I'm Alex, I'm from London, and I have a job as a journalist. About insurance. If there's anything that can drive the person truly mad, it's years of writing about insurance. Trust me. I know.
But my biggest love is sports. In the UK I love my soccer teams, but I have my big American passions: baseball and football. Sure, I can deal with the odd NBA game and March Madness, as well as a bit of the NFL, but give me Ken Griffey's swing and a Penn State White Out any day of the week.
So here I am. I have a blog - The View From North America - http://viewfromnorthamerica.blogspot.com that I hope you'll look at at some point.
Oh, and I also have a column on the UK's biggest commercial website, Sky Sports. Here's the link: http://www.skysports.com/opinion/0,25219,16560,00.html

Thanks ...

I am a Big Ten fan stuck on the border of ACC and SEC territory. To the north, the insufferable UNC basketball fans, who disappear during football season, only to be replaced by those obnoxious Gator and Dawg fans to the South and West. To the East are Clemson and South Carolina fans.
My wife and I are expecting our first child in December, and she will be an avid Wisconsin Badger fanatic.

I was born and raised in upstate New York, where my first taste of big-time college football came from closely following the great Syracuse Orangemen teams of the late 1980s and early 90s. However, my passion for college football was solidified upon enrolling at the University of Iowa for graduate school in the mid-1990s. Now a Hawkeye for life, I authored the book, “The 50 Greatest Plays in Iowa Hawkeyes Football History” published by Triumph Books in 2008. I have continued to promote this book over Iowa radio and television during the last year.

I continue to keep close track of the great sport of college football from the media capital of the Big Ten Conference…Chicago, IL, where I currently live with my wife, Mary Clare and two daughters, Rory and Cayleigh.

I love college sports. Need I say more?

Ok well I will. I am a Oregon Duck fan first and foremost. I am not a conference cheerleader but I will defend the Pac 10 when people down talk it without reason. I love college football. I read a handful of preseason magazines every summer. I have 5 tv's in my living room through football season so that I don't miss very much. I like to travel around to the differnent college stadiums as well, no matter who is playing. I have been to 9 college stadiums in the last 5 years.
I also like college basketball, but not to the extent of football. I do my best to follow lacrosse, track, baseball, softball, cross country, gymnastics and as many other college sports as I can.

If it seems like it has been a while since I have written anythin...

Hey I'm Sam. I'm a junior at UW-Madison, majoring in Journalism and Mass Communication.

I've written for The Badger Yearbook (UW's yearbook), The Badger Herald (UW's student newspaper) and Football.com.

Currently, along with working as an editorial intern for the University of Wisconsin alumni magazine, I'm interning here at the Bleacher Report as the Wisconsin Badgers Football Campus Voice. I'm a huge Badger fan. Football, basketball, hockey, you name it.

I'm also an avid NFL fan, with the Green Bay Packers being my favorite team. Most of my writing will therefore focus on football topics surrounding the Packers, Badgers and the Big Ten, though this will change when the seasons end.

I'm a die- hard Michigan State Spartan fan, first off. I love baseball, and I myself, like many of you on BR, am an aspiring writer! I'm the head sports writer at Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan; home of the Bears, and I will now be covering The Flint Generals Hockey Team as well. Go green, restore the roar in Detroit (Tigers), the Lions never had a "roar"... I'm also a huge Wings fan, and I'm awaiting the day the Pistons become an Eastern Conference powerhouse like they've been all decade long. First and foremost, I am a sophomore News/Internet Journalism Major at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Originally, I called Anamosa, Iowa home; I still do on breaks and the occasional weekend.

I am a sports writer for the Drake University campus newspaper The Times-Delphic.

My time is spent writing as a Featured Columnist for Iowa Hawkeyes Football and Drake Bulldogs Basketball. I also maintain a recruiting/newsworthy notes blog on Hawkeye football.

As far as sports go, call me a junkie of the Iowa Hawkeyes, St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Martin Truex Jr., Kevin Harvick and the rest of Richard Childress Racing. Oh, and of course, the Drake Bulldogs!

I recently began working as an editing intern for Bleacher Report. If I'm lucky enough t...

I'm a creative writing major at SUNY Oswego, and as journalism is no longer my thing, my writing may at times stray from typical journalistic style and end up closer to a creative essay.

I'm the featured columnist for Syracuse football here on Bleacher Report.

Sports and writing are my two passions (as well as the only two things I may at times be considered knowledgeable in), and I'm particularly passionate about my hometown Syracuse Orange. The majority of my other rooting interests are derived from my years following the Orange as well. I follow the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL, the Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA and despite their having no connection to Syracuse that I'm aware of, I also love the Boston Red Sox.

I'm a 26-year-old graduate from Xavier University, currently laboring away in retail by day while I fight the good fight, trying to land that writing gig by night. I've always been involved in sports, (baseball and basketball in my early years, hockey and soccer later on), and I always yearned for that extra ear to bend in friendly debate. That urge only strengthened when I discovered Sportscenter. I had more information than I knew what to do with, about some sports I didn't even know existed at my fingertips, and I wanted nothing more than to show others that I knew as much, if not more than those getting paid to do what I enjoyed doing for free.

Hockey is my passion, and I still play and thoroughly enjoy the sport that most of this nation treats like a quaint distant relative. I...

I'm a lifelong Minnesotan, so I've seen my share of promising teams fail to reach the championship. The Vikings in 1998 and 1987, as well as the Golden Gopher Basketball team in 1997 sting the most. As a Twins fan, 1987 and 1991 were great, but that seems like a long, long time ago. Someday, the sports teams in this town will attain glory. Someday.
