Top 10 Statistical Surprises For the NBA

Sometimes, people look into the numbers way too much.

Stand up Mr. Hollinger.

But, looking through the leaders of the stats so far, there are a few things that make your eyebrows go a little higher.

So here are the surprises of each statistical category, by the end of the season it will all be different, but still, fun to look anyways:

A rookie is joint first in three-point percentage...Anthony Morrow, the other guy is Tayshaun Prince!

Roger Mason is leading in three-pointers made!

Tracy Mcgrady is 46th in ppg.

Stephen Jackson in the top 10 in assists, so is Chris Duhon.

Despite it all, Big Ben is still in the top 10 in blocks, as is Danny Granger.

A point guard is joint first in double-doubles. No prizes for guessing who.

Of all the guys who still own 100% free-throw percentage, Jose Calderon is the only player who's shot more than 10. In fact, he's shot 40.

Neither Kobe Bryant or Lebron James are in the top 30 for minutes-what does that tell you about the Lakers and Cavs?

Lebron James is leading in the points/assists/rebounds combined category. I know, it's not a surprise, but he's on my fantasy team and I'm proud.

Kevin Garnett is 19th in rebounding...we're all getting old.

Amare Stoudemire ranks 35th in rebounding.

Grant Hill is still in the top 50 of steals.

Jason Terry is the top bench scorer.

The rookie leader in rebounding isn't named Oden. Or Beasley. Or even Gasol. He's called Mbah a Moute.

If you find any more surprises...let me know! I'm sure there will be another one of these halfway through the season.

Also, a quick question that maybe someone can answer: During All-Star weekend, will Greg Oden be eligible for the rookie team or the sophomore team? I'm assuming it's rookie?

Thanks for reading!
