Writer bio
Salaar Shamsi is a passionate sportswriter (who happens to be the World Football Community's Leader alongside Andrew McNair), while most of his contributions are aimed towards Football or Soccer, he often chooses to branch out with articles related to Cricket, Golf, Tennis and the NBA as well.
Salaar Shamsi was born in Pakistan but has traveled and lived in the United States, England, Singapore and Turkey.
Salaar traces memories of great clashes between Manchester United and Arsenal and often enjoys catching up with the best in the business.

Writer bio
Football has always been a huge part of my life and writing here on Bleacher Report is a huge pleasure. As the community leader of the World Football section for the last 10 months or so, I've seen it grow from the English Premier League section into the global debate it is today.
I'm proud of the role I played in that transition and will continue to support our good friend Salaar as he aims to take us further.
I've recently returned to Scotland from South Africa after 10 years in the football mad continent. I've been around professional football at many levels in South Africa but now persue a career writing about the beautiful game.
I also spent plenty of time at St Georges Park, Port Elizabeth working with some of the best cricketers in the world.
I'm presently continuing ...

Lisa Horne is a football addict who actually understands the nuances of the x's and o's of football. She is currently going into her second year as a contracted college football sportswriter for FOXSports.com.
She has been published and quoted on many websites, including MSN.com, SI.com, Deadspin.com, BCSfootball.org, MSNBC.com, ESPN.com, and Steroid Nation. She has done live college football commentary for FOXSports.com and also has a blog, "Straight Talk From the Left Coast."
Lisa was just ten years old when she told her daddy that she would be the first woman to cover the Super Bowl, and she ended up fulfilling her ultimate wish by doing live commentary of Super Bowl XLII on February 3rd, 2008 for MSN.com and FOXSports.com.
By the way, it's true. Chicks dig the l...

I'm very simple: I love to write, and I love hockey more than anything in the world. My world and my life revolves around hockey. My work revolves around what time the game is on TV, and my chores revolve around the same thing. Hockey is a priority. That's it. I'm also a theater geek, which somehow manages to mix with hockey..but hockey is still a priority.
I am currently attending Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. I will be majoring in psychology and minoring in business. This is to answer all questions about whether or not I want to go into journalism. No I don't, but that doesn't mean I won't take some journalism classes in college.
My dream is to go into hockey management, and one can easily see why through all of my hockey articles.
I like to think of myself as ...

5 - Sean Crowe
Writer bio
Sean Crowe got his start writing for the now defunct dailysportsreport.com (although we’ve recently been informed that DSR is back…but we assure you, Crowe has absolutely nothing to do with the new site).
His influences include ESPN's Bill Simmons (from his Digital City Boston days) and the Boston Globe's Dan Shaughnessy before he went catatonic and was replaced by a random negative article regurgitating robot. He hates everyone who writes for the Boston Herald except for Steve Bulpett & Rob Bradford. Mike Reiss is his favorite sports writer at the moment, but he’s looking into becoming the president of the Amalie Benjamin fan club—for whatever that’s worth.
Crowe is married with 2 beautiful daughters. His wife is obviously a saint for putting up with him for over five yea...

Writer bio
Hey guys—I'm Zander, Bleacher Report's Community Director.
I started the site back in 2005 along with three of my best friends from high school: Dave Finocchio, Bryan Goldberg, and Dave Nemetz. From the get go, our mission has been to legitimize the "fan-expert," offering aspiring sports writers, bloggers, and die-hard debaters a place to publish their commentary in a highly professional and collaborative manner.
The four of us have always been sports freaks; we spent many of our Friday nights discussing and debating a wide range of sports topics, and by the time we graduated high school I'm pretty sure we knew just as much about the games we watched as the media personalities who were paid to cover them.
We were positive there were more fans out there like us; milli...

To the left is a picture of me as I hiked back up the Grand Canyon after hiking down to Phantom Ranch that same morning. Me and my dad hiked down the Bright Angel Trail, and up the Kaibab Trail.
Currently in high school, I run cross-country and track (one-mile and two-mile). I have a deep love for all Minnesota sports, but I have a deeper love for my Creator, Jesus Christ. I hope to bring you entertaining and relevant articles while I rant on whichever Minnesota sport happens to be struggling.
I recently came closer to Mexico when I moved to Tucson, Arizona, but moved farther away from my Minnesota sports.
No, I don't limit my interests to Minnesota sports. I love all sports, but I tend to gravitate towards the NFL. I will try to find peace with Arizona fans and maybe pick up a...

From: St. Louis, Missouri
If there was ever a man who lived to shake up the foundation on "perfection," it is the enigma known as Ron Johnson. For the past two years, Johnson has been rocking the nation with countless submissions that challenge not only the conscience, but also the sports mind. From his censor filled "My Two Cents" to his comical "Dem Apples," Johnson is living proof that no name wannabes can even have their name etched in history.

Hey all, I'm Thomas. I'm an 18-year old freshman in college from Baltimore. I'm a decent guy that enjoys meeting new people.
Being from Baltimore, I love everything Baltimore. That includes the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, Michael Phelps, and Crystal Palace USA in Baltimore.
My first love is soccer. Manchester United and DC United are my two favorite clubs. I also follow Hannover 96, AC Milan, AS Monaco, and Real Madrid.
Teams and clubs I hate include the Pittsburgh Steelers, Liverpool FC, Chicago Cubs, and the San Francisco Giants.
Joe Guarr and myself are community leaders for MLS here on the Bleacher Report. We're looking to make Major League Soccer a much-talked about league here and if you anything MLS-related to tell us, tell us.
I like writing about soccer ...

I am a lifelong Chicagoan who roots for all of the Chicago sports teams, especially the Cubs. I could die a happy man if the Cubs could just once win the damn World Series.
I have a passion for writing, but I must warn you: I am not shy when it comes to expressing my opinions. And I don't bathe frequently. But the good thing is I'm always willing to hear another side of the story, so feel free to challenge me if you do not agree with something I've written. I'm usually right, except when I am wrong.
I am married with three kids, one of each. If you want to know more about me, first consult a therapist. But if you still insist, Sam Wenk was kind enough to do a brief profile on me for BR:

The summit gives one a different perspective; a different viewpoint, a distinct outlook that is lacking when one looks from the ground. Welcome to my Red Sox column, titled Fire Brand of the American League, Evan Brunell's analytical (and sometimes not so analytical) look at the Boston Red Sox.
Are you wondering what "The Fire Brand of the American League" means? In a nutshell, its origination is from a newspaper article published in March of 1919 in "Baseball Magazine," with the subject being the new owner of the Boston Red Sox, Harry Frazee. The article gives a glowing review of Harry Frazee, and is quite interesting. He sounds remarkably like John Henry. If you're wondering how you can read this article, you can buy the book - "Impossible Dreams," which was compiled by Glenn Stout. It also has other collections of newspaper articles from all of Red Sox history, including one of the sa...

If you and I watched the same game, I like to write about what you did not see during the game that I was able to perceive. That is indeed the sign of interesting journalism.

I played hockey since I was 5 years old both as a player and a goalie. First as a goalie for my first 5 or 6 years, then as a player for 4 years to finally go back to good old goaltending since.
Goaltending is my forte as I am currently (secretly) training for next season.
I am not talking about NHL here right off the bat, just relax hehehe...
But am sure will be looking for a pro training camp come next june/july/august. I am browsing different european leagues and north american leagues right now.
A coaching position is of course kept for later, once my physical abilities as a player will be obsolete. I am 34 years old and if Hasek can do it at 42-43ish I damn sure can for as long as h...
