I didn't write the article about A-Rod.

My roommate, who's a Red Sox fan, wrote that article for his amusement. I respect A-Rod for trying to clean up the tainted home run record of Barry Bonds.

I would like to take the time to apoloize to every baseball fan and the editor here on this website. Thank you for your time.

Please continue to read my articles.

Alex Rogriguez: Respectable Baseball Player

Hey, baseball fans.

Today, I'm here to clear my name.

You may have seen an article about Alex Rodriguez stating that he a joke to baseball.

Well, I'm telling everyone that I didn't write that article.

My roommate, who's a Red Sox fan, wrote that for his amusement.

In response, I'll write why A-Rod is the best player of all time. I apologize if the article you read offended you in any way.

He's the youngest player to reach the 500 home run mark. That's quite impressive, especially because he starting playing at the major league level at age 19.

Second, he has won three MVP awards. He can play two different positions (shortstop and third base), and competes at the all-star level at both positions.

And finally, he very well may clear the career home run record mark which is tainted by Barry Bonds.

A-Rod will be a Hall of Famer and break every offensive record there is to break.

Once again, I didn't write that last article. I apologize to every baseball fan and the editors here.

I'll make sure that it will never happen again. Thank you.

Clearing My Name: Alex Rodriguez is the Best Ever

Alex Rodriguez: The Best in Baseball, or Just a Joke?

Now that baseball season is almost here, I find myself having to ask this one question:

Is A-Rod the best player in the game?

I say no way. He’s nothing but a fake and a phony.

He embodies all that’s wrong in baseball, and here’s why...

Rodriguez hasn't won a World Series. Heck, he hasn’t even played in one. I don't care how many records he breaks, he simply should not be compared to the likes of Babe Ruth 'til he’s got that ring around his finger.

Remember, Ruth played at a time when teams hit for a combined total of 30 home runs.

It’s plain to see that Rodriguez has put himself ahead of the game and ahead of the team. Only a phony like A-Rod would opt out of his contract in the face of a crucial matchup. And when no team would pay him the $300 million he was looking for, he crawled back to the Yankees.

To make matters worse he’s been quoted as saying, "I want to be a Yankee."

Well, if you want to be a Yankee, why did you opt out? Babe Ruth is probably looking down on his team in shame, seeing the game he played with passion turned into a one-man circus.

For all these reasons I say A-Rod is far from baseball’s best player. Instead, he’s baseball’s biggest joke.

Who deserves the 10-year, $350 million contract? Babe Ruth or A-Rod? You be the judge.

My American League Picks

I know that it's too early and more deals are being done, but I'll make my up-to-date picks for the American League anyway.

A.L East will go to the defending champs, the Boston Red Sox. In my eyes, the Red Sox are loaded. From their lineup to their pitching, the Red Sox will dominate the A.L East.

A.L Central is a tough call. Everyone from the Tigers to the Royals made significant moves, but I have to pick the Tigers because they were able to acquire Cabrera and Willis. With two young pitchers in Verlander and Willis, the Tigers are an easy pick.

In A.L West, I believe the Angels, even without Orlando Cabrera, should still be a good team.

For the wild card, let's face it--the Yankees always make the playoffs. When I think they're out, the trade deadline comes and they make the move needed to make the playoffs.

Join me next time when I make my National League picks and update the American League picks when big moves are made. So PLAY BALL!
