All-NFC East Team, A Collaboration

Here is a little list of the players I would put on an All-NFC East team if I had to play a game tomorrow, not accounting for injuries or longevity. I had a little help from Giants fans too, so don't beat me up too badly. Any positions you want me to elaborate on just comment.

QB-Donovan McNabb

RB-Brian Westbrook

FB-Madison Hedgecock

TE-Chris Cooley

WR-Desean Jackson

WR-Santana Moss

T-Jason Peters

G-Chris Snee

C-Shaun O'Hara

G-Leonard Davis

T-Shawn Andrews

DE-Justin Tuck

DE-Trent Cole

DT-Albert Haynesworth

DT-Mike Patterson

WILL-DeMarcus Ware

MIKE-Antonio Pierce

SAM-Keith Brooking

CB-Asante Samuel

CB-Corey Webster

S-LaRon Landry

S-Quentin Mikell

PR-Desean Jackson

KR-Domenik Hixon

P-Mat McBriar

Eagles Vs Cowboys ...(Fans)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sb8eJ7yNDMo&feature=related

OK, I was sitting on my computer bored as all hell. Then I somehow came upon this video of an Eagles' fan talking some serious smack about the Cowboys after beating them 44-6. Now, trust me, I enjoyed this game as much as the next Eagles' fan. But this guy is just completely obnoxious.

The interesting part is the comments from the fans of the two teams for the video. I only read a hundred or so, but the stupid guy in the tape and the Cowboy fans are soooo redundent. In the midst of this offseason in which I have not argued with a Cowboy fan for a few months, I just wanted to bring these tendencies in arguing into the light for us to see.

If you haven't watch the video now, I suggest you do.

Ok, so the Eagles just completely embarrassed the Cowboys in one of the worst week 17 losses of all time, if not THE worst. So the fans of this demoralized team decide to bring up history of their Super Bowls.

Can a Cowboys fan please tell me how many they won? (Sarcasm). Yes, very very interesting compared to the Eagles three Championship victories (which I consider to be the same thing, well if we're gonna talk about history and all).

Then we will get real mature here. SHEAGLES, and COWGIRLS. Come on, that's what my 4-year-old brother calls them, that is not appropriate for a discussion among men educated in the sport.

Ahh, so what is next you ask? Then the Eagles' fan say they haven't won a playoff game in 15 years. That is a pretty legitimate argument there, especially since we have done relatively well in that time period (RELATIVE—as in relative to the other team I was discussing—I figured someone might set their aim on that sentence and complain). Yes, the Eagles have done better lately in the playoffs, but we have yet to win a Super Bowl.

Another thing I would like to point out is a Cowboy fan saying that we hate the Cowboys because we are jealous of them. Now, I guess that almost makes some sense. But what you have to understand is that we are taught over here to hate "America's Team", eat cheese-steaks, and how to pronounce weird town names like Bala Cynwyd before we go to kindergarten. It is more of a general hate than anything of jealousy.

There are even comments on American history. I'm gonna try to be unbiased here and just say that nothing really gets more American than Texas. However, when a Cowboys' fan says to learn American history, well we are American History. Liberty bell, Independence Hall, Constitution Center, Ben Franklin, Roosevelt Boulevard (world's worst road ever), and the list goes on.

There are many comments from Cowboys' fans that have been pointless and vulgar and even posted to my work, and certainly not appropriate for this site.

So all I'm really trying to say is that we are natural enemies and should fight and argue, but please can we not leave unintelligent comments on people's work. Don't worry you can comment on this all you want, or you can click that button up there on the top right of your screen. Either way...E-A-G-L-E-S!

Top 10 RBs in the NFL

Here is my list of the top 10 RB's in the league, I got the idea from everyone arguing about the best Quarterback's. I'm not basing the list on stats, just the idea if I had to have a team ready today who I would pick. Much harder to do than I thought it would be. The usual are in there, but I there in some curveballs to make this interesting. Leave a comment and tell me what you think about it.
Begin Slideshow

A New York Giants Fan's Inspirational Advice

This is a comment I found from a New York Giants fan. Let me just tell you they are intelligent.

"He just said if a team is interested in him than he's interested in the team. So I geuss that means all the teams that are interested in getting a good WR aka the Giants among others. I would be surprised if the Giants let him go to the Eagles, but then again there's a lot of talk about Cincy paying his checks for a while and trying to get rid of chad johnson.

"But who knows, The Phillies have always found a way to out perform their talent level and get a lot out of a little especially on the offense (donovan has made a career without good widereceivers except T.O and Westbrook hasn't had a change of pace back in a while).

"I don't think the Phillies were the best team in their division, but if they got Housh it could put them on the sanme tier as the Giants (and maybe the cowboys if Romo learns how to lead a team/ as of right now the eagles are a better team even though the cowboys have the most talent in the division).

"The one year the Eagles had a wide receiver they went to the superbowl and with their O-line being better than it was than and a second option ala Desean Jackson they would be a force to be reckoned with as well as keeping him away from the Giants.

"PS. Any one think Dawkins is actually coming back and if so how much does he have left in the tank? Is he gonna be like the patriots SS Harrison who's been one dimensional only being a playmaker in run support but getting burned in pass coverage. "

Really? The Phillies are in the Giants division? Good thing the Eagles always pull through in November to beat the Mets. And OMG, if the Phillies had TJ Houseyoumama, wow he would like hit a hundred touchdowns. And on a more serious note, the Patriots play more of a nickel 3-3-5 with Harrison in there, making him the fourth linebacker.

NFC Championship MVP Award Goes Too... The Refs

I know Donovan, this completely sucks. Two minute drill, down by seven points; this is the drive that sends you to Canton. And then a certain cornerback...cough cough Roderick Hood...is allowed to ankle-tackle Kevin Curtis on 4th-and-long. This is not the fault of our franchise quarterback or our longest tenured coach in the city. When it comes down to it, the game was completely blown by the refs.

I do not care what team you root for, Avant was being held all over on that 3rd down in the red zone, and Kevin Curtis was essentially tackled while the ball was in mid-air. If you paid attention to the sideline, Reid did the most coaching in a game he has probably ever done, even putting in some input on the defensive side of the ball.

Offseason moves NEED to include letting go of G. Lewis and LJ Smith. Please re-sign Dawkins, Runyan, and Tra. These three deserve another try at this after this bull call that cost this city its first football championship in decades. And for God's sake, do not say that Reid and/or McNabb need to go.

P.S. Keep David Akers too.

Eagles' Playoff Run Taking Cues from Phillies' Title

Okay, I know the first thing you are going to ask is, "What does this sandwich have to do with the Eagles?" The answer is nothing, but it sure looks delicious and well-diagrammed.

Anyway, I wanted to write about the analogies that sports commentators use for any successful team in any sport. This year's Philadelphia Eagles are their own team.

There have been many comparisons lately between the Eagles and the Giants this past year. The main difference is that Philly is a wild card that is going to win all road games in the playoffs, but as a Philadelphia fan should know, they are simply doing it the Eagle way.

Just as the Phillies got into the MLB playoffs only in the last few games the last two years (ha ha Mets fans...I hate New York fans), these Eagles needed Jesus Christ to come to earth and slay the Chuckie doll himself.

With a highly unlikely chance (I heard it was a five percent chance mathematically by strength of schedule), this team that was just learning each player's role snuck into the playoffs by bulldozing and embarrassing my least favorite team, the Cowboys. Great game.

The team that the Eagles remind me of is right across the street from them at Citizens Bank Park. That's right—remember a few years ago when everyone wanted Charlie Manuel gone? Now he is a world champion.

The Phillies were the definition of a team last year. You could watch them and just tell that they were completely in sync with each other. Each player knew his role, be it Howard, Dobbs, or that Hawaiian guy who went in for Pat Burrell late in the games, and they all knew what they needed to do.

This year's Eagles team is the most complete football team I have seen in a while. I am not talking about talent. I mean that these players have heart, the most prized X-Factor in sports—something that does not come with skill or big-money free agents. (Just ask the Yankees of late.)

The biggest X-factor of all is Brian Dawkins. I suggest that if you have never heard him speak, you look him up. He is the definition of a good leader: respectful, religious, intense, emotional, and inspirational.

I think that Philadelphia appreciates these types of championships more—championships that are won with more heart than skill and talent.

That seems to be the direction that another Philadelphia team is headed...see you at the parade.

Venting Over Eagles Fans

As a Philadelphia fan I find myself to be one of the more sensible ones and not the traditional Eagles fan yelling at Big Red after every play under 30 yards.

As such I think that people saying Red (yes I know that says red) needs to give up his general manager job are ridiculous. It is almost as bad as saying he needs to get fired. This man obviously wins games, more than the Eagles have without him. Just because you do not agree with his offense that he runs does not mean he needs to go.

Secondly, Marty calls most of the plays for the team, not Big Red.

Next, Buckhalter did not run much last week because he played fullback for the second half when Klecko got injured. The Eagles should not have tried to run more against the Vikings—first-best run defense in the league means something.

As a fan I do not believe we have any right to discuss McNabb's personality. So what if he enjoys the game? Smiling and laughing instead of getting upset and throwing the game away is much more appreciated. My brother and I had tickets into Citizens Bank Park on Halloween Day and as the world champions were announced this guy next to me would (in between taking pictures of this girl's ass is front of us) start saying how each player needed to go and was not that good.

I know we all want another parade down Broad. We went nuts for the Phillies, the city would riot with an Eagles championship. And the McNabb—Reid combo is the most likely to get us what it is we all want. A Super Bowl victory. And for anyone that does not think Donovan is a warrior seriously needs to watch the Eagles-Cardinals game from 2002 where he played 90 percent of the game on a broken ankle. I think the NFL Network had that around the ninth-toughest moment in league history.

Just had to vent for a second after listening to my fellow Philadelphia fans.
