2 - Nick Tylwalk
Writer bio
Central Pennsylvania-raised and Duke-educated, Nick never pursued a career in sports journalism but somehow found himself writing about sports in some capacity for most of his adult life. He's been a contributor to Canada's SLAM! Wrestling for almost a decade and just finished up a stint of over two years writing and editing the Sports Cards subsite at About.com.
When it comes to sports he'd write about for free though, the sweet science tops the list. Nick started the boxing blog BoxingWatchers.com with two of his brothers in November 2007, and he looks forward to sharing some content from that site as well as some independent thoughts on the sport with the Bleacher Report community.

Writer bio
Originally from Seattle, but living in the ACC-hoops crazy South, I still root for the M's, Seahawks, Cougs, and Super Sonics (past tense), when not trying to score a ticket to Duke-Carolina, Wake-Maryland, or flying across country for an NCAA tournament. Spent some time in the ring, I have a fondness for the sweet science and a good MMA fight.
My writing influences: Steve Kelly (Seattle Times), Bill Simmons (from my time in Providence, RI), FX Toole, Davis Miller, George Plimpton, George Vecsey, and Peter Bacho.
Likes: the rare supremely gifted athlete that actually plays hard.
Dislikes: the punk athlete.

SPORTS FANATIC! NFL, NCAA FOOTBALL, BOXING, BASEBALL, NCAA HOOPS!
Born and raised in Las Vegas... I grew up loving and playing football and baseball. As a kid I was always in front of the TV on a Sunday morning, watching the San Francisco 49ers and falling more and more in love with them. Anytime I ever get asked "who was your first love in life?" My answer... the 49ers! I always argued and talked sports with friends and family growing up and current day. So... one day when I was in high school, when I realized I probably wont make it pro in baseball haha... I decided since I love to talk sports so much why not do it for a living!? I graduated from UNLV (GO REBELS!) in 2007 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism to hopefully one day be an analyst for either the NFL or boxi...

Greetings sports lovers!!!
It was one of my favorite writers, Malcolm Gladwell, who had a saying that I carry with me in my wallet. You can call it my own personal credo:
"Good writing does not succeed or fail on the strength of its ability to persuade. It succeeds or fails on the strength of its ability to engage you, to make you think, and to give you a glimpse into someone else's head."
My journey as a writer begins here and it begins now. Thanks for reading!!!

I will say i supported it from the start. Between 2020-2030 i plan on commentating or scoring boxing when it will be shown on nbc, abc, or cbs. My fingers are crossed.
