Fredi Gonzalez: Better or Worse Than Joe Girardi?

Okay, for all of you Florida Marlins fans out there, a question has to be raised.

Is current Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez better or worse than his predecessor and current Yankees manager Joe Girardi?

In my opinion, Gonzalez is better than Girardi was in Florida.

He has kept the Marlins' record over .500 for almost the entire year and has kept them in the top three of the National League East standings all season, keeping the Marlins in a playoff position.

The Marlins’ lineup has a combination of speed and power, with Alfredo Amezaga, Hanley Ramirez, and David Ross, and power with Josh Willingham, Mike Jacobs, Wes Helms, and Jorge Cantu. The Marlins’ pitching staff have also been phenomenal, despite blown saves by closer Kevin Gregg and every starter having a high ERA.

Packers' Quarterback Battle: Who's Better All-Time, Brett Favre or Bart Starr?

OK, this is a good one: Who's better, Brett Favre or Bart Starr?

In my own opinion, I think Brett Favre is better. Favre holds the most consecutive starts as a quarterback, and has more touchdowns and passing yards than Starr.

Also, I doubt Bart Starr faced retirement three straight seasons, finally retired, and then continued to struggle with that decision.

Brett Favre is now facing an extremly hard decision—stand on the side-line with a clipboard and a headset or go to a different team. I believe that the Packers should release him, he's ovbiously not happy with Mike McCarthy or Ted Thompson's decision not to release him.

That's my opnion—please feel free to comment this article.
