Writer bio
Hello, my name is Hadarii Jones. I have been a sports fan all of my life and have a particular love for roundball. I will write about other sports however, because I feel myself drawn to the emotion and the drama and the spectacle of different sports. I would like to thank Bleacher Report for giving me a platform in which to share my views in a debatable manner. Since I have been a member I have been witness to some amazing writers. I won't call any names, but thank you for the criticism, and for helping me grow as a writer.

I am a young and passionate sports fan with a home town loyalty, but a critical and objective take. I have always been a journalist at heart. Being a source of information is a fascinating and addictive experience, and one that I have always been drawn to. I am dedicated to pursuing this as a full time career so I welcome any feedback, criticism, and advice. I love a good debate, but I can't stand when it resorts to name calling. If that's your only method of rebuttal, please don't bother. Thank you all for your support.

Rough economy? You bet.
I speak fluent Spanish and plan to teach English as a Second Language.
I am also a newspaper reporter and consider this an important distinction when differentiating the parts that comprise "the media." I believe in what newspapers do--even when the content needs improvement--because a lesser-informed public spells the apocalypse.
Pick up your local newspaper and read the front page instead of first flipping to the sports or comics sections.
The Rockets' Clutch City years, the Bagwell/Biggio era and Nolan Ryan's retirement were childhood highlights.

6 - Jose Salviati
Writer bio
Jose Salviati is a twenty year IT professional with a disturbingly intense passion for technology, gadgets and sports. He has seen MJ drop 50 in Chicago, spent time just outside the "Other LA Basketball Teams" locker-room with the wives and girlfriends of players and was at the 1986 game the Angels lost after being one strike away from the Series. He considers himself an "Average Jose" (the Latin version of Average Joe); just a guy with an admiration for watching two teams compete. Originally from Argentina he lives in Southern California with his wife, four kids, two dogs, one guinea pig and a bearded dragon.

My dream job would be GM of the Seattle SuperSonics. Now my dream is dead. So I will have to get Mark Cuban money, buy a team ( I don't care who) and move them back. Then I could be the Jerry Jones of the NBA. If I can't be the Sonics GM, then how about the Seahawks GM?

Stephen Brotherston is another frustrated long time Toronto Maple Leafs hockey fan, who started going to Raptor games in the “Skydome” and became a Raptors season ticket holder.
These posts represent just one Raptors season ticketholder's view as seen from behind the basket. The game is different in person as opposed to on TV or in the boxscore - and a lot more fun to watch!

I'm a recent graduate of Georgetown University starting the long and lonely road down a writing career. Wish me luck.
Things you should know about me:
1) I originally hail from Philadelphia. Yes, that explains why most of my subject matter (so far) has been Philadelphia sports teams... I write what I know, and I write about what's near and dear to me.
2) I spent the past four years in the Georgetown school band... meaning I spent a LOT of time watching Georgetown basketball (and terrible football, for that matter). I also got a free trip to the 2007 Final Four, and that Jeff Green "block" was a charge on Greg Oden (you know which one I'm talking about).
3) In order, my preference of sports: NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL. Throw tennis above hockey. I really don't care about ho...

I'm a 24 year old sports fan who lives New Orleans, LA.
I sit in section 120, row 16, seats 8 and 9 at all the Hornets games. At the end of last year I managed to get on the jumbotron pretty regularly by being a drunken jackass and I expect that trend to continue this year.
Although for a living I flip houses and play poker, my passion is and always has been sports. I'm an avid golfer and finally broke 70 this summer.
Recently I made five birdies in only nine holes.
My favorite sports to watch are listed below in tiers.
1: Football, Basketball, Golf
2: Baseball, Tennis
3: Soccer, Hockey
To Play-

I am 26 years old and from Washington, DC. In real life I play a newspaper reporter. I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2006 with a degree in English.
My favorite teams are the Dallas Mavericks, Boston Red Sox, New York Giants and Virginia Tech Hokies. I consider myself a modern fan, in that geography doesn't dictate my teams. My teams have been pretty fortunate of late, but I was also there through the Danny Kannell and Tim Naehring days, so please don't think I'm a fair-weather fan.
I also try to foot for my hometown teams the Nationals, Capitals and Wizards, but not if they play the above teams.
The teams I hate are numerous, and they grow with each passing season. A few of the more obvious include the New York Yankees, Miami Hurricanes, San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Co...

I love sports and I love to write so being a part of Bleacher Report seems like a natural fit for me. I hope that I can gain some experience through this endeavor and someday have a career doing some sort of writing, no matter the outlet.

So much of life is a farce. Sports is real...Whether it’s an NFL LB smashing a RB head on, that hit happened...Sports is real... I have been an avid basketball fan my entire life.
Following the NBA and the Boston Celtics for 25 years, I have lived through the prime and retirement of Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and Michael Jordan.
I have fond memories of Doctor J. and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's retirement tours.
I have sad recollections of the demise of the Celtics organization in the post Larry Bird Era and I have gripping memories of the resurrection of the organization in 2008.
I started writing about the NBA in April of 2009. The media coverage of LeBron James' MVP announcement drove me to insanity. It particularly aggravated me that the media constantly made everything LeBron historic and legendary.
For a player not yet to win a title, in my opinion, these comparison were insulting to the NBA legends...

Paul Augustin has been a sports fan since he was old enough to walk. He has been a Saints fan since the franchise.was granted, saw Tom Dempsey's amazing 63 yard field goal in person, and was present for the Saint's first game in the Superdome and first playoff victory..
Paul sold programs in the old Tulane Stadium for many years so he could get in and see parts of the games and was present at all of the Superbowls at the venerable old stadium.
As a child, he used to walk to go see the New Orleans Buccaneers games when the old ABA was around. and spent many mights in the cheap seats in the upper deck of the Superdome watching the New Orleans Jazz.
His father was a Tulane grad, but he has always been an LSU Tiger fan, even through the Curley Hallman and David Archer years...

A sportswriter is neither a homer nor a fan. Instead, a sportswriter is a fan of the game, a fan of the sport he or she is covering. Though we might have favorite teams that we root for, when it comes to reporting, we call them as we see them.
We heap praise or lay blame whenever or wherever we feel it is justified. Even our favorite team’s most hated adversary can receive our profound admiration. And our team’s most beloved player or coach can be the subject of our admonition.
I am a sportswriter. It’s as plain and simple as that. I have no problem calling out the players and coaches that I admire when I feel their actions warrant it. But the game itself remains beyond reproach.
In addition to sportswriting, I have been a screenwriter, a media writer and an educator. A...
