Diamondbacks Need To Make Some Trades

The Diamondbacks are not good. I cannot even watch them anymore.

I would consider making some trades before the Jul. 30 deadline. I would trade away Jon Garland. I think that Jon Garland should go on a team that will have a chance to win and make the playoffs. Garland is better in the AL.

I think he could help any one of the AL Central teams; he pitched well when he was a White Sox, and he has a World Series ring to show for it.

He is not getting any run support from the Diamondbacks and he has struggled at Chase Field. He has a very large ERA at Chase Field.

I love the White Sox and miss him. I will never forget what he did for us back in 2005. The Sox could use another starter. Kenny Williams was dumb to trade him.

I do not see the White Sox winning without Jon Garland. They would have never won back in 2005 if they did not have Garland, so why would Williams let him go?

Jon Garland Could Help Indians

The Diamondbacks are not going anywhere in 2009. They just can't seem to win. I think it would be good for Jon Garland if they traded him to a team he could actually help like the Twins or Indians.

The Indians are not doing good at all, but with some pitching I could see them contending. The AL Central is weak and any of those teams could win it all. I would love to see the Indians or Twins pick up a pitcher like Jon Garland.

Garland pitched in the AL Central most of his career, and was pretty good. I do not think any team in the AL Central is out of it. The AL Central is very close, but teams need pitching and should get it before it is to late. Jon Garland could help just like he helped the Chicago White Sox win the World Series in 2005.

Diamondbacks Need To Improve

The Diamondbacks are not playing good baseball. If they are hitting, they are not pitching and if they are pitching, they are not hitting. Dan Haren pitched three very good games and dose not have a win to show for it.

I think the Diamondbacks will have to get some hitting before the trade deadline. I would get some one like Grady Sizemore or Carlos Quentin you need someone in the line up that can hit it out of the park when you have men on base. I would like to see some more balls being hit by the Diamondbacks.

The pitching has been OK. Jon Garland had a good start and a real bad one I have never seen Jon Garland pitch so bad as he did his second start against the Cardinal's he usually gives you seven or eight innings.

I don't know what was up with him that day, but five walks is not going to win you ball games. I have never seen him pitch so poorly he was great when he was on The Chicago White Sox. He won 18 games and was an all Star and won the World Series in 2005 and in 2006 he won 18 games as well.

I believe he is a great pitcher and will get back to pitching like one. Lets hope Brandon Webb will get back in the rotation and things should start looking up for the D backs .

Minnesota Twins Land Joe Crede

The Minnesota Twins are going to be glad they signed Joe Crede.

Joe is going to help them he is such a great defensive player I love watching him. I hope he is healthy if so he is going to really help the Twins they will have a good chance winning the AL Central.

Joe played his whole career in the AL Central so he should fit in well. The Twins have a lot of good young players and I can see them doing really well in 2009. Joe Mauer is one of the best catchers in the game and Justin Morneau is a great hitter. I cannot wait to watch this team in 2009.

It is a shame the White Sox look so weak. I don't know why they had to let all their good players go.

Baseball perspectives pick the White Sox to come in last place. I don't see that happening, but I sure do not see them doing what they did in 2005.

The Royals always seem to be bad but who knows maybe they will surprise us.

The Indians look good the Tigers need pitching.

I like the Twins they really improved with Joe Crede.

Jon Garland Should Improve The Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks will soon be glad they signed Jon Garland. He is a very good pitcher; he helped the White Sox win the World Series in 2005, a year in which he would also be an All-Star.

Let us not forgot, he won 18 games back in 2006, and he pitched well in 2007.

Ken Williams traded Jon Garland to the Angels, where he won 14 games and lost eight, and D-Backs fans should not be surprised when he repeats similar numbers in '09.

A sinker-ball pitcher, Garland is guaranteed to get teams some ground-ball outs. If he gels into the Diamondbacks' rotation as well as I believe he will, the club should have a very good chance to take the NL West.

The Diamondbacks already had a strong rotation and Garland can only help.

Having watched Garland for many years in Chicago, I can tell you he is a good pitcher to have on your staff.

I wish the D-Backs good luck in 2009.

A-Rod Is Not the Only One Who Took Steroids

I do not think it was fair that Sports Illustrated revealed Alex Rodriguez name and no other names. I think Alex handled it very good at least he admitted his mistakes and he seemed really sorry unlike some other players. I have a lot of respect for Alex Rodriguez I always liked him and I still do.

I am sure there are a lot of players who have taken some sort of steroids we do not know about. I think Alex will have a great year despite all this. I do not understand the Yankee fans when they boo him.

I live in Chicago and I would love to have Alex Rodriguez on my team—I would not boo him. I can't understand why when Andy Petitte was found guilty of steroids last year it was no big deal, but this year it is Alex Rodriguez and everyone is making a huge deal like he did something so bad.

There are so many players who have taken some kind of steroids I say they give Alex a break and just forgive him, he did apologize and he seemed very sorry.

The Yankees have added a lot of new players It should be a very interesting year for them. I see them as well as Alex doing really well despite all this, and we will all forget the steroids (I hope).

Bobby Abreu Signs with L.A. Angels

The Angels have landed Bobby Abreu, and what a great pick-up.

For a bargain price, too! The deal is reportedly worth $5 million for one year.

Bobby is going to give them power. The Angels lost Teixeira, so they really will need it.

I love this pick-up, as I think Abreu is one of the best hitters in baseball and is very durable. This is also a smart move, as it will give Vlad some days off.

The Angels lost a lot this offseason, so it was really good for them to get Abreu. Among those departing were Garret Anderson, Mark Teixeira, Jon Garland, and K-Rod.

They should win the American League West in 2009, as they still look like the strongest team their division.

Cleveland Indians Look Like the Best Team in the AL Central

I like the moves the Indians made this offseason. At least the Indians are trying to win, unlike the Chicago White Sox, who are only interested in cutting their payroll down.

I don't see the Royals doing anything—they are always in last place, although I like the Coco Crisp addition. The Tigers need pitching, and the White Sox did nothing this offseason except trimming their payroll.

The Twins could give the Indians some trouble. I see them beating the White Sox, Tigers, and Royals, no problem.

Getting Mark DeRosa from the Cubs was a great move—he will help the Indians. The Cubs are going to miss him—DeRosa is a great fielder who can play several different positions. He is also a great hitter.

I am not too sure about Kerry Wood, as he is always on the DL. If he stays healthy all year, it will be great for the Indians.

I think the Indians should of acquired another pitcher for the starting rotation. Jon Garland would of fit great—he played the first half of his career in the American League Central, and did well. He is now on the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Good luck to the Indians—I think they will be the AL Central's best team.

Where Will Joe Crede Go?

Joe Crede is one of the best third baseman around. Whoever picks him up will be lucky. I know he did have some back problems, but I am sure Joe will be fine in 2009. He will be a bargain as well.

I would like to see the Twins pick him up. I think he would fit well there he has played in the American league his whole career. Joe Crede had a huge part in getting the Chicago White Sox a World Series ring.

Where Will Jon Garland Sign?

I cannot believe Jon Garland has not signed on a team yet. With all that he can bring to a team I am surprised he has not been signed yet.

The White Sox would be smart to sign him; they need another pitcher in their rotation and he would be perfect. I am a Sox fan and I would love to see him back.

I have a feeling the Dodgers will pick him up. Jon Garland is from California and growing up he was a Dodger fan so I see him going there, the Dodgers are very interested in Jon Garland. The Angels did offer Jon some kind of deal but he did decline.
