Obama Overrules BCS and Pits Ball State and Utah In Title Game (Humor)

In an unprecedented move, president-elect Barack Obama overruled the BCS computers and selected undefeated Ball State and Utah for the BCS Championship Game.

Ball State will likely defeat Buffalo in the MAC Championship game on Friday and Utah already completed its season unbeaten.

This is part of Obama's "Robin Hood" plan to take money away from the rich and give to the poor.

In this case, taking away from major conferences and giving it to smaller conferences.

"The MAC and Mountain West Conference have been among the hardest-working collegiate football conferences in the United States of America for quite some time," said Obama, while he looked for a puppy online.

"As the future president of this great country, I believe it's time to finally give them a break."

Vice president-elect Joe Biden had a less than enthusiastic reaction to the news.

"I like things," said Biden just before nap time.

The move leaves Big 12 powers Oklahoma and Texas out of the mix, as well as Alabama and Florida from the SEC.

Big 12 Commissioner Dan Beebe was befuddled to say the least.

"I don't really know what to say," said Beebe, almost in tears. "I was initially delighted that he is going to be leading our country, despite the fact that he's going to tax me out of existence. But now? I'm not so sure."

Utah coach Kyle Whittingham was ecstatic upon hearing the news.

"This is exactly why I voted for him," said Whittingham. "I knew he'd pull some crazy stunt like this. Does it make sense? No. Do we deserve it? No. Do I care? No."

"I look forward to helping the blue-collar teams more in the future," said Obama with a wink.

"Just wait until the Super Bowl rolls around."

Bernard Pollard: A Hero Is Born

Every so often, an athlete comes along that transcends sports.

On Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, a hero was born.

Chiefs S Bernard Pollard brought down pretty white-boy Tom Brady, in what was the greatest play ever.

Why? Why is it a good thing? Because those pretty whites need a reality check.

Since Brady broke his leg, things have been looking up for us blacks.

Barack Obama is rocketing to the sky. If he doesn't win, I'm going to lose all faith in people.

11 black men just won an Olympic gold medal for basketball. Prince + Kidd = one full black. One white guy one, but half of him gave away his medal.

Bernard Pollard will go down in history as one of the most influential black men this decade.

He single-helmetedly stopped Bill Belichick from cheating his way to another Super Bowl.

This opens the door for Mike Tomlin and Co. to win one for the Afro race.

Bernard Pollard, welcome to history.

Isiah Thomas: The New York Knickerbocker's Savior?

Everyone says that Isiah Thomas ruined the Knicks, I say "no he didn't!" In the long run, the Isiah era will prove to be beneficial for the city of New York.

He's the one that got them David Lee! He's the most promising player on the team; the most promising white American player in the NBA, for that matter. He got them Nate Robinson. Robinson will prove to be a good point guard in the future to build around.

Thomas loaded the Knicks with talent and nobody can claim otherwise.

Zach Randolph, Eddy Curry, and Steph Marbury are all great players in their own way. It just hasn't worked out so far.

The Knicks are preparing for the year 2010 when Lebron comes to town. He got rid of Stevie Franchise, who was part of the big problem. Now, they have a great coach, Mike Dantonio, and a new executive, Donny Walsh, which will help lead them to the “Promise Land.”

He can run with Dantonio, and the Knicks, mark my words, will run away from the bottom of the Atlantic Division and get in the playoffs. Danny Galinari will become the next Dirk.

Isiah built a team that can contend in the east for a while, and in time eventually win them a title. Even though he is not in charge, Isiah laid the foundation for the team of the future.

They may not win it next year, but Isiah is getting more crap then he deserves.
