Los Angeles Dodgers-Philadelphia Phillies: 2009 NLCS Preview

For the first time since 2004-05, we will have a rematch in the National League Championship Series as the Los Angeles Dodgers will face the defending World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies for the right to represent the National League in the 2009 World Series.

The National League Championship has had four rematches in history with the Dodgers being in two of those—this will be the second time against the Phillies.

NLCS Rematch History:

1977 Los Angeles Dodgers beat Philadelphia Phillies 3-1.

1978 Los Angeles Dodgers beat Philadelphia Phillies 3-1.

1991 Atlanta Braves beat Pittsburgh Pirates 4-3.

1992 Atlanta Braves beat Pittsburgh Pirates 4-3.

2004 St. Louis Cardinals beat Houston Astors 4-3.

2005 Houston Astors beat St. Louis Cardinals 4-2.

2008 Philadelphia Phillies beat Los Angeles Dodgers 4-1.

2009 Philadelphia Phillies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers ?

The NL West has the overall better record against the NL East, 6-2.

History shows that every time a rematch—except for one has happened in the past—the defending National League Champions have won. Will history repeat itself or will the Los Angeles Dodgers change the trend?

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies will meet for the fifth time—the series record is tied at 2-2.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are 5-3 all time in the NLCS; the Phillies they are 4-3 all time. These two teams have a combined 24 World Series appearances (Dodgers 18 & Phillies six) and eight World Championships (Dodgers six & Phillies two).

The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to create magic from 20 years ago when Kirk Gibson hit the home run heard around the World and a team that was meant for destiny as on the other side the Phillies are looking to repeat for the first time since the New York Yankees did it in the mid-90s and the first National League team to do since the 70s.

The Los Angeles Dodgers on paper have a stacked coaching staff but that is not what showed last year as they were beat last year by the Phillies coaching staff as they would win the series 4-1.

Joe Torre has been there and done that with the teams he has coached for and he the titles that he has show it. Charlie Manuel is a great coach and knows what to do with the game on the line.

The Los Angeles Dodgers staff is good and a much better staff with experience that will bring them a long way.

Offense: Advantage Philadelphia Phillies

When you look at the lineups they look pretty similar to last year with a couple names added to the mix in Hudson and Ibanez.

X-Factor: Andre Ethier: Andre has picked up this team and even has been dubbed Mr. Clutch because of his hitting in tight or clutch situations.

Player to Watch: Ibanez, Howard, Rollins, and Utley can carry this team, but can also struggle at times. With Pat Burrell not there, things can drastically change in the postseason.

Rotation: Advantage Los Angeles Dodgers

Randy Wolf/Cliff Lee: Lee

Clayton Kershaw/Cole Hamels: Kershaw

Hiroki Kuroda/Joe Blanton: Kuroda

Chad Billingsley/J.A. Happ: Billingsley

This seems to be the rotation that both teams could be going with but things are subject to change. The Dodgers don’t have the name power that the Phillies do but the Dodgers do have good pitching, but is it as good as the Phillies.

I think so.

The Dodgers have good pitching but can they get past Lee, Hamels and Haap. The Dodgers beat probably the best three headed rotation in the game beating Carpenter, Wainwright, and Pineiro

X-Factor: Cole Hamels, will we see the MVP of the World Series or the 10-11 Cole Hamels from 2009, I think if Hamels does good they will win.

Player to Watch: Chad Billingsley—He has struggled, but I think that ends in this series. Chad will get his moment and he will the most of it.

The Dodgers have options with their rotation and have a rotation they can put together to prevail in the NLCS.

The bullpen is going to be controlled by the Los Angeles Dodgers in this hands down, but one thing to look at in this all is one guy that could change all that…Brad Lidge.

X-Factor: Brad Lidge, he will have to step up and be the man when no one else can be and he will be the key to the Phillies success.

Player to Watch: George Sherrill & Scott Eyre. Who ever slips up first could cost their team the series.

Bench: Advantage Los Angeles Dodgers

It is the young vs. vets when you look at on paper as the Dodgers have a lot of veterans looking for one more shot to make it to the dance.

Jim Thome was brought in to basically give them that home run power when they need just like the Phillies used Matt Stairs.

X-Factor: Juan Pierre, He will be big in this series being used every way possible and that could be a advantage or a disadvantage.

Player to Watch: Jim Thome. Matt Stairs did it in 2008, could it be Thome in 09.

The Dodgers have a better bench then the Phillies, yea their old but they know how to win.

The Phillies are the better defense of team even though the Dodgers can make plays. The veterans of the Dodgers slow them down and that’s where to the Phillies can beat them.

X-Factor: Carlos Ruiz, the Dodgers do play small ball and stealing will be big in this series and that is where Ruiz will succeed or fail.

Player to Watch: Rafael Furcal, he knows how to play defense, but can he still do it that is something that could help the Dodgers in the long run.

My Bold Prediction for this series is that another young Dodger will step up.

National League Series Championship Prediction: Los Angeles Dodgers in Six.

The Dodgers will ultimately get their revenge on the Phillies are go to the World Series in 2009.

The Dodgers have upgraded in positions where they lost in big spots last year. The Dodgers rotation doesn’t have the three best pitchers but have six quality starters that can win.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will be the National League Champions for the first time since they one it all in 1988.

When you think of your favorite athlete, you think of the team they're on, then you think of the jersey, and that’s when you look at the number they wear. Eventually, that number might become your favorite.

The number athletes wear could be their favorite number, a number they have worn through high school, or any other different meaning to them.

Project 99 is just that. There will be 99 numbers to choose from, 0-99, and you are thinking "that is a hundred numbers"; well, I wanted to be a part of my own project so I'll let you know what number I picked at the end of this article. There are 99 left.

The sports that are included are every major sport in the following list: baseball, basketball, football, hockey, soccer, auto racing, and any sport that has number jerseys in it, and it can be college or professional sports.

The way the project works is 99 writers will choose one number, and, again, it is the first 99 writers who will be involved in it. It's first come, first served, but I hope that everyone can be a part of it somehow.

The writer will choose a number and will write an article on the best athlete to wear that certain number; again, this will be based on opinion, so there will be a lot of people disagreeing, but this is something that the whole community can be a part of.

Once you pick your number, your number will be based on the day that we start counting down to the new year. This project will start on Sept. 23, 2009; from then we will start the countdown to the new year at zero.

We Will Not Live Our Lives In Fear: WWE After 9/11

I was eleven years old when the world was caught off guard, as I—along with millions of people—watched the destruction of the World Trade Center.

My mom in tears, my dad shocked, my family in disarray .

I remember coming home from school on that day, as we were sent home early due to what we saw. September 12th, 2001 was the longest and slowest day of my life and it was one of the saddest.

As Thursday came around I was hoping to see SmackDown and for the first time my mom sat there with me as we saw Vince McMahon open the show in the Compaq Center in Houston, Texas.

When Vince said "We will not live you lives in fear," I could see my mom start to cry as she had for the first time really watched and listened as he spoke upon how this was the first assembly of this size since the tragedy of Tuesday.

“The citizens of Houston are not afraid, the citizens of Texas are indeed not afraid and by God, the citizens of the United States are not afraid,” Vince McMahon spoke those words and my mom said “Oh Hell Yea, you tell them Vince”. I saw my mom as a patriot like I saw Vince McMahon a patriot and I got the goosebumps and started to feel that I didn’t have to be afraid of what I watched on TV on that dark day.

When he said “proud of who we are, proud of our nation and damn proud to be Americans,” I finally grasped the situation and the tears flowed down my face.

Vince said “America’s heart has been wounded, but her spirit shines as a beacon of freedom that never has been and never will be taken away.” Lillian Garcia sang the national anthem. My mom told me to stand as I listened to the words for the first time and clearly knew why my mother cried. I was so proud of the country and that we are a strong nation and it made me proud to be a citizen of the United States of America.

The September 13, 2001 edition of SmackDown was bigger than wrestling and it showed with the words were spoken and the crowd cheering “USA USA”. It showed that even something that is what wrestling was made out to be could be so real at that moment in time as the fans stood on there feet as we saw something real that night and I realize something that night.

Wrestling could do what others were afraid to do at that time and take that risk to provide us with a smile that was needed at a time of sorrow. I smiled big, chanting USA with my mom and we watched the whole show not changing the channel.

For those two hours we lived with a smile on our face.

Two years later, Vince decided to show his appreciation by taking some of the guys in the company and giving the troops one hell of a show.

When he spoke to the troops, I was sitting in the same spot I did when I watch the 9/13/01 edition of SmackDown.

He said “The secret weapon of the fighting men and woman, the secret weapon is the American spirit that lives in side of each and every one of you.” That quote from that speech touched my heart because it was so true because all that was needed was to believe.

He talked about the media and how they portrayed the fighting men and women. He had a message for those naysayers that have put those men and woman down and uttered one his greatest lines ever: “If it’s alright with you, when I get back home I am going to look up some of these naysayers and I am going to say that you said they can go straight to hell.”

The WWE has done something no other sport will do and that is put on a show for those troops. That they can go into the heat of it all and entertain those troops and put a smile on their faces.

Tribute to the Troops has become a WWE tradition and I think they plan to do it until we bring our troops back home.

We have showed strength as a nation since 9/11, we have shown that on the night in September in 2001 was something that was unique and never be forgotten because of who we are and what we stand for.

When I watch Tribute To The Troops, I start to tear up because of the fallen soldiers that are talked about and the people that are away from their families. It hits me hard because the love I have for my family and how these heroes fight for our freedom and are away from their families. Those wrestlers that go every year leave their families and risk their lives to show their support to those who need it.

It has been nine years since that sad and dark day in history. As I watch the WWE every Memorial Day, Veteran's Day or when they pay Tribute to the Troops it shows what they have built since that night in the Compaq Center in Houston, Texas.

I am proud to be an American and this article is to pay tribute to our country and the troops that have left us but will never be forgotten.

B/R The Movie: Coming Soon

I have been sitting around for a week or so thinking what can I write about. Something came to me as I watched The Wrestler.

I am going to create a movie.

I have started on plots and want to use certain writers in the movie and I want a lot of people to be a part of it.

Some will not join, so I will have to change things around so I will be working on this first thing Tuesday so I will need to know by 8/4/09 by roughly 12:00 Central.

B/R The Movie is to be released 10/02/09, that is roughly about two months away.

The Plot will come out after everyone that wants to join in and be apart has contacted me.

Let me know your input and about you so I can get a better idea of how to use you in the movie.

Adrian's Weekly Thoughts: Night Of Champions Edition

This is week in wrestling was good but it was all a quality build up to the matches at Night of Champions.

Raw

Raw this week was felt to be good but could have been better, it was great to see ZZ Top as the guest host as it got to see one of the funniest things with Santino wearing that fake beard.

Cena coming up and building up the main event in what I expect to be a great match with three of the biggest superstars in the ring at one time.

I was hoping not see another tag match as the main event as I have seen all month between the three shows.

I was into the six man tag team match because I got to see some of the young talent shine as I saw Kofi come into his own as he has showed something new in the ring and like to see him shine at Night of Champions.

Brain Kendrick and Lawler match was kind of predictable of who was going to win because most matches Lawler walks into now a days are to face the young cocky superstars and show him who’s boss.

Watching the Mickie James interview brought me back to the old days when they would interview superstars from the ramp or near that area and had a old school fell to it.

Mark Henry keeps his impact on Raw rolling with another victory against Jericho as he is becoming a top face on Raw and a force to be reckon with.

Hornswoggle and Chavo was my bathroom break for the second week in a row. It was good to see a athlete getting the chance to run Raw next week in Washington D.C.

I feel like that Alicia Fox is getting some type of a push or it is just another diva fill-in match.

The Main Event was a great ending, with Cena getting the momentum going into Night of Champions as he looks to get back his title that he never lost.

Overall Raw was a good show and I am looking forward to the Big Diesel running the show this Monday.

ECW

Yoshi Tatsu and William Regal put a good match together to start the show, to me its good to see a good veteran like Regal going off with a different style in Yoshi.

Jackson squashed the jobber and as I watch this match I wonder as I have for years, where in the hell do they find all these jobbers.

Jackson looks to be having a feud against Kozlov as it could turn into USA vs. Russia type storyline. It will be something that I keep my eye on.

The Golden One vs. The Gold Standard was a good quality match as Shelton would build the momentum that he has had in the weeks that he has been on ECW.

Sheamus called out Finlay in a promo, I wondered if Finlay will have anything to say back to the Irish Warrior in the weeks to follow.

Tyler Reks put a good first match together beating Paul Burchill and the little Abraham Washington talk show was what you say horrible.

I see myself watching ECW more and more and I will keep doing the same to see what I will get from the Land of the Extreme.

WWE Superstars

This was one of the first times I have seen Regal vs. Christian and they didn’t disappoint in a good match to open the show.

Evan Bourne beat Jamie Noble in a match just to basically to get Bourne over.

Morrison just keeps his momentum going, hopefully getting a World Championship run soon as he will be the top face on SmackDown when Hardy leaves.

I think it’s a good show and a great show for the fact to get the people that WWE is trying to get over.

SmackDown

Even with Jeff Hardy’s promo and all the hype going towards Jeff to win, I just don’t see it happening. Great match between Jeff and Chris as Jeff gets a big win going into Night of Champions.

Khali getting a win over Knox but what I am thinking is damn that beard is long as hell. Great segment with Jesse aka Jay Master J. Dolph Ziggler vs. Finlay was a great match in my eyes and can’t wait to see Ziggler in the Intercontinental Championship match this Sunday.

It is possible that Kane could be his partner because he didn’t let off a hint that his partner is evil. CM Punk put a good promo together on the fans and Jeff Hardy, I feel like Jeff can be the voice of the people when he interrupted this promo.

Eve beat Natalya in a good match for diva standards and its good to see Eve put up a quality win.

R-Truth has a great chemistry with the crowd and I think that is something that goes unnoticed with him, R-Truth beat Charlie Haas, as we saw Truth shine beating Haas in great fashion.

Rey Mysterio even by DQ gets a win thanks to Dolph Ziggler as I was impressed with the chemistry that Rey and Punk had in their match together and would like them to go at it for the title some time in the future.

Good Show and it’s great where they can mix comedy with the great wrestling to make it a good show.

My Superstar of the Week is John Cena after getting momentum with a pin over Randy Orton going into Night of Champions.

My Loser of the Week is Chavo Guerrero again with another loss to Hornswoggle on Raw.

Best Match: Six Man Tag Match Kofi, MVP and Primo vs. Big Show, Jack Swagger and Carilto 7/20/09

Worst Match: Chavo Guerrero vs. Hornswoggle Raw 7/20/09

Best Show: Raw

Things to look forward to in the week ahead:

Raw, ECW and SmackDown: Who will walk out Champion at Night of Champions and walk into Raw as Champion, who is Jericho partner and can Cena win back the title he never lost.

Night of Champions is tonight, as every title will be on the line and I am here to give you my predictions.

Night of Champions

Six Pack Challenge for the WWE United States Championship - Kofi Kingston (WWE United States Champion) vs. Big Show vs. MVP vs. Jack Swagger vs. Carlito vs. The Miz

This match could be a show stealer if it can live up to the hype and the hype is not all that great but that is besides the point. Kofi is looking like a great United States Champion and would hate to see him lose it.

Swagger could be getting the title this Sunday and I wouldn’t be upset about it because it would be intresting to see how he does as the United States Champion.

Show is there for size and size only as Carilto and MVP are two I can’t see win the title but anything is possible.

The Miz would be nice to see as Champion because this would be his first singles title.

Winner: Jack Swagger

WWE Women's Championship - Michelle McCool (WWE Women's Champion) vs. Melina

The cockiness of McCool is nice to see out a diva and that this Sunday it is going to be interesting to see who walks out as the Women’s Champion.

Melina looks like she is on her way to get close to Trish's seven reigns but I think on this night McCool prevails and retains her title.

Winner: Michelle McCool

WWE Intercontinental Championship - Rey Mysterio (WWE Intercontinental Champion) vs. Dolph Ziggler

This to me has everything together to steal the show as Rey will face off against Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship. Ziggler has a lot of momentum building going into Night of Champions and I expect him to win his first singles title. This is going to be an excellent match.

Winner: Hello my name is Dolph Ziggler, New Intercontinental Champion

ECW Championship - Tommy Dreamer (ECW Champion) vs. Christian

I feel like I have seen this way to many times, but it is all coming to an end this Sunday and I expect Christian to find a way to win and I see a hand shake at the end of all this.

Winner: Christian

Unified Tag Team Championship - Chris Jericho & A Mystery Partner (Unified Tag Team Champions) vs. Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase

The big question is, Who is Jericho’s partner and this is great to have the tag division in the spotlight and it’s a great start to building it back up. I said Kane would be his partner but that’s throwing a name out there. I see Jericho and his partner winning.

Winner: Jericho and is partner

WWE Divas Championship - Maryse (WWE Divas Champion) vs Mickie James

This is one match I have been looking forward to with the sexy Maryse and James and hoping to see what we all want to see, a great match that these to can deliver on.

I like to make the Diva’s Champion a good title and having Maryse win this match, they could be on their way to just doing that.

Winner: Maryse in a close match

World Heavyweight Championship - CM Punk (World Heavyweight Champion) vs Jeff Hardy

Unless the WWE knows something that we don’t, then CM Punk is walking out as World Heavyweight Champion.

Winner: CM Punk

Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship - Randy Orton (WWE Champion) vs. John Cena vs Triple H

This is the match I am looking forward to the most and I hope to see Cena on top and give him his title back and feuding with someone new, but if not either Triple H and Randy Orton would be fine. I am picking Cena to win back the title he never lost.

Winner: John Cena

I expect the WWE to give us a few twist and turns through the night with one or two winning the title unexpected. I think it has the potential to be a great PPV.

It's Not Wrestling, It's Bleacher Report

What is so funny is that every single one of you put down those who are there to entertain you every single night.

It is the people on here who criticize those who are putting on a show every night for the fans, and I am sick and goddamn tired of it.

If you don’t like what you are watching, then change the goddamn channel.

Bleacher Report shouldn’t be about who writes a better hate article on Cena or Batista; if someone should be saying something bad it should be the wrestlers lashing out on you.

If I was one of them I would be telling you to take your criticism and shove so far up your own ass that you can feel it in your gut.

Everyday damn day it’s this and that and you call yourself writers…ha-ha…funny you guys are writers, more like every other person on this damn planet.

I know this won’t change anything and I can give a damn if you have anything to say, because you are just going to prove to me you can’t say anything positive.

You tell me which of any that I doubt that can do what those guys that put their bodies on the line every damn night for you and for you to say how bad their moves are or how stupid their gimmick is.

This is coming from people that come up with the stupid nicknames I have ever heard in my life time.

You don’t like what your watching well turn the Mother FUC**** channel.

WWE and TNA don’t need people who are going to be negative just because you ruined your life and never gave yourself a chance to do what they say.

I want to clean up every negative article one article at a time and it’s going to start now.

X-Division speak and Adrian gives them a chance of a life time with a shot at the X and TNA Championship Masked Man beats Lethal and gets a World Championship match and finds out to be Mohammed Hassan; Lethal gets a X Championship match Savage calls Lethal a poser Goldberg, Henry and Jeff def. New Born Thrillers via pinfall Sting says Steve Borden has been unleashed and he will on Cena at Victory Road Bret says the choice is in the fans hands to see who he will face at SummerSlam Angle and AJ win match after Goldberg spears Angle through the cage; All hell breaks lose and everyone comes out until Sting comes out and clears house as a Promo of the return of Undertaker Vince announced that he is selling the company to either Adrian or Shane and sets up a match or pick a wrestler for the match for SummerSlam' Shane ask why, Step comes out kisses Adrian as Vince says my girl gets what she wants. Last Sunday at Victory Road: Backstage Adrian with Step and Vince says if they break up the Mafia and Thrillers then he gets Angle in three weeks Adrian & Goldberg def. It is "The Grandaddy of Them All" on "The Biggest Stage of Them All." It is WrestleMania, an event that has given us some of the greatest matches in wrestling history.

When you look back, everyone wants to choose what match was the greatest. Well I am giving you, the B/R Wrestling Community, the opportunity to choose your WrestleMania card.

There have been 250 matches in WrestleMania history in 20 different venues with numerous commentators to go along with the many celebrities.

Rules:

I will let you choose 10 matches, but here is the catch: You can’t use the same person in two matches. After one person is used, he or she can’t be used again, so you are going to have to pick carefully.
You will get to pick the venue from any of the 20 in the past as the venue for this WrestleMania card.
I will let you choose any five celebrities to be at the Pay Per View.
You will get to choose any three announcers to do the play-by-play for the show, but they have to already have announced WrestleMania matches. Sorry Matt Striker Fans.

Adrian's Weekly Thoughts: Like the Summer, Wrestling Is Heating Up

Welcome Bleacher Report community to my first of many editions of Adrian's Weekly WWE Thoughts. I want to welcome everyone and talk about things that will talk about weekly.

I will talk about top stories going on in wrestling, a review of shows, and pick my superstar of the week, my loser of the week, the best match, worst match and best show in my eyes and one thing I could possibly look forward to. Some other stuff will be biggest surprise, and plenty more.

RAW

Raw started pretty good with Seth making the main event with him in it, it was a good start to the show. The WWE Diva's match was as good as they looked as I got to see a quality match for the first time in a while.

Miz and Primo was a good match also and can't recall not having to see the big name wrestlers in every other match and watching the young talent shine as Miz is starting to grow on me from a wrestling standpoint as he is getting better.

On a side note, some people here in the community don't look forward to a Brother vs. Brother feud, but I could look forward to this one because of the talent that both Carilto and Primo have.

Swagger and MVP was a great match on Raw because you got to see the young talent shine on Raw and Swagger picking up a good victory.

Mark Henry is going to be a force on Raw, as he is making a impact on Raw as he gets another victory against a big named superstar.

Chavo and Hornswoggle match was my bathroom break, I am getting tired of watching a wrestler been used for comedy. Don't get me wrong, I love comedy in wrestling but they use it to much.

I enjoyed watching Evan Bourne on Raw in his first match but was a little scared when he landed on his neck but felt better when he got up.

On a side note, I liked the aggression that came from Kofi after that match, showing me a serious side to him. The Main Event for me was all right, it could have been better with one of the three superstars building the advantage going into Night of Champions.

Raw overall was 50/50, it could have been a lot better but it was good enough to stay tuned in.

I am really looking forward to Night of Champions with the Main Event in Triple H vs. Randy Orton vs. John Cena.

ECW

The opening match to ECW was very good. Shelton vs. Christian was a great match and Shelton picking up the win made it that much better, as he needed the momentum.

Kozlov doing to commentary was fun to listen to as well, since his strong performance at the announcers' desk was a pleasant surprise.

Another plot I'll be watching is that involving Brian Kendrick's former "associate," Ezekiel Jackson. He has a strong upside going forward and his matches should be interesting...hopefully with bigger implications down the line.

New Superstar Initiative doesn't look bad with Yoshi, Tyler Reks, and Seamus and having a funny type guy with Washington. I wonder who else will be coming up in the so called "Land of Extreme."

Goldust made his debut on ECW against the one and only Zack Ryder and what can I say about this guy from Long Island, from some odd reason I like what the WWE is doing with one half of the most boring tag teams I had seen in recent years.

I really am like what they are doing with Helms as I am looking forward for him to make a much deserved push in the "Land of the Somewhat Extreme". The main event was good and as we know, Vince is big on Kozlov as he gets the victory.

ECW overall was not bad as it had a great match to open the show, but could have been a better ending.

WWE Superstars

The show was ok overall but could have been much better as Cryme Tyme would get the victory of the Hart Dynasty, Brie Bella beating Katie Lea Burchill, and Big Show getting a big victory over the United States Champion, Kofi Kingston.

SmackDown

SmackDown had a good opening with the promo, as I like how the WWE is slowing turning Punk into a heel. What can I say about Morrison and Punk, what a great match one of my favorites I have seen a while.

John Morrison is becoming one of my favorite wrestler in the WWE today...Ricky Ortiz well, Enough Said.

Cryme Tyme with Jesse aka Slam Master J was real funny and I like that they found something for Jesse after they split up the tag team. I had seen something I hadn't seen in a while from Kane, an upside.

Kane has been always underrated and it was good to see him in a good match with R-Truth with him getting the victory. On a side note, people are cheering for Great Khali.

Pretty Ricky is funny as I haven't really seen outdoor promo's like I have seen lately like they used to do back in the day. The Hart Dynasty looked impressive in the mix tag match and I like the future of the Hart Dynasty.

Mark my words, Dolph Ziggler is the next big thing coming in SmackDown as I like that they are also giving him a manger.

The Edge interview was something I looked forward to all night; I can't wait for him to come back and I hoping it as a fan favorite.

I hope WWE builds him up the right way when he comes back. It's good to hear the fans cheering for Edge as they have been lately.

The Main Event was good and Ziggler made it great with the attitude and the IT factor that he brings to SmackDown and the time he got to shine in the main event.

I think SmackDown was great in my eyes and am looking forward to next week.

My Superstar of the Week is John Morrison, as he gets a big victory over the World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk.

My Loser of the Week is sadly Chavo Guerrero as he is the joke of the WWE right now with another loss to Hornswoggle.

Best Match: John Morrison vs CM Punk SmackDown 7/19/09

Worst Match: Hornswoggle vs Chavo Guerrero 7/14/09

Best Show: SmackDown

In TNA news, they had their PPV last night, and it was mostly predictable with every Main Event Mafia winning all the titles except the X-Division Champonship. I wouldn't be shocked to see another member added so they can get that title, too.

Taz made his debut as Samoa Joe's advisor. Bobby Lashley will debut on Impact this Thursday, and I will be looking forward to see what happens on Impact.

Things to look forward to for Next Week:

Raw: What will be the build up going into Night of Champions, what will ZZ Top do make the show worth watching, and will we have a winner in this week's main event?

ECW: Will the Land of the Extreme get better with every week that passes, and who will shine on this week's show?

SmackDown: What will Dolph Ziggler be up to this week, and will John Morrison get a title shot or not?

I am Good Old JR and with me as always is Jeff D Gorman, tonight we have one hell of a night for you with the King of the Mountain match for the United States Championship, Umaga v Triple H with HBK as the special guest ref, Cutting Edge tonight with CM Punk the WWE Champion and the King of the Mountain match for the WWE and World Heavyweight Championship.

Jeff: It is going to be one amazing night and with us from ECW Epics is Tazz and Matt Striker.

Tazz: Thanks Jeff, we have a Winner takes all match for the Tag Team and Knockout Championship, Strange Bedfellows Match for the Intercontinental and Legends titles and the seven men going for the ECW Championship in a Elimination Chamber match.

Striker: I am looking forward to the main event to see Foley, who in my eyes could be the favorite going in even with the cards against him. From SmackDown its the always great Joey Styles and the loser Don West.

Styles: Thank you and I know West is a loser.

West: HEY!

Jim Ross: Hey is for horses, dumbass.

West: Shut up!

Jim Ross: Tell me to Shut Up again and I will bring my Oklahoma Sooner ass over there and beat you with my size ten shoe, you Tony Schiavone wannabe.

All the announcers says WOW as Styles takes control before it gets out of hand.

Styles: Tonight we will have Adrian and Goldberg facing the New Event Mafia and if Adrian and Goldberg win, then the Mafia and I hear New Born Thrillers are finished, but if the Mafia wins then they run SmackDown for the next six weeks, in a much heated rivalry it will be Cena and Sting in a Lumberjack match, we will see who our new SmackDown superstar is, we will have a Triple Threat match for the TNA World Championship and we will get answers about last Friday about Steph and Adrian and the McMahon family as we get underway with our first bout.

Jim Ross: Hello and Welcome to the First ever King of the Mountain match since WWE and TNA merged togerther. Man do we have a Action Packed First Match with 6 men all Looking to climb that Ladder and place the Belt onto the Lock!

Nigel McGuinness and Tyler Black team up and take out Bobby Lashley as Evan Bourne and Suicide go at it meanwhile Matt Hardy Gets a Steel Chair from the outside and sneaks into the Ring.

Evan Bourne turns around and is hit by the Steel Chair by Matt Hardy, Tyler Black hits a Hurricarana on Bobby Lashley followed by Nigel McGuinness Stamping on His Chest.

Suicide hits Matt Hardy with the Steel Chair and goes for the pin.1..2.Matt Hardy Kicks out! Jack Swagger runs to the Ring and helps Bobby Lashley fight Tyler Black and Nigel McGuinness, Suicide hits Matt Hardy with a dropkick to the face and a Enzugiri to Evan Bourne.

Tyler Black hits the Small Package Driver on Bobby Lashley.1..2.. Jack Swagger stops the Pin! Suicide hits the D.O.A on Evan Bourne and goes for the pin.1..2...3.

Jeff D Gorman: Suicide is now Able to Win the Match! Evan Bourne Must Spend two minutes in the Penalty Box.

Evan Bourne slowly makes his way to the penalty box while Suicide gets a Ladder from the outside and sets it up, Matt Hardy Pushes the Ladder over but Suicide manages to Land onto the Penalty Box.

Matt Hardy grabs Bobby Lashley and hits a Twist of Fate on top of a Steel Chair and goes for the pin.1..2..Jack Swagger stops the pin! Matt Hardy hits Jack Swagger with the Steel Chair.

The Clock counts down to 30 Seconds as Suicide jumps down and begins to climb the Ladder once again after taking the belt from Mr. Jeff D Gorman, Matt Hardy Tries to pull him down but Suicide kicks him off and hits a Moonsault, taking Matt Hardy Out!

Evan Bourne is released and attacks Suicide with a Table, Evan Bourne sets the Table up and places Suicide on it He its a Huge Shooting star press through the table, Matt Hardy realises and gets the pin.1..2..3.

Jeff D Gorman: Matt Hardy is now able to win this match! Suicide must spend two minutes in the penalty box.

Matt Hardy picks the Title Belt up and Begins to climb the ladder, However Bobby Lashley stops him and hits a Powerbomb, Jack Swagger hits his finisher the Gutwrench Powerbomb on Nigel McGuinness.

Tyler Black hits Jack Swagger with the Steel Chair and throws him out of the ring, Tyler Black Low blows Bobby Lashley and hits God's Last Gift (Small Package driver ).1..2..3!

Jeff D Gorman: Tyler Black is now able to win this match! Bobby Lashley must spend two Minutes in the Penalty box.

Bobby Lashley enters as Suicide comes out, Suicide climbs onto the ring apron springs off the top Rope and takes out Evan Bourne and Matt Hardy. Meanwhile, Tyler Black gets another Ladder and sets it up right next to the other one. Nigel McGuinness puts Bobby Lashley on top of a Steel Chair and hits him with another Steel Chair, Suicide and Matt Hardy Climb on to one of the Ladders and Tyler Black trys to Push their Ladder over.

Nigel McGuinness beats Jack Swagger with a Steel Chair and hits a English DDT onto the steel Chair, Tyler Black, Matt Hardy and Suicide go at on the Ladders while Evan Bourne climbs to the top rope and dropkicks the Ladder that Tyler Black is on sending him into the ropes.

Nigel McGuinness places Bobby Lashley on the top rope and hits the the Tower of London and goes for the pin.1..2..3.

Jeff D Gorman: Nigel McGuinness is able to win this match! Bobby Lashley must spend two minutes in the penalty box.

Matt Hardy and Suicide are fighting at the top of a ladder and Matt Hardy grabs Suicide's neck and hits a Massive Twist of Fate off a Ladder! Tyler Black starts to Climb the ladder but Nigel McGuinness pulls him down.

Evan Bourne hits Nigel McGuinness with a steel chair and climbs to the top rope, He hits a Huge Shooting star press! heres the pin.1..2..3.

Jeff D Gorman: Evan Bourne is now able to win this match! Nigel McGuinness will now spend two minutes in the penalty box.

Evan Bourne begins to climb the ladder, This could be it!, Tyler Black Low blows Evan Bourne and throws him off! Matt Hardy gets back up but the New Hardcore legend Jeff Hardy runs out and hits a Twist of Fate on Matt Hardy!

Backstage with Vince, Adrian, Steph and Goldberg

Vince: You ready to whoop some Mafia ass boys?

Adrian: You know it, Vinnie.

Door opens as Steph walks in and kisses Adrian as she says...

Step: Dad, I will be walking my man and his partner to ringside tonight and if Triple H is even thinking about coming near Adrian, then he is sadly mistaken.

Bill: I don't know what is going on with all of you, but Adrian, you better be focused tonight so we can end all this bullshit tonight and so I can get my match with Angle.

Adrian: If we win tonight, then you get your match.

Bill: Good, because its my terms and my match in three weeks in my hometown the ATL.

Adrian: "It is going to be an historic night, guys and girls," as he winks at Steph.

Tazz and Striker hype the match before it starts.

ECW Epics Match One: Beer Money Inc & ODB vs. The Hart Dynasty w/ Jim Neidhart (Winner Takes All – Tag Team and Knockouts title belts)

Natalya and ODB start the match.

The two women lock up and try to prove their dominance over the other. They push back and forth, but they find that they are equal in strength. They break the hold and Natalya ducks behind ODB and connects with a German suplex.

Natalya stands up and looks at ODB approvingly. She leans over ODB to pick her up, but ODB takes out her legs. ODB now stands up and drags Natalya to her feet. ODB locks in a bear hug.

Natalya is thrashing around, trying to find some way to get out of the submission hold. Natalya stomps on ODB’s foot and she breaks the hold.

Natalya picks ODB up and hits her with a scoop slam. She picks up one leg and locks in a signature Hart family Sharpshooter. ODB screams in pain and tries to reach the bottom rope.

Just as she gets within a few inches, Natalya pulls her away while still keeping the hold locked in.

Jim Neidhart jumps up onto the ring apron and the referee immediately turns towards him and tells him to get down. Jim starts arguing with the ref and the ref is now yelling back at him.

While that’s happening, Kidd and Hart get into the ring and charge at the opposite corner. They knock Beer Money off the apron and climb down to attack them. At the same time, Natalya quickly goes under the ring and grabs a steel chair.

She slides back into the ring at clocks ODB in the head with it. Natalya throws the chair away and goes for the pin as her father finally gets off the ring apron. 1... 2... 3!

Winner and new Tag Team and Knockouts Champions: The Hart Dynasty

Tazz: What a match and congrats to the New Tag and Knockout Champions The Hart Dynasty.

ECW Epics Segment: Backstage

Rey Mysterio and Shelton Benjamin are backstage discussing tactics for their match later tonight when they get attacked by The Clan.

Christian, Tomko, and Rhyno are kicking and punching the duo into unconsciousness before Rhyno delivers a gore to both of them.

Christian: That should improve your odds of winning the Legends and Intercontinental Championships!

The Clan run off before anyone sees them.

Striker: I don’t think the champs will be able to make it to their match. I guess that means that the gold will be changing hands tonight no matter what.

Styles: Well it's time for SmackDown first match and it will be Adrian and Goldberg against the New Event Mafia as the winner of the match will get what they want, Bill and Adrian win New Event Mafia and New Born Thrillers are done, but if the Mafia then SmackDown is in for something for the next month and a half.

New Event Mafia (Nash and Scott vs Adrian Staehle and Goldberg)

The Mafia comes out to heat as Nash taunts the crowd and walks to the ring.

Adrian comes out first to some heat but mostly cheers as he walks with Step holding hands and waits at the middle of the ramp as Goldberg comes out and comes out to a huge pop.

Adrian runs to the ring as the ring clears out as Goldberg works his way in to the ring as as Steph walks to the side of the ring. Scott gets in the ring to start the match, the bell rings as the match is offical as Bill and Scott are in the ring.

Bill starts of with a few combos as he works on Scott chest until Scott backs off and tags Nash as Goldberg looks up and then gives him a blow to the knee, Bill works on the shoulder next and tags in Adrian as he gets on the top rope and drops a double arm axe as he works on the shoulder and gits a arm drag, tags in Bill.

Bill steps on his shoulder, hands, knees and feet as he stomps away and tags in Adrian as Adrian works on the knee as Bill gets tagged back in but when he goes for the knee Nash goes for a small package but only gets a two-count.

Nash gets a tag to Scott, he hits a belly-to-belly on Bill and then clotheslines Adrian and starts to build the advantage for the Mafia as they work on Bill's mid-section.

Kevin gets the tag and starts hit clotheslines, knees to the gut, hits to the head and hits a powerslam but only gets a two count, he gets up and when he turns around he gets a Spear by Goldberg, who played possum and is laying on the gorund but pins and gets a two count and tags in Adrian who hits a flying headbutt to the head of Nash.

Nash holds his eye and tells the ref to stop the match but the ref doesn't because Adrian tells him not to.

Adrian goes for a superkick but Kevin blocks and Steph comes to the apron and Nash pushes Adrian into her but he catches her and hugs her and Nash looks like he is going to clothesline him and her but Adrian hits a low blow and Goldberg spears Nash.

Adrian then attacks Scott out of the ring and Bill goes for the Jackhammer and connects for the 1, 2, 3.

Winner: Via pinfall Adrian and Goldberg and now New Event Mafia and New Born Thrillers have to split their groups forever.

After the match, they got to Angle's locker as he is throwing everything around and then cut back to Adrian and Bill dapping off and saying "You get Angle", as you can read his lips and Steph runs to the ring and kisses Adrian as they hug and celebrate.

They cut to Triple H locker room and he throws the sledgehammer through the TV and looks in the mirror and punches it until his fists start to bleed.

The Cutting Edge! Tonight's guest WWE Champion CM Punk.

Edge: Hello and Welcome to the first Cutting Edge since I moved to Monday night Raw IMPACT! Tonights guest faces five other men in a King of the Mountain Match not only for his WWE Championship but also for the Vacant World Heavyweight Championship. His name is CM Punk! Now CM Punk as the Current WWE Champion How do you feel about tonights match?

CM Punk: I think that after tonight's match things in the Wrestling world Will change forever! Not only will I Have Retained and Won Both Titles, but I would have Gained a very Important Ally! Anyway I don't have Time for Chit Chat; Good night!

Kurt Angle comes out first to a lot of heat as he is walking for a purpose.

Styles comes out to a great pop as the fireworks go off as he holds both Championships in the air as he walks to the ring.

Angle and Rock go at it to start the match as they start to punch each other back and forth, Angle hits a German uppercut and then AJ spears Angle and starts to punch him repeatdly in the head until The Rock breaks it up and starts to hit AJ as the match conutines.

Rock has the advantage in the match as is working on AJ, Angle comes out of no where and hits a German suplex, he picks up AJ and hits three German's as he works on AJ on the ground trying to choke him out.

Rock stomps Angle head and the hold is let go and the Rock looks to Angle in the Sharpshooter but Angle counters with a Ankle Lock, Styles gets up and hits a Pele on Angle and knock him out.

AJ attemps a Pele but the Rock some how catches his body as he runs with him on his shoulder and hits a running power bomb and pins him, but only gets two count, Rock looks at Angle and stomps and taunts at Angle waiting for him to get up as he attemps to hit the Rock Bottom.

Rock looks like he is going to hit the Rock Bottom but Angle hits a double drop kick and hits Angle and Rock in the head as he jumps off the top rope, he pins Angle only a two count and the same for Rock. AJ looks like he is going to hit the Styles Clash on Angle but Rock hits a clothesline and he picks up AJ and hits the spinebuster and pops up but hen he does Angle hits the Angle Slam out of no where as all three men are down.

Kurt goes up to the top rope as AJ lays in the middle of the ring as he looks to hit the moonsault and connects but when he gets up he is met with a Rock Bottom, Rock pops up and goes for the People's Elbow as he takes the elbow pad off and connects goes for the pin 1, 2,..... AJ stops the count as he hits the Rock and looking to hit the Styles Clash but misses, Rock Bottom missed, Angle gets up and goes for the Angle Slam on Rock missed, Pele to Angle connects.

Rock gets AJ for the Rock Bottom misses, Pele connects to Rock as he waits for Angle to get up and hits the Styles Clash on Angle, pins Angle 1, 2,..........Rock breaks up the count as all three men are tired. All three get to their feet at the same time, everyone is hitting each other and out of no where Angle Slam is tried on Rock but Styles hits a flying forearm on Angle, Kurt bounces right off the ropes and Rock hits the Rock Bottom.

Rock turns around and attemps the Rock Bottom but gets the Styles Clash hit it on the Rock as he lands on Angle, Styles pins Angle 1, 2, Angle puts his his foot on the rope. AJ is mad as hell as he looks at the ref and says "TWO that was THREE", Rock comes out of no where and hits the Rock Bottom, pops up and goes for the People's Elbow. As he goes for the Elbow he clothesline Angle out of the ring and connects the Elbow........1, 2, 3.

ECW Epics Match Three: Elmination Chamber Match Mick Foley vs. Christian vs. Batista vs. RVD vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. MVP

Christian comes to the ring first with a determined look on his face. The crowd is giving him an immense amount of heat. He’s got a steel chair in his hand as he gets into the first pod. MVP struts to the ring next, seemingly without a weapon. MVP gets into the chamber and takes his necklace off. He wraps it around his hand and makes a fist. It looks like the chain necklace is MVP’s weapon of choice for this match. He gets locked into the second pod. Dreamer comes to the ring with a bundle of kendo sticks slung over his shoulder. He gets into the second last pod. Batista is the last man to get locked into a pod. He has brought a fire extinguisher to the chamber to use as a weapon. Rob Van Dam is next to emerge from backstage. He looks ready for a fight. His weapon of choice is a six foot ladder! He sets up the ladder in the middle of the ring and sits on the top rung waiting for the last participant to arrive in the ring.Last out is the ECW Epics champion, Mick Foley. His weapon of choice is the championship belt itself. He gets into the chamber and the door is locked behind him. Foley climbs through the ropes and stares down RVD. The referee signals for the bell and the match is now underway.

Foley approaches RVD, who’s still on top of the ladder, and raises the championship belt into the air. The crowd cheers for the champion. RVD smiles and jumps off the ladder. He hits Foley with a missile dropkick, which sends the belt flying and Foley ends up on the canvas.

RVD runs the ropes and goes for a rolling thunder. Foley rolls out of the way at the last second and RVD hits the mat with a big impact. Foley gets to his feet, props up RVD’s head and continuously hits him with jab after jab.

Foley picks RVD up from the mat and sets him up for a double arm DDT. Foley checks the mat to see where the belt is and lands the DDT on top of it. RVD is knocked unconscious from the blow and is sprawled out on the floor.

It’s time for another wrestler to get involved in the match. The spotlight alternates among the locked pods and finally settles on Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer is released from the pod and he unties his bundle of kendo sticks.

Foley turns around to confront Dreamer and is met with a cane to the forehead. Foley is dazed for a moment and Dreamer hits him several more time in the head until Foley starts bleeding. Foley drops to his knees and Dreamer strikes with the cane one more time for good measure. Foley collapses onto the mat, motionless.

Dreamer turns his attention onto RVD. He picks him up and hits snake eyes on the top turnbuckle. Dreamer picks RVD up again and puts him in a tree of woe. Dreamer walks over to the ladder, folds it up, and rams it into RVD’s upside down head.Dreamer then wedges the ladder in front of RVD’s head and walks to the opposite corner.

Dreamer/Crowd:E-C-W!

Dreamer runs at RVD and connects with a dropkick to the ladder, which sends it into RVD’s face. RVD’s legs untangle themselves and he falls onto the canvas in a heap.

The spotlight roams around the pods again and this time it’s MVP that is set free. Dreamer is waiting in the middle of the ring with his trusty kendo stick at the ready. MVP climbs through the ropes and Dreamer swings at him. MVP sidesteps the attack and counters with a huge punch with his chain wrapped hand, connecting with Dreamers jaw. Dreamer’s eyes roll into the back of his head and he instantly drops to the mat. MVP goes for the cover. 1... 2... Late kick out by Dreamer. MVP runs the ropes and pauses in front of Dreamer.

MVP/Crowd: Ballin’!

MVP hits Dreamer with the Ballin’ Elbow and follows up with multiple stomps. MVP grabs the ladder and lays it on the floor in the middle of the ring. He drags Dreamer over to it and picks him up. MVP sets up for the Playmaker, and he hits it! He goes for another pin. 1... 2... 3! Dreamer is eliminated.

RVD finally wakes up and he gets to his feet. MVP sees him and grabs the championship belt to defend himself. RVD approaches him and kicks MVP with a Van Daminator into the belt, which collides with MVP’s skull and knocks him out. RVD quickly goes to the top rope and hits a Five Star Frog Splash. He goes for the pin. 1... 2... 3! MVP is now eliminated.

The spotlight alternates between the last two pods once again, and this time “The Animal” Batista is freed from his pod. He immediately charges at the now standing Foley, with his fire extinguisher raised, and swings at him. Foley narrowly avoids getting hit by ducking and counters with a quick jab to Batista’s mid section. Batista drops the extinguisher after getting hit.

Foley follows up with a clubbing blow to the back of Batista’s head, but is then hit by a roundhouse kick from RVD. RVD jumps to the top rope and lands a moonsault on Foley. He goes for the cover. 1... 2... No! Foley gets his shoulder up in the nick of time. All the while, Christian is still in the relative safety of his pod, chuckling away. Batista stands up and starts banging on the glass of Christian’s pod. Batista mouths “I’m gonna kill you” to Christian. Christian stops laughing.

Foley and RVD stand up and Foley immediately grabs him with a mandible claw. RVD struggles for a few seconds, but eventually passes out. Batista walks up to Foley and whips him into the ring ropes. On the return, Batista picks him up and delivers a massive spinebuster. Batista walks over to the ropes and does his thumbs up, thumbs down taunt. The spotlight is moving once again and finally it’s Christian’s turn to get into the match. The referee is having some trouble unlocking the door.

RVD gets up once again and grabs the discarded fire extinguisher. He climbs up the turnbuckles and gets on top of Christian’s pod. Just as the referee unlocks the door of the pod, RVD sprays the foam from the extinguisher through the chain-linked roof of the pod.Christian stumbles out of the pod while trying to clear his vision. Batista is already waiting and charges right straight for him. Christian sees Batista a second too late and he gets hit with a huge spear into the pod and through the glass to the other side.

Crowd: Holy Shit! Holy Shit!

Neither man is showing any signs of life after crashing through the glass.

RVD throws away the extinguisher and picks up Christian’s steel chair. He slams it into Foley’s head. Foley staggers backwards and then point to his chin, pleading for another chair shot. RVD raises the chair, about to swing it again, when Foley pulls out a kendo stick that he had behind his back and hits RVD in the stomach with it.

Foley quickly follows up with a DDT and another mandible claw, making RVD pass out. Foley goes for the pin. 1... 2... 3! RVD has been eliminated. We’re now down to just Batista, Christian, and Foley.

Foley goes over to Batista on the steel outside the ring and drags him to his feet. Foley whips him into the chain wall and Batista bounces off it, going to ground. Foley rolls Batista under the bottom rope and goes for a pin. 1... 2... 3! Batista has been eliminated. It’s now down to the two rivals, Foley and Christian.

Christian somehow gets to his feet and picks up the fire extinguisher. He blind-sides Foley with it, rendering him unconscious. Christian grabs the championship belt and places it under Foley’s head. Christian then gets the steel chair and hits a con-chair-to!

A big smile comes across Christian’s face and he rips the shirt off of Foley. He then throws Foley over the top rope, onto the hard steel. Christian reaches into the top of his tights and pulls out a set of handcuffs. Christian drags Foley over to the chain wall and handcuffs him to it.

Christian then gets a kendo stick and goes to town on Foley’s exposed back. He hits him over, and over, and over again. Welts start appearing on Foley’s bare skin. All of a sudden, Tiffany shows up at ringside with a barbed wire baseball bat and hands it to Christian through the chains. The fans are really showing how much they hate Tiffany!

Christian gladly takes the bat and takes a few practice swings at Foley’s back. While Christian is playing up to the crowd, Foley finds a way out of the handcuffs and hits Christian with a low blow while he’s still staring at Tiffany. Foley throws Christian and the bat into the ring and climbs into it himself. Foley picks up Christian and hits him with a double arm DDT, ON TOP OF THE BARBED WIRE BASEBALL BAT!!! Foley goes for the pin while the crowd is blowing the roof off the arena with their cheering. 1... 2... 3!!!

Winner and still ECW Epics Champion: MICK FOLEY!

What Bobby Lashley Means to the Future of TNA

Bobby Lashley has signed with TNA and is rumored to be appearing at TNA's PPV Victory Road.

We saw him make an appearance early this year at Lockdown and the following episode of Impact.

The question now is: what does this mean for TNA and their future?

1. Will Bobby stay face or go heel?

Lashley was a face with the WWE and was great at it, even though the fans said he was the next Goldberg, he still was good and exciting to watch. If Lashley comes back as a face then he will be in title contention effective immediately.

Lashley will turn into a powerhouse with them and will be the top guy to go to in the company months after he arrives.

If he would to turn heel then it would get interesting, because I have never seen Bobby as a heel and wonder what it would be like for him. I want to see how he takes that role and that heat in the wrestling world.

It might be different from the heat in the MMA world. I doubt I will see Bobby as a heel but TNA can do what WWE hasn't and surprise us.

2. Will we see Lashley vs Angle?

This a match that I have wanted to see ever since Lashley came in. I watched WWE Confidential and saw Lashley training at a facility that Kurt Angle used during his Olympic years.

It is going to be good to see someone keep up with Angle's style of wrestling. I expect to see Angle vs. Lashley at Bound for Glory in the main event for the TNA World Championship.

3. Will Lashley bring the MMA style to TNA?

As I listen to the radio show for Bobby Lashley, I heard Dixie Carter will help further his MMA career any possible way she can.

I think we might see matches with Bobby like we saw with Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle in the MMA-type matches. Bobby Lashley is a freak of nature and will show it in the wrestling ring as he did in MMA.

4. How long will Lashley be around?

I know that he will work four days out of the month plus the PPV, so that is five days out of the month and I doubt he will do house shows. He will be working to make it in the MMA and one day UFC.

How is that going to work?

I am guessing he signed a short deal and if his MMA doesn't get going, which I doubt will happen, he will wrestle full-time.

If MMA works out like I know it will, then I see him going to UFC and going against guys like Lesnar, Mir and maybe even Kimbo but that's a big maybe.

I see Lashley helping them out in the near future but how long will that be, that is something we will have to sit back and watch.

Conclusion: I expect to see Lashley dominate in TNA and go forward with his MMA career as he will get the better of both deals because if one doesn't work out then he has the other.

I see TNA growing from this and MMA but at the end of all this Lashely like his size wins BIG.

Has It Been Forgotten in History: Lesnar Vs Holly Royal Rumble 2004

When I saw Hardcore Holly neck hit the mat that night on SmackDown, I knew it was broken.

A man doesn't give up, and Holly didn't on that night. He showed he was a man by finishing the match with a broken neck. He lost the match but won my respect that night.

Hardcore Holly was out for a year until he came back after being out for a little over a year with a mission, get back at Brock Lesnar after his neck had been broken thanks to Lesnar's lack of awareness in the ring, and how he had Holly positioned.

This was a match was highly anticipated as they set it up for the Royal Rumble in the coming weeks.

Holly's push for the WWE Championship was long overdue as I was hoping they would have put the title around him, even though I knew it wasn't going to happen.

I got to see the serious side of Holly, and some thought that he truly looked like he was going to win the title with the run he was on when he came back.

I go back to when Lesnar broke Holly's neck. How reckless can one man be?

He could have killed someone like he almost did with A-Train.

I have to say that Brock is one of the most reckless wrestlers in history.

Brock Lesnar is the "Biggest Flop in Wrestling History". Period.

I enjoyed the match at the Royal Rumble even though it should have went a little longer.

Holly showed the "IT" factor that so few superstars have in a mach. It was all to make it great, but to me, it was a fill in title match because it was so short.

I was hoping the WWE would do the unexpected but they were so high on a guy that was going to leave a few months from then.

I would have loved to see the styles of Holly vs Guerrero at No Way Out. I'd love to see something like that, because no matter who would have won out of the two, we were going to see a great match at WrestleMania XX. WE could see the underdog beat the odds on the biggest stage of them all in the greatest building ever.

"What could have been" is the question now and we wil never know.

In the lead up to WrestleMania XX, it was so tremendously hyped. Yet in the end the best matches were the two World Championship matches. They were supposed to help build hype so people would watch the under card matches. Yet, because they were so bad, it really wasn't needed.

The match at the Royal Rumble was to show how dominate Brock was to set up his match at No Way Out.

Hardcore Holly is one of those guys who deserved a World title, and you might think I am crazy, but it's true; he truly earned it.

If you think about it, Chavo Guerrero was an ECW Champion. Really?

Great Khali was a World Heavyweight Champion. Really?

My point is that most of you already know that some of these guys are not deserving of the title, yet people that are don't get it.

I would have been happy with Hardcore winning the ECW Championship because that title would fit him.

The WWE and how it works would rather put a title around Chavo, and don't get me wrong I like Guerrero, but Chavo is not World Champion material.

Great Khali as World Champion? Enough said.

Fact is that this could have built up a great rivalry between these two into No Way Out and adding a third party.

The matches that Holly was in were great, he is a ring general, and he has earned the chance to hold the World Title strap.

Holly, who had been with the company for 15 years was released in late 2008.

This a match was one that I will never forget because it showed a lot of toughness from a well deserving Champion in Hardcore Holly.

Future Championship Wrestling Files: Joe Hennig

I've been keeping my eye on "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig's son Joe and I am very happy with what I've seen.

Joe brings that face factor where you can root for him, but he also has a heel factor; he is what you call a middle man in wrestling because he can easily switch back and forth to face or heel, in my eyes.

Joe has a lot to work on, clean up the moves he learned from his father, etc., I saw a couple things that looked just like his father, but the kick from the top rope was not that great due to his height.

Being the son of Mr. Perfect is a bill that is hard to live up to, and I wish I could see Joe do that, but he needs to polish his moves and improve his mic skills—he's a decent talker, not great.

I am glad to see that he is taking his dad's move set, though, because he can be a great wrestler and will grow in time. With that "Perfect" move set, he can go far.

Joe has been rumored to be called up and join Randy Orton's Legacy faction. I honestly would like to see him as a face and built into a great wrestler as he works his way through the rankings. Hopefully in the next four to six years as a WWE or World Champion.

I want to see him start on the Raw or SmackDown roster, mostly the Raw roster.

I would also like him to start a second and third generation group, to rival Randy Orton's Legacy. I'd have Ted DiBiase join Joe's group and build on that if the WWE decided to ever go that route.

The talent Joe holds is good enough to have him called up to the big leagues and be a force in the ring on top of making his father Curt proud.

Joe talks a good talk and knows how to speak to a crowd; he has energy, and that's what you need in wrestling and on the mic because it's not like you come talk and leave of course.

Joe, at his level, brings himself to another level when he talks.

When I watch his match, Joe turns up the heat and energy from the get go; Hennig works to better the match when you see moves that his father used to do.

I like the way he carries himself because, to me, when I watch, he seems to know where he is, at all times. That's how you develop yourself to become a ring general like that of Triple H.

I like what Joe brings to FCW overall and what he will bring to the WWE when he's called up. I see him as a Intercontinental Champion in a year to two and a World or WWE Champion in three to four.

Joe Hennig will never be his father, but can try.

The WWE has had there chances pushing certain wrestlers and never got it, these wrestlers have had a great start but then left for dead. These three people that I have selected are just a few of many that should have been put on the map and been World Champions if they were put to good use. The charcter, person, skills, and many other things could have made this person so big in the wrestling world but never got that jump start. The picture symbolies the biggest stage for wrestling Madison Square Garden and being the main event for a superstar that knows he has made it to the top.

Greatest Wrestler Ever: Shawn Michaels

It started with 64 wrestlers and ended with the Heart Break Kid, Shawn Michaels standing alone.

It was one-sided victory as Shawn Michaels won the percentage 67.6% to Bret Hart's 32.4%, and in the single voting HBK beat Hart 11-9. Shawn Michaels, in B/R Wrestling Community, will be dubbed "Greatest Wrestler Ever," like it or not.

This is why he is the Greatest Wrestler Ever and a recap from last article:

Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels is the "Heart Break Kid," the "Show-stopper," the "Headliner," the "Main Event," the "Icon," and, most importantly, "Mr. WrestleMania" himself. He is arguably the greatest wrestler in history.

Shawn has made a career out of how he says, "Kicking your teeth right down your throat."

Michaels is arguably the greatest wrestler, entertainer, and to me "Commissioner." You can say he has the best finisher, is one of the best talkers, and greatest WWE Superstar.

He carried the load of a company which it could have felt like the world when WCW was beating WWE back in 1995-97. He did something not any other wrestler could do, Shawn stuck with the company when his friends were leaving and carried that company on his back and to me made it better than WCW was.

Shawn making his return after leaving after WrestleMania 14 and returning in 2002 at SummerSlam was a highlight in my life because it marked a great return of Shawn Michaels and the moments he has left after risking injury again to come back and done what he has done is amazing.

Shawn Michaels career will be 25 years in the making on Oct. 16, 2009.

Shawn is a four time Tag Team Champion with Marty Jannetty with the AWA and NWA Tag titles, he has one the Texas Tag and World title, and in the WWE he has one four Tag Team titles, three Intercontinental titles, one European title, three WWE Championship titles, and one World Heavyweight title.

He also is a two-time Royal Rumble winner, in '95 and '96, the fourth Triple Crown Winner, the first Grand Slam winner, and he holds the record for most Slammy Award wins in 1996 with six wins. He also won two in '97 and Match of the Year in 2008 with Ric Flair.

Shawn, on top of all that, has had, from Pro Wrestling Illustrated, nine Match of the Year awards: 1993-1996 and 2004-2008; and it might be 10 after his match with the Undertaker at WrestleMania 25. PWI has also had him in Feud of the Year in 2008 with Chris Jericho, Most Popular Wrestler back-to-back in 1995 and 96, ranked No. 1 in 1996, No. 10 in PWI Years in 2003, and is No. 33 with Marty Jannetty in Top 100 Tag Teams of the PWI Years in 2003.

Shawn, for Wrestler Observer Newsletter, has be named Top Babyface in 1996. He was given Feud of the Year twice, once in 2004 with Triple H and Chris Benoit and again in 2008 with Chris Jericho. He has won Match of the Year for his two Ladder matches in 1994 and 2008 against Razor Ramon and Chris Jericho respectively. He has a Tag Team of the Year award with Marty Jannetty in 1989.

He was voted into the Wrestler Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame in 2003.

Shawn has done so much in the ring, but out of the ring is where he has really won the battle. This is because of his past he lived and then becoming a born-again Christian. What he has done for his church and the younger kids he talks to also improves his case.

The Positive That Came Out of WCW

I always hear what killed WCW or what was done to kill WCW, but I have thought of a couple things that came out of a great company at one time before it was bought by WWE in 2001.

There are a few things that might catch your eye if they haven't already about this company and the positive side of it.

When you think of World Championship Wrestling, you think of something that could have been great if it was done right, I think we can all agree on that subject.

Here are the five top things to me that made WCW positive.

5. There was a good Tag Team Division

World Championship Wrestling was full of them, tag teams I mean, and they had one of the strongest tag divisions I had ever seen. No matter if it was the start of WCW or the end, they had a tag team division.

The Anderson brothers, The Briscos, Rock "N" Roll Express, The Midnight Express, Varsity Club, The Freebirds, Steiner Brothers, Doom, Hollywood Blonds, Nasty Boys, Harlem Heat, Outsiders, Kronik and The Insiders were some of the greats in the WCW who would also hold the Tag Team titles.

The teams came by the dozen when you look at teams, even though there were those factions the teams came that company together.

4. History was made

Ron Simmons became the first African-American World Champion in wrestling history and much deserved as he would work his way quietly to becoming the World Champion beating Vader.

Simmons is one of the greats in the business but is under-appreciated for what he did in wrestling. The man made history in WCW when racial champions were questionable at that time WCW would make history.

Simmons would go on to work in the WWE but never got that attention he did in WCW. That is why Simmons was a true WCW superstar and became only a tag team wrestler after his Nation of Domination run.

3. Deserving World Champions

Some of the wrestlers in the company won the World title and much deserved to do it because of the hard work they put into there career.

Diamond Dallas Page, Booker T, Chris Benoit, Sting, Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, and Randy Savage were guys that might have never held a World title or held one in another company but got another shot or got their first shot.

I think one of the best and decorated WCW World Champions was Booker T.

2. Cruiserweight Division

Some of the greatest little men in WCW held the title or showed us why even though Eric didn't care much for them, but the Cruiserweight's were something to watch.

Brian Pillman, Rey Mysterio, Dean Malenko, X-Pac, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, Juventud Guerrera, Billy Kidman, Psychosis, Lance Storm, Chavo Guerrero, Shane Helms, and Elix Skipper were some of the high flyers who excited us watching WCW.

Some of them became Multi-Cruiserweight Champions and held that title with honor as it was their World Championship.

1. Bill Goldberg

No matter what it was that brought Bill Goldberg in, this man was built right. He was the perfect wrestler in a company that needed one.

Goldberg was one of those guys you had to tune in and watch each week to see what he would do next and I was one of those people.

Bill was on top of his game not even a year into his career were he won the World Championship nearly a year into his career at a 108-0.

If there was one man that truly beat every man on a wrestling roster, it was Bill Goldberg. Goldberg held only six losses when WCW was bought by the WWE.

I think in my opinion Goldberg was the best thing that came out of WCW. Period.

Greatest Records and Streaks of Wrestling (Part Two)

The Pro Wrestling business has seen many great things; it has seen records been broken, streaks ended, and everything in between. Wrestling has seen some great records been broken and some that might be in the near future. We have seen streaks ended and one that is possibly. This is part two of my list where I will talk about the streaks shown from the first part and talk about who and if possibloe can be broken. One record that was broken was seven WWE Championships that was broken by Triple H at No Way Out in 2009 where he made it eight and breaking the old record that was set by The Rock.

Edge: The Golden Wrestler of WWE

Edge is the golden wrestler of WWE. Period.

Ric Flair, Stone Cold, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Bruno Sammartino, Lou Thesz, Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, Undertaker, and you can add a name to this Hall of Fame list....Edge as being the greatest of all time.

The group above is a selected few who can say they are the greats of all time, and I think Edge is there. A man who 10 years ago was a lackey for the Ministry of Darkness is now on top of his game and on top of the WWE, even the wrestling world.

Edge is at the prime of his career right now, he has been since 2005, but it starts way back in 1999, where he would start on a journey to history.

Edge was in a group known as The Brood, who eventually got together with the Ministry of Darkness, but who would later split away from them. Edge was shining out of the group as he would be to me, watching that would be a big superstar one day.

Edge showed that there were great things to come when he won the Intercontinental Championship against Jeff Jarrett even though he lost it the next night at Fully Loaded.

Edge would win his first Championship that would end up being his first single title of many. He would end with five Intercontinental Championships.

Edge and Christian were becoming a tag team on the rise, ditching the goth gimmick and reeking of awesomeness when they won the WWE Tag Team titles at WrestleMania 2000 (or 16) as that would be their first Tag Team Championships of seven with Christian alone, in the TLC match that is still talked about today.

Edge would shine and steal the show with the spear that was heard around the world on Jeff Hardy off the ladder. They would face the Dudleys and Hardys in a TLC match that they won at SummerSlam 2000 and WrestleMania X7.

"For the benefit of those with flash photography" as they would set up a "five second pose", that the fans would either be insulted or amused by as Edge would show he had a charismatic side to his wrestling skills and that he would shine when the spotlight was on him.

Edge with Christian had solidify themselves as a great tag team as he would do in singles competition winning the King of the Ring in 2001, he would become a fan favorite as of this result.

Christian would turn on Edge and would duke it out for the Intercontinental Championship which was won and lost against him and then lost to Test were he couldn't regain the title.

Edge would win the United States Championship from Kurt Angle and beat Test to unify the Intercontinental and Unites States titles that year as that would be his first and only United States Championship title.

Edge was on a roll that kind of went unnoticed for a while, as he would even go as far as getting a WWE Championship match against what I like to call "The Flop of the WWE" Brock Lesnar but that's for another article for another day.

In 2002, Edge would shine his brightest as he would be on his way to great things as he became a go-to guy in the company without winning a WWE or World Championship.

Edge would win the WWE Tag Team Championships with his idol Hulk Hogan and would also win the titles with Rey Mysterio, as Rey would become a new superstar in the WWE at the time.

As Edge was on his way to the top of the ladder, he would injure his neck. That would keep him out for a year and another additional month due to a broken hand but would make his return and sudden impact when he got drafted to Raw and speared the former GM, Eric Bischoff.

Edge was back in a big way and the Intercontinental Championship would follow as he would beat Randy Orton in what I think is one of the greatest Intercontinental Championship matches in history. Edge would would also win the Tag Team Championships with Chris Benoit that same year.

Edge was moving up fast, beating some of the best the WWE had to offer, he was on his way back to where he was before he got hurt.

He was back on that road to history before he tore his groin in a non-wrestling incident that would keep him out for a while.

Edge would come back with a severe anger management problem, centered around his obsession for the World title, which he would be unable to win.

Edge returned with a purpose at the Royal Rumble but would come up just short of winning, but he would win the Money in the Bank as WrestleMania 21 was dubbed "The Rise of the Rated-R Superstar," he would become the first Mr. Money in the Bank. Edge would hold the briefcase close to WrestleMania before cashing it in at New Years Revolution.

Edge was for the first time a deserving WWE Champion, it was crazy to see his growth from what he was to what he became that very night; it was an awesome thing to see.

Edge would lose the title the next month but would start a rivalry that would all come together in his hometown where he would lose his title in one of the best TLC matches I had every seen.

During that period of that rivalry when he was Champion thanks to his live sex celebration (with Lita) with a awesome rating he would call himself the "Most Watched WWE Champion in Five Years" and also won the WWE title for a second time by pinning RVD.

Rated RKO was born because of Triple H and Shawn Michaels helping Cena retain the title and would join forces to beat DX.

Edge and Randy Orton would become World Tag Team Champions during the time beating the legends of Flair and Piper and would retain them by winning by DQ against DX at New Year's Revolution.

Edge would break his jaw during a Money in the Bank qualfier against RVD but would come up short after he was taken out of the match when Jeff Hardy jumped off the ladder and landed on the one Edge was laying on. Edge would not be Mr. Money in the bank for a second time...or would he?

Edge would beat Mr. Kennedy to win the Money in the Bank briefcase and would cash it that Friday Night on SmackDown right after a Steel Cage match with Batista, a beating by Mark Henry and Edge spearing Undertaker for the 1, 2, 3 and his first World Heavyweight Championship.

Edge would feud with Batista and beating him three straight PPV's and would go on to face Kane but before the show he would tear his pectoral muscle and would be out giving up his title.

He made his return at Survivor Series by helping Batista win against Undertaker that would come full circle with a Triple Threat match against Taker and Batista.

He would win thanks to the help of the Edge Heads (Hawkins and Ryder) and would become a two-time World Champion and would hold his fourth World/WWE title overall.

La Familia was born when Vickie and Edge "relationship" was made public and with Chavo and the Edge Heads together would dominate SmackDown as Rey would be the victim of the family losing at the Royal Rumble and No Way Out.

Edge was undefeated at WrestleMania before losing his record and title to the Undertaker at WrestleMania 24.

Edge would lose to the Undertaker by the choke from Taker but then Taker was stripped due to the violent move he used on Edge.

Edge would face Undertaker at One Night Stand (now Extreme Rules) and "retired" Taker, winning his World title back for a third time and his fifth overall World/WWE title.

Edge would go on Raw a week after the draft and would gloat about the lack of Championships on Raw until Batista came out and unknowingly help CM Punk win the World title.

Edge would feud with the returning Undertaker and Triple H for a few months and would bring the rivalry all the way were he would "be sent to hell" by the Undertaker and wouldn't return until Survivor Series 2008.

He returned in grand fashion and sported a grizzly beard look as he would be inserted into the title match by Vickie and winning the WWE Championship for the third time and holding his sixth overall WWE/World title.

The title reign was short-lived when Jeff Hardy went from stuntman to Champion and Edge would fall as he was the one who got pinned in the match.

At the Royal Rumble he would regain his title and make it seven overall WWE/World and his fourth WWE Championship thanks to help from Matt Hardy unknowingly after a chair shot to Jeff from Matt.

Edge went into the Chamber as the favorite to hold the title to some but would be the first to be elminated, as he would lose the title as Triple H would win the title.

Edge was upset and was lost until later that night were he took out Kofi and inserted himself in the match and would pin the Champion at the time Cena and pinning Rey for his fourth World title and eight overall WWE/World title.

Edge would lose the title at WrestleMania 25 and would not regain the title until Big Show helped him in a Last Man Standing match and making it his fifth time and ninth WWE/World title.

Edge would lose at Extreme Rules and wouldn't regain his title or after CM Punk cashed in won that night and would return with a pin on Jeff the next night in the triple threat match.

Edge complained to Teddy Long about not being a part of the PPV and would be inserted to the Tag Team title match with Chris Jericho, where he would win his 14th Tag Team Championship.

Edge would get hurt at a house show and will be out until the Royal Rumble in 2010 and the question is now how many titles total will he hold before his career is over, as he has won 29 titles.

My guess that he will get to 40, Edge is on top of his game still and I would love him to win the Royal Rumble for the first time and go to WrestleMania as the hunter not the hunted.

Edge has come so far from sitting in a sea of people at WrestleMania VI watching Hogan vs. Warrior to being on top of the wrestling world. Edge is a sure Hall of Famer and will be the head of the class the year he goes in.

Wrestling has seen some great records been broken and some that might be in the near future. We have seen streaks ended and one that is possibly. I am hear to show you some of the streaks and records that have stood and some that have been broken but are still recongized today. We have seen some of the great record and streaks and wrestling and this is my list of the top record and streaks. This part one of a two part series i will talk about which are possible to be broken or surpassed. The Rock (above) held the WWE Championship seven times a record that had been broken at No Way Out as Triple H made the record eight.

Hulk Hogan: Everything Wrestling Wanted and Needed

Hulk Hogan is the greatest of all time. Period.

Hulk Hogan to me is what made wrestling what it is today, he revolutionized the wrestling world.

Some would say Flair, HBK, Hart, or Austin are the greatest but when you think about being the greatest of all-time you have to bring in the biggest factor, who had the biggest impact on the wrestling world and that was Hulk Hogan.

Hogan today has been hated by many fans in the wrestling world and for what, he has done nothing but put his body on the line for the people of the wrestling world.

Hulk Hogan is everything we truly wanted wrestling to be. If it wasn't for Hogan, I am damn sure there wouldn't be half the locker room in WWE, TNA, ROH or any other company in the wrestling business.

In Madison Square Garden, on January 23, 1984, Hulk-A-Mania was born as you can hear the crowd cheering as Gorilla Monsoon said "Hulk-A-Mania is here," it gives me goosebumps when I first heard that because you knew you witness something great.

"Train, say your prayers and take your vitamins" is something Hogan would say all the time along with believing in oneself and the crazy thing is that is what we did as fans. We the fans lived through Hulk Hogan, we wanted to be him.

Hogan was our American Hero, he was everything the fans wanted and some say the world wanted a figure in wrestling that made everything good in the world.

"Real American" played and the crowd and the kids watching at home would go crazy, the roof was blowing on off its hinges when Hulk Hogan came out. He would rip the t-shirt and feed off the crowd as we feed off of Hogan.

Hogan would rip off the shirt and the crowd would go insane as the kids like me would want to rip off my shirts like that but my mom would punish me if I did.

Hogan would beat everyone, he was the superman of wrestling, he beat Orton, Piper, Bundy, Andre, Orndoff, Muraco, Hercules, and Funk in the process of four years of beating everyone in the WWE.

WrestleMania after WrestleMania you would see Hogan walk in Champion and walk out Champion even when you thought against all odds he couldn't.

Hogan held the title for four years and 13 days (1,474 days). He would still be the top guy even though he didn't have the title. Hogan is in third for the longest reign behind Backlund and Sammartino.

Hogan would beat Savage and win his second title and would go on to hold the title for about a year even feuding with one of the best in the business, Earthquake.

Hogan was getting a little older with the times and would lose the title at WrestleMania against Warrior in one of the greatest matches in WrestleMania history.

Hogan still held the standard that no one still hasn't cross to this day. Hogan was a champion again to more times beating Slaughter and Yokozuna at WrestleMania.

Hogan left the WWE and went to WCW but things didn't change until he turned heel and became the leader of the New World Order (nWo). Hogan had turned heel but to some was cheered by the loyal fans.

Hogan would win a total of six WCW World Championships and would turn to the old faithful yellow and red. Hogan was getting older but the fans still cheered night in and out for him.

Hogan and Vince Russo had a bad fall out that would really ruin WCW and Hulk would leave WCW.

Hogan to me at the end of WCW was mistreated by Vince Russo who basically ruined WCW. Hogan to me at the time was still the man like I think he is today.

Hulk Hogan for the first time since 1993 returned to the WWE and what a way to come back as he would return with the NWO but at WrestleMania X8 we should that we believed in Hogan as like me the crowd went crazy for Hogan and Hogan at the end of the match really won over the crowd.

Hogan the next night would get nearly a 10-minute ovation and we all knew that after nearly 20 years after Hulk Rules we knew Hulk Still Rules. Hogan would become the Undisputed Champion and would get a little run but losing against the Undertaker.

Hulk Hogan has been part of this company to this day but I still think that us the fans want but what admit it. Hogan has been apart of wrestling and always will be apart of wrestling and if you don't like him then you must not like wrestling.

Hogan is the Michael Jordan and Babe Ruth of wrestling because they all revolutionized the sport or business they where in. Hogan is a one and only person and no one and I mean no one will get close to what Hulk Hogan was and is.

The negative about him today is something I ignore because it's something that will not tarnish what he did in the wrestling business. Hogan to me is one of a kind and I am thankful to be around when Hulk Hogan was around because he is someone that you can replicate or anything like that.

Hogan is the man that made wrestling what it is today. Period.

Heel or Face: Triple H

Triple H is a corner stone in the WWE and he has been for nearly a decade. Hunter has been the most hated person to the fans for about four years but has been a top face for almost four years.

Triple H is on top of the wrestling world and anyone that gets in his way he took and takes down as he has beaten everyone that was put in front of him.

Triple H started out as a heel in the WWE, known at the time as The Connecticut Blueblood.

He was pushed heavily when he started in the WWE and did great as a up-and-coming superstar in the WWE. Triple H would win the Intercontinental Championship and hold it for four months.

Triple H was coming into his own around 1997 where he was being well known around the business but not as a major star but working his way up there.

Triple H was part of a backstage group called "The Kliq", he would take part in the incident that is still talked about today in Madison Square Garden. Even though of the punishment he received he would go on to win the 1997 King of the Ring.

He would continue his run as a heel with Shawn Michaels, as they would be the team of DX and would shine as he got a run as the European Champion. Triple H had dropped the whole Blueblood gimmick and made his way to the top of the ladder.

Triple H and DX turned in a face because the fans liked DX, Triple H would become a Intercontinental Championship once again as he would feud with the Nation of Domination.

Triple H would go from the NOD to the Corporation team and would continue his feud with The Rock and the feud would continue until WrestleMania.

Triple H turned heel and turned on DX as he would join the Corporation and work his way into the WWE Championship scene.

Triple H would become Champion at the expense of Mick Foley and would dominate the wrestling world for years to come. Triple H would "retire" Foley, beat Vince, Rock, Austin, Jericho, Show, Taker and everyone in between.

Triple H was dominating the wrestling world in McMahon-Helmsley Faction. Triple H was the biggest heel in the business at the time.

Triple H would be a heel for nearly two years until he got hurt and had a career-ending injury but would turn face and come back stronger than ever. He would win the Royal Rumble that year and would become the Champion at WrestleMania X8.

Triple H would feud with Hogan, Undertaker and Angle but as the year went on he would be brought to Raw and would come back with HBK only to turn on him and start one of the biggest rivalries in wrestling history.

Triple H was a heel and during the year of 2003-04 he would have been the most hated person in the world, he would become a World Heavyweight Champion and would beat the likes of RVD, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner, Kane, Booker T, and Goldberg.

Triple H dropped the title just to pick it back up as he would be the leader of Evolution and would dominate the wrestling world once again.

Triple H would become one of the greatest heels in wrestling history, but as time passed the fans wanted to cheer for Hunter and got there chance as him and Shawn Michaels would reform DX and feud with McMahons, the cheerleaders (Spirit Squad), and Rated RKO.

Triple H would injure his knee in a match against Rated RKO and would be put on the shelf and would be out after another tear to his knee.

Triple H came back as the King of Kings after a short feud with Booker T and would get involved in the title picture as he would feud with Randy Orton and would be way over with the fans. Hunter would go into 2008 losing at WrestleMania 24 and would later be drafted to SmackDown.

He would feud with Edge, Kozlov, Jeff Hardy and Khali and would dominate SmackDown as he put his stamp on the Hall of Fame.

Hunter would stay like he is today in the title picture and is one of the biggest faces in the WWE today. He has left his mark on the business and will be remembered as one of the greatest.

Heel Or Face: Shawn Michaels

This a new series I am starting that is called Heel or Face. I will pick a superstar everyday and go through their career as a Heel and a Face and you will decide if they were a better Heel or Face.

Today, I start with Shawn Michaels a man that has been on both sides of the spectrum and been Champion on both sides of the spectrum.

Shawn Michaels has been in the business for almost 25 years and has made a name for himself as that why he is dubbed "Mr. WrestleMania, "The Main Event," and "The Headliner".

HBK started his career as everyone does, a jobber, he was very good at what he did and got a lot of respect early in his career. Shawn has worked back and forth as being a Heel and a Face through out his old career.

After having a few years under his belt he got his name established and became a premier star in pro wrestling.

Shawn wrestled with Marty Jannetty as "The Midnight Rockers;" they wrestled in the AWA and WWE as they team grew as the fan base for the tag team.

In 1989 the "Midnight Rockers" became one of the top teams in the wrestling business and Shawn was shinning out of the two and showed it in the ring.

Michaels and Jannetty teamed for six years but in 1991, Shawn took the step from face to heel as he turned his back on Jannetty on a episode of the Barber Shop.

This was one of the most shocking turns in WWE and wrestling history and changed the persona of Shawn Michaels and became "The Boy Toy."

"The Boy Toy" Shawn Michaels was becoming one of the top heels in the business at the time with the cockiness and even from "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig adopted the name "Heart Break Kid" (HBK) and would become one of the most athletic superstars in the business at the time.

Shawn would got a shot at Bret Hart and the Intercontinental Championship but would lose in the first-ever Ladder Match.

Michaels would win the Intercontinental Championship from the British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith on a November edition of Saturday Night's Main Event.

Shawn would get a title shot for the WWE Championship at the 1992 Survivor Series but would lose to Hart.

Hart was a main event wrestler and it showed as he would get involved in high profile matches after his WWE Championship lose to Bret Hart.

Shawn would start a feud with Marty Jannetty as they would have that classic match on Raw in 1993, Shawn lose the title but would win it back thanks to Kevin Nash as he made his debut as Michaels' bodyguard.

Michaels would have to give up the Intercontinental Championship and let the title become vacant were Razor Ramon would in the title and would set up a rivalry between the two, as Shawn would face Razor Ramon from the match that stole the show and started the legacy of Mr. WrestleMania. Shawn would lose that match and then end the rivalry at SummerSlam in the rematch that Razor won also.

The match was Match of the Year and named a five-star match that year.

Shawn would win the Tag Team Championship with Diesel but would cost him the Intercontinental Championship that would ignite a feud between the two.

The rivalry ended at WrestleMania 12, where Diesel the WWE Champion would retain.

Michaels came back as a fan favorite in 1995 and would win his third Intercontinental Championship beating Jeff Jarrett.

Shawn was on his way until the Syracuse incident were he suffered a concussion and worked into a angle were he collapsed in the middle of the ring against Owen Hart.

Shawn Michaels would come back and win the 1996 Royal Rumble and would go on to face Bret Hart at WrestleMania 12.

Shawn would go on to face Bret Hart in a Ironman match where he would win in sudden death rules to get the only pinfall in the match and at that moment.

Shawn Michaels was the WWE Champion and was on top of the world and would stay the man all through 1996 until he lost the title at the Survivor Series.

But he would regain it in his hometown at the 1997 Royal Rumble against the man he lost it to: his former bodyguard, Sycho Sid.

Shawn was injured again and would have to vacate the title and on a dubbed Thursday Raw Thursday he would make the famous "I lost my smile" speech.

Michaels came back that summer and would win Tag Team gold with Stone Cold and would end up turning heel after being the ref in Undertaker vs. Bret Hart match were he called it right down the line, even with Hart spitting on him.

Shawn got mad at the fact the fans turned on him when they think he turned on Taker. Shawn Michaels would turn heel again and would let the people know what was on his mind.

Shawn and Triple H would hold the company on its feet with the group as he would beat everyone and become the first Grand Slam Champion.

Shawn as always in the middle of everything but he would be the center once again against Bret Hart at Survivor Series in Bret's hometown. Shawn would in a real life double cross that was bigger in wrestling, Shawn would walk away as the WWE Champion.

Shawn would go on to the Royal Rumble against Undertaker and win but would injure his back and would get to WrestleMania to face Stone Cold, losing the title to him in the main event.

Shawn's career seem to be over, HBK was on his way out the door as Stone Cold had taken the torch and ran with it. Michaels came back as commissioner in 1998 and as a heel at the time.

Michaels turned face again and re-joined DX but not as a wrestler. Shawn would get fired and then pass the torch to Mick Foley.

He would ref The Rock and Triple H at SmackDown. Shawn would stay off television for a while and would make his return.

Shawn Michaels came back in all his glory, Shawn was on a mission to prove that he still had it and it would be against his great friend (but not at the time) Triple H.

It was SummerSlam were Shawn proved after four years absent would come back as first a member of the nWo and then would help Triple H choose Raw, but it was Triple H that would attack Shawn and start a rivalry like no other.

Shawn would face Triple H in a series of matches including winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series in a Elimination Chamber match and would be the top guy once again.

Shawn was the man once again and he would be the man up until December when Triple H won back his title and would feud with Triple H until Royal Rumble.

Shawn still had it and someone that had grew up to him would be one of his best matches at WrestleMania 19. These two put on a clinic and a wrestlers dream and stole the show the only way he knew how.

Shawn would go back to the ongoing feud with Triple H in 2003 and it would all come together in a match won by Royal Rumble winner Chris Benoit.

Shawn and Triple H would go at it in a Hell in the Cell at Bad Blood and would be a classic match that Triple H would win, but again HBK did what he did best and that was steal the show.

HBK would come back at the Royal Rumble 2005 and eliminate Kurt Angle that would ignite a match at WrestleMania 21 that would become Match of the Year and one of my favorite matches.

The Rockers teamed up during that time in a reunion match and Sherri would get involved in the storyline also. Angle won, but HBK did it again.

Shawn would feud with Hassan and Daviari that would set up a plea to Hulk Hogan to come back and be his partner in where it would last and go strong all the way until July 4, 2005 where Shawn would turn heel for that month that was built up for Hogan/Michaels. Hogan would win that match, but HBK to me was the real winner.

Shawn would fight Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 22 in a redemption match for Shawn to get back at Vince and would send him straight to hell. HBK winning that match would be an understatement, he whooped McMahon's ass.

Shawn would go on and wrestle the McMahons and it would end up forcing DX get to get back together in one of my favorite moments of mine.

They would face the McMahons and would beat them until Rated RKO came into the picture and the rivalry would come to a halt when Triple H hurt his knee. That would be a blessing for HBK because he would headline WrestleMania 23 against John Cena.

Cena would win in one hell of a match, but HBK did what many say he couldn't like he did years ago but proved the world wrong.

Michaels would get in a feud with Randy Orton and at Judgment Day he would punted in the head and would take time off until he returned in October, as he would be in the main event title picture once again getting back at Randy Orton.

Shawn would come back stronger than ever as he would go into 2008 with something big coming his way. Ric Flair was being put into the Hall of Fame and Shawn Michaels was the one that made the announcement.

Flair next match that he would lose would be his last, and at WrestleMania 24 HBK retired the greatest to ever grace a ring and putting his stamp into going into the Hall of Fame one day.

HBK would feud with Batista and Chris Jericho and Jericho and him would have classic matches throughout the whole year.

Shawn would turn heel some what with being hired by JBL but that would end at No Way Out and HBK would set himself for WrestleMania 25 against Undertaker.

Undertaker and HBK would have a 45-minute match with Taker coming out on top. It was one of the greatest losses in wrestling history.

It is greatly noted that Shawn Michaels has been a great Heel and Face and has had moments to remember him by.

Shawn is the one of not the greatest ever to grace a ring and this to me will be hard because I like to cheer for him and like to see him as a heel.

Greatest Wrestler Ever: Shawn Michaels Vs Bret Hart

The end of the tournament I started months ago comes to an end, as the Finals are upon us; and it was voted by you that two familiar foes will duke it out one last time for the B/R Wrestling Community title of "Greatest Wrestler Ever."

The Semi-Finals were very successful. We had 107 people who voted, and here are the final standings:

HBK-Hart—33.6 percent

HBK-Undertaker—30.8 percent

Flair-Hart—18.7 percent

Undertaker-Flair—16.8 percent

At the end of the voting, it was close, but some more than others agreed with me that HBK-Hart would match-up once again.

I will make a case for each one and you will decide who is truly the "Greatest Wrestler Ever."

Shawn Michaels

Shawn has made a career out of how he says, "Kicking your teeth right down your throat."

Michaels is arguably the greatest wrestler, entertainer, and to me "Commissioner." You can say he has the best finisher, is one of the best talkers, and greatest WWE Superstar.

Shawn Michaels career will be 25 years in the making on Oct. 16, 2009.

Shawn has done so much in the ring, but out of the ring is where he has really won the battle to me. This is because of his past he lived and then becoming a born-again Christian. What he has done for his church and the younger kids he talks to also improves his case.

Shawn is my favorite wrestler, and it shows because he is an inspiration to me in so many ways; and he is to thousands of other people. When he comes back he will be stronger than ever, like he is every time he comes back.

If I could choose, he would win this hands-down, but it's up to you.

Bret Hart

Bret Hart, on the other hand, has had a great career and it has been noted. Bret Hart has been in wrestling for 24 years and he has been at the top of his game since the day he started until the day it ended.

Bret Hart has won many championships by ending the match with a Sharpshooter that many say he made famous.

Hart is called the "The Hitman," "The Best There Is, The Best There Was and The Best There Ever Will Be," and "The Excellence of Execution" for a reason, and every time he got in the ring he showed you why he was.

Bret has won the Stampede Mid-Heavyweight, Tag, and World Championship, along with being inducted into the Stampede Wrestling Hall of Fame.

In the WWE, where he landed next, he would win the Tag Team titles twice, Intercontinental title twice, and become a five-time WWE Champion.

He won King of the Ring in 1991 and 1993, Royal Rumble winner in 1994, the Second Triple Crown Champion, and won three Slammy Awards in 1996—second to six by HBK. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006.

Bret Hart has been awarded many thing from Pro Wrestling Illustrated, like Comeback of the Year in 1997, Feud of the Year in 1993-94 with Jerry Lawler and Owen Hart respectively, Match of the Year in 1992, 1996, and 1997. Bret also won Most Hated Wrestler in 1997, Most Inspirational in 1994, and the PWI Stanley Weston Award in 2003.

Bret was ranked No. 1 in 1993 and 1994, No. 4 of the Top 500 Singles Wrestlers of the PWI Years in 2003, and No. 37 of the Top 500 Tag Teams of the PWI Years with Jim Neidhart in 2003.

Bret, from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, has won Five-Star Match in 1994 against Owen Hart and 1997 against Stone Cold. In 2006 he won Best DVD. In 2007 he won Best Pro Wrestling Book. Bret won Feud of the Year in 1993 with Lawler and 1997 with Austin. He was put into their Hall of Fame in 1996.

Bret Hart, at a time in wrestling history, was golden, but at the end some would seem it was about the money but those are how other people feel. I think he was a golden man in the wrestling business and showed it night in and night out.

These two in high-profile wrestlers have had their epic engagements. These matches came with Shawn getting the better end of it and he has won the big ones when they need to be won.

Shawn beat Bret at WrestleMania 12 in the Ironman Match that was won in Sudden Death Rules, and the most important match in history to me because of the backlash of it was in 1997 at Survivor Series where real life came into play.

These two have put it on the line night in and night out and had to fight in and out of the ring and came out on top with a new lease on life. These two deserve to be in this discussion.

The question now is simply: Hart or Michaels?
