I Want Head...AGAIN !

First, I'll apologize as I'm not a long winded sort. I'm more a quick hitter (ask all my ex-girlfriends).

I truly marvel and appreciate the great lengths many of you take to express yourselves.

I've felt for YEARS, that the ideal G.M. for RAW would be Al Snow and Head.

One of my major problems with The WWE is the lack of FRESHNESS! Creativity, originality, uniqueness, etc. Oh a triple threat match...YAWN. A fatal four way...only seen a couple trillion of those.

In my NewCastle Brown Ale-warped mind, I've envisioned Snow having his li'l whispering conversations with Head. And coming up with something along the lines of "Head says tonight, we'll see Mark Henry versus Khali in a scaffold match."

"Head says tonight, we'll see Maryse versus Mickie James in a loser wears BigSlow's underwear over their head match" "Head says tonight, we'll see John Cena versus Michelle McCool in a loser piggy back carries the winner out match" ANYTHING!

With Al Snow, the possibilities are limitless.

I invite vile criticism, harsh debunking, and degrading worthy of Adam Lambert.

But mostly I'd love some of you to carry out my idea, and come up with Al Snow/Head concocted matches.

Hunting Waskly Wabbit: Maurice Clarett's Fall from Grace

Though not an on-field incident, there was Maurice Clarett, he of (the) Ohio State fame.

He of getting bounced out of OSU fame. Clocked as slow as molasses in a pre-draft workout time in the 40. Went in the third round to the Broncos, whereupon he insisted the strength and conditioning coach be fired. The Broncos dumped Clarett after one year.

Not long after, he's arrested for armed robbery in an alley. A few precious days before his trial, he's pulled over in his car, with an armament worthy of overtaking a small nation, just two or three streets away from the home of a witness against him. He gets maced by the police, hence the Elmer Fudd look in news photos.

Here's the funniest moment: Clarrett's lawyer makes a straight-faced statement to the effect of "We don't believe he had any ill intentions"!

Public Enemy No. 1: The Mainstream Sports Media.

I've been a member of BleacherReport for several months now, but I've never submitted a before, as I rather enjoy everyone else's viewpoints. Plus, most of the folks here I'd say are more adept at translating their observations than I.

But last night a situation occurred that has given me a need to vent.

Gee golly, gosh shucks, why is everyone spouting off about Joey Porter's reaction to Plaxico Burress' latest fiasco?

WHO CARES!!!

Why does Joey Porter's latest spew and babble necessitate a glare from every mainstream media outlet?

Granted, Joey Porter is far from being a model citizen himself, and his babble is borderline incoherent, but come on.

And it's not just him.

Chad Johnson is the guy who hasn't even been the best receiver on his own team for three years, but every time he opens his mouth and makes a low I.Q. idiot of himself, it's on ESPN, ESPN360, ESPN NEWS, ESPN GUATEMALA, FAUXSPORTS, YahooSports., etc.

Terrell (aligator arms) Owens makes disparaging comments about Jessica Simpson, you can clearly see multiple dozens of microphones.

The list goes on and on and on.

I remember during his playing days, Brett Hull used to say some utterly retarded things, and it'd be about the only time you heard a hockey player's words. [Take note: I don't play the race card, so you shouldn't either.]

To me, this Porter incident reflects a laziness on the part of the mainstream media, as well as lack of character and intelligence on the part of fans who, indeed, covet these false icons.

Back in the day, it used to amaze me how Allen Iverson could be a half-hearted teammate, a source of endlessly ignorant spewage, and the media hung by his every word and move. To boot, fans continued to buy his jersey by the truckload.

At the same time, you had David Robinson—a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy who is vastly intelligent and an honorable citizen. Rarely did you see fans wearing Robinson jerseys.

If the mainstream media focused on the David Robinsons of the world, would there have been more Robinson jerseys? Would there have been a more positive influence on the young people, and fandom, in general.

OOOOO...AHHHH! What did Joey Porter just say?

Shut him up and stop putting microphones in his face.
