Washington Wizards: When Will "Agent Zero" Become the Wizards' Hero?

Gilbert Arenas is much needed in the Wizards' community. He has been out since the start of the season due to a knee injury that occurred last season. He has no timetable set for his return, but sources say February is a must.

If Gilbert Arenas doesn't come back soon, the Wizards' playoff chances are over. Two people can't carry a whole team, but "the other big three" could. The Lakers tore this team apart last night. With Gilbert there, would it have been a different story?

Would he score 50, maybe 60, again? We will never know. All we know is Agent Zero needs to step up and be a hero!

Wizards News: Will Butler and Arenas Be Back Soon?

Caron Butler was cleared for practice yesterday. He practiced and said "It felt good. It felt really good."

Tuesdy was the first time he had practiced in three weeks after suffering from a torn left labrum. Even though he is cleared for practice, coach Eddie Jordan said, "I think he's still day-to-day. I think he still needs one more practice in." So could Caron be back Thursday against Cleveland?

Gilbert Arenas on the other hand, on the same day that Butler took an apparent step forward in his recovery from a torn labrum, has apparently taken a step back. He did not work out after practicing last week on his surgically-repaired knee. Arenas was cleared to practice back on March 4th. Will Arenas even make it back to the team this year? Or will he be too "afraid" to help the team out?

The Tootsie Roll: Darrel Green's Key to Speed

Darrel Green was one of the best CBs in NFL history.

Playing for the Redskins from 1983-2002, he was nicknamed the "Ageless Wonder" as his outstanding abilities could not be limited even by the passing of time.

Green was considered one of the fastest ever to play in NFL. But how did he get to be so fast?

Tootsie Rolls!

If you ask Green, he’ll tell you that a Tootsie Roll tucked into your sock will make you faster. But does it really work?

I decided to put the Tootsie Roll to the test. I ran around my house 10 times at full speed without a Tootsie Roll in 2:42. My sister kept time with a stopwatch. Not bad, but what would my time be with the help of the Tootsie Roll?

The results were better. With the little candy tucked into my sock, I ran around the house 10 times in 1:58 seconds. That’s enough for me: Green’s trick works!

So does a Tootsie Roll in your sock make you faster? Try it for yourself, and let me know your results!

Wizards-Bucks: Caron Butler's 40 Points Not Enough for Washington

The Washington Wizards entered last night's game with the Milwaukee Bucks with winning on their mind, but were disappointed when they fell in overtime 105-102.

After the Wizards trailed at halftime 40-37, the game remained close into the second half. Antawn Jamison hit a 3 pointer early in the third quarter to keep he Wizards within two, but Royal Ivey responded with a three of his own to extend the lead.

At the end of the third quarter, the game was tied at 66. Caron Butler had 23 points after three quarters, and would finish the game with a career high 40 points. Deshawn Stevenson hit two clutch 3 pointers and the Wizards scored the last 11 points of the 4th quarter to tie the score at 90-90.

In OT, Caron Butler scored his 40th point by hitting a huge three with two seconds remaining to cut the deficit to one. With no timeouts, Washington had to foul quickly.

Stevenson fouled Mo Williams, who hit both free throws to put the Bucks up three. With 1.7 seconds left, Jamison threw up a wild three at the buzzer that fell way short, and secured the Bucks' 105-102 victory.

The Wizards, with the loss, have a 23-19 record, and are now three games behind Dwight Howard and the division-leading Orlando Magic. With home and away games versus Toronto, the Wizards will surely be focused on catching Orlando.

Chris Bosh, who has become a legitimate All Star, better bring his "A" game against Washington. The Wizards enter their match up with high emotion after dropping such a heartbreaker against Milwaukee.

Wizards-Grizzlies: Washington Looks to Continue Hot Month

The Washington Wizards were on a tear until they arrived in Cleveland.

Zyndrunas Ilgauskas was making every shot and ended up with a game-high 24 points, while LeBron James came through with 23 points.

Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison only scored 20 points combined, which was not enough to overcome a 16-point halftime deficit and definitely not enough for the Wiz Kidz to overcome the Cavs.

The Wizards, if they beat the Grizzlies tonight, will be 8-4 through the month of January and 23-18 overall.

In their previous meeting, the Wizards lost 124-118, but Jamison scored a season-high 41 points and Butler followed with 27 and a triple-double in the loss.

The Wizards go into this game with a three-game home win streak.

Can you believe that Butler nor Jamison were not contenders in the All-Star Game's starting lineup? Butler is averaging 21.5 points per game, only a half-point behind starter Dwight Howard, while also leading the league in steals per game.

Antawn on the other hand, is averaging 21.2 ppg, which is more than Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce.

Jamison is also second in double-doubles and rebounds per game, trailing only Howard in both categories.

Also, Brandon Haywood is in the midst of a career year and is outdoing Shaq in almost every category.

So is it a conspiracy against the Wiz Kidz? You decide.

All in all, expect to see the Wizards come out fighting and the Grizzlies come out defending.

Tonight we learn who has more stamina, speed, agility, and power: A Wizard or a Grizzly?
