Your neighbor's Bar Mitzvah can wait; Jay Cutler’s '80s dance party cannot.

No, you’re not dreaming. You haven’t expired and floated up to a college campus in the skies. This is happening—Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari are throwing an '80s themed party to raise money for diabetes research and care (via NBC Chicago).

The party is an official Jay Cutler Foundation event, and all proceeds will go towards helping people with diabetes. So if you needed any other reason to go besides “Jay Cutler '80s party,” you can add “charity” as a justification to cancel your prior engagements.

Need more? Billy Ocean will be playing at the event. No, not Frank Ocean, the awesome one.

Sounds too good, right? You’re thinking, “Dan, are you trying to tell me that this July, Jay Cutler is going to dress up like a human road cone and chain-smoke fake cigarettes on the dance floor to ‘Caribbean Queen’?”

Yes. Yes I am. Well, I don't know about about the fake chain-smoking part—he’s done that before for his birthday—but I'm optimistic. I do know for certain the event is taking place in downtown Chicago at Joe’s on Weed Street.

This gala affair is a 21+ event, and tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. CST on May 21.

What’s the attire, you ask? “Your best 80s attire,” according to the event’s web site. Translation:

Also featured on the docket for the event is the '80s cover band The Breakfast Club, which Emilio Estevez is unfortunately not a part of.

On the other hand, if you ever were to randomly run into Emilio Estevez in the bathroom, this party is your best chance. I have nothing to back that up with, just a feeling.
