journalism course at Southampton Solent University, so this website has been giving me some good practice recently.

I have been following the world of Formula 1 since about 1998-ish. Being only 7 at the time, I supported Michael Schumacher because he won a lot. However, I have stuck with Ferrari for the past eleven years, and support Felipe Massa.

I watch football occasionally as well, and support Northwich Victoria (no, not Norwich), and despite being relegated into conference north, are no longer the most useless team in the country. The vics will be back!

I also occasionally play golf, snooker, darts, anything that requires very little effort.

Red Sox fan since May, 1967, when I attended my first game against the Minnesota Twins. Camped out at Fenway Park on seventeen occasions for tickets... the longest such adventure was in October, 1986, when I camped parkside for 5 1/2 days for World Series tickets (got tickets to all three games!). I started blogging about my beloved Red Sox in 2002... started my website (www.sox1fan.com) in the summer of 2004. Just recently, sox1fan.com enjoyed it's 10 millionth hit. I was invited to be one of the 'regular guys' in the Boston edition of last year's "Baseball As America" exhibit.

I'm a native Washingtonian, who is a diehard Redskin, Red Sox, and Capitals fan. Why Red Sox you ask? Well because for the first 24 years of my life DC had no baseball team and I had to look else where. So as kids do I decided to cheer for my dad's favorite team (the only one we share actually) the Sox.

I've enjoyed the many highs and lows of being a Blue Jays fan for 15+ years. To this day, I still reminisce about that chilly night in October when Joe Carter made my childhood dreams come true.

When I'm not catching the game on TV or the radio, I'm blogging about it at http://www.bluejayhunter.com .

I'm a massive F1 fan. I have been a McLaren fan for over 10 years, but also have a liking for Williams, and the other independent teams.

I also love tennis, with two of my favourite players still playing being Roger Federer and Kim Clijsters.

Arsenal are my soccer team, London Wasps my rugby union team, while Middlesex, and Durham are my English county cricket teams.
