ROUSH VS. JIMMIE JOHNSON- Edwards and Biffle Look to Spoil Johnson's Three-peat

And they're off. Three races down seven to go and its tight at the top of the standings. Jimmie Johnson leads Carl Edwards by ten points and Greg Biffle by thirty.

the Chase began with a bang at Loudon, New Hampshire as season long favorite Kyle Busch fell into a hole early due to mechanical issues. Carl Edwards ran up front for a while and finished a solid third. but to his dismay Mr. Chase himself finished one spot in front of him.

Jimmie Johnson had the lead in the late going but fell victom to a hard charging Greg Biffle. Yes, that's right! THE BIFF got his first win of the season.

Race No. 2 came at the Monster Mile. It seems like those eight wins burned up all of Kyle Busch's luck. He finished a disappointing 43rd due to engine failure.

Jimmie Johnson who had some gutsy pit strategy initiated by Chad Knaus, finished 5th. His Future teammate Mark Martin Had an impressive late race run to finish fourth.

Carl Edwards leading late lost due to a two tire pit strategy given to him by crew chief Bob Osborn. Edwards held on to a solid 3rd place finish. Matt Kenseth has a typical Kenseth race ran in the top ten and finished 2nd as he still hunts for his first win of the season. the man of the hour for the second week in a row is THE BIFF taking the lead from Matt Kenseth late in the race.

Somewhere over the Rainbow. That's right Kansas. what a finish. Matt Kenseth led very early in the race and then his car just fell off a little bit. Kenseth finished fifth. Jeff Gordon Needs to Race under the weather a little more often having one of his better runs of the season finishing a solid fourth.

The BIFF finished third by passing Jeff Gordon off the final corner. Carl does it again; he passed Jimmie Johnson on the Final lap. Carl held the throttle wide open into turn three, on purpose knowing hes gonna hit the wall, pass Jimmie but gets slowed down a little more than he thought and was passed by Mr. Chase himself.

That's right Jimmie Johnson visited victory lane for the 38th time in his career, the twelfth time in a chase race, and the third time in the last five races.

Will Jeff Gordon Win a race? Will Kyle Busch get Back in it? Will the Roush Guys Dethrone Jimmie Johnson? Time will tell. Check back after Martinsville

Jimmie Johnson a One of a Kind Driver

Jimmie Johnson is one of NASCAR's greatest drivers, and one of the greatest champions. He is a one of a kind driver, one that NASCAR does not see very often.

Johnson is well respected throughout the NASCAR community. He races clean and smooth, and still can be aggressive when he needs to be. Johnson recently finished third at Pocono after the race was delayed due to rain.

When he gets hot he stays hot for a long time—that's just the kind of driver he is. He has been in a stride for about two months now, finishing in the top 10 several times including a win in the tire troubled Allstate 400 at the Brickyard in Indianapolis. The stride also includes back-to-back poles at Indy and Pocono.

As the chase nears Jimmy Spencer has said, "I think Jimmie Johnson will threepeat." In a few short months we will find out.
