Penn State-Rutgers to Renew Football Series in 2014-15

The Penn State Nittany Lions and Rutgers Scarlet Knights rivalry will finally make a comeback in the 2014 season.

The Nittany Lions and Scarlet Knights last met in 1995, when Penn State blew RU out by a score of 59-34 at Giants Stadium, the highest scoring game in the series.

The teams first met in 1918 and played every season from 1982-95.

Penn State should be the happy ones, because they lead the series 22-2.

"We are excited about renewing our rivalry with Rutgers," Curley stated. "We have played many memorable games with them. I am appreciative of the efforts of Bob Mulcahy for his enthusiasm to have Penn State return to upcoming schedules for Rutgers."

Going way back in the day, PSU has always been known for taking away Rutgers recruits from New Jersey, so a little revenge may be in their eyes when 2014 rolls around.

PSU All-American Sean Lee Ready for Big Return

Former All-American Linebacker Sean Lee is back, determined, and ready to make a huge impact for the 2009 Penn State Nittany Lions.

After shattering his ACL during spring practice last season, Lee was forced to miss the entire 2008 campaign. He was expected to be a top class draft pick in the 2008 NFL draft if he was able to compete.

Now as a 5th year redshirted senior, Sean Lee is ready to lead his team to glory

When asked about his knee now, Lee is very positive. He told reporters, “It’s great, 100 percent, ready to go.” Even though he is not expected to compete in the annual Blue-White game on April 25 just as a precaution, that can't stop Lee's competitiveness, “I don’t think it has anything to do with the knee. “If I had to play tomorrow, I could.”

All sounds well so far for the hard working senior. Expect him to be named team captain in a few weeks... a position that he deserves more than anybody else.

Watch out for the record book as well this season, he could graduate form Penn State being the all-time tackler from the program. And that's saying something when you go down the list of former Linebacker U standouts.

What's up everybody! It's Ryan Moore checking back in to cover everything Penn State Football. For those of you who don't remember me, I used to be the beat writer for Nittany Lions Football who posted pregame and postgame articles after every matchup.

It is great to be back so make sure you stay tuned for offseason stories about recruiting, spring practice, Lift For Life and much more!

Also, as an added feature this year, I will be in attendance for all 8 home games this season, which means exclusive photos straight from the Penn State student section.

Football season is coming faster than we think!

WE ARE...
