I'm Alex, I'm from London, and I have a job as a journalist. About insurance. If there's anything that can drive the person truly mad, it's years of writing about insurance. Trust me. I know.
But my biggest love is sports. In the UK I love my soccer teams, but I have my big American passions: baseball and football. Sure, I can deal with the odd NBA game and March Madness, as well as a bit of the NFL, but give me Ken Griffey's swing and a Penn State White Out any day of the week.
So here I am. I have a blog - The View From North America - http://viewfromnorthamerica.blogspot.com that I hope you'll look at at some point.
Oh, and I also have a column on the UK's biggest commercial website, Sky Sports. Here's the link: http://www.skysports.com/opinion/0,25219,16560,00.html

I was born and raised in upstate New York, where my first taste of big-time college football came from closely following the great Syracuse Orangemen teams of the late 1980s and early 90s. However, my passion for college football was solidified upon enrolling at the University of Iowa for graduate school in the mid-1990s. Now a Hawkeye for life, I authored the book, “The 50 Greatest Plays in Iowa Hawkeyes Football History” published by Triumph Books in 2008. I have continued to promote this book over Iowa radio and television during the last year.
I continue to keep close track of the great sport of college football from the media capital of the Big Ten Conference…Chicago, IL, where I currently live with my wife, Mary Clare and two daughters, Rory and Cayleigh.

I love college sports. Need I say more?
Ok well I will. I am a Oregon Duck fan first and foremost. I am not a conference cheerleader but I will defend the Pac 10 when people down talk it without reason. I love college football. I read a handful of preseason magazines every summer. I have 5 tv's in my living room through football season so that I don't miss very much. I like to travel around to the differnent college stadiums as well, no matter who is playing. I have been to 9 college stadiums in the last 5 years.
I also like college basketball, but not to the extent of football. I do my best to follow lacrosse, track, baseball, softball, cross country, gymnastics and as many other college sports as I can.

I'm a 26-year-old graduate from Xavier University, currently laboring away in retail by day while I fight the good fight, trying to land that writing gig by night. I've always been involved in sports, (baseball and basketball in my early years, hockey and soccer later on), and I always yearned for that extra ear to bend in friendly debate. That urge only strengthened when I discovered Sportscenter. I had more information than I knew what to do with, about some sports I didn't even know existed at my fingertips, and I wanted nothing more than to show others that I knew as much, if not more than those getting paid to do what I enjoyed doing for free.
Hockey is my passion, and I still play and thoroughly enjoy the sport that most of this nation treats like a quaint distant relative. I...

I'm a lifelong Minnesotan, so I've seen my share of promising teams fail to reach the championship. The Vikings in 1998 and 1987, as well as the Golden Gopher Basketball team in 1997 sting the most. As a Twins fan, 1987 and 1991 were great, but that seems like a long, long time ago. Someday, the sports teams in this town will attain glory. Someday.

Name's Ben, I go to NKU and am majoring in sports broadcasting and history there. I follow sports like crazy, its an unhealthy addiction. I like all sports except for baseball, just don't really care for it. Favorite teams would be.
Football: Cleveland Browns and Brett Farve COLLEGE- Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Nebraska Cornhuskers
Basketball: PRO-Portland Trailblazers, COLLEGE-Arizona Wildcats, NKU Norse
Baseball: Cincinnati Reds -I know!
I also hate the Florida Gators and new England Patriots with a passion. New England I have no respect for, they broke the rules and didn't pay a heavy enough price. Nough said
