Why This Could Be Andy Roddick's Last Grand Slam Final

It will be a sad day in the hearts of Americans when their country number 1 retires.

Andy Roddick has been in the game for many years now and sadly enough these next ones may be his last.

Roddick, who is 25 years old and married, is coming out of the "peak" years of his tennis career.

Same goes for Federer, but who gives a damn. Nobody likes him.

Anyway, Roddick referred to himself as "an old married dude." This being the case, one might wonder if he has one more title in him.

I personally hope so. I hope that he crushes Federer to claim the Wimbledon title that has eluded him in years past.

*Sigh* for one to dream.

Well I hope all of you who read this agree with me and join in cheering on Andy this Sunday as he takes Roger Federer who is seeking to make history.

For those of you who don't agree with, I would say screw you. But since I'm not an a**hole, I'll just say please comment!

Orton Defeats Triple H, CM Punk Goes Heel at the Bash

Well, this year's Bash was definitely a better turn out than last year's edition.

With outstanding matches and good storyline starters/enders, it was a PPV I would watch over and over again.

My man Randy Orton retained the title after defeating The Game in a 3 Stages of Hell Match. Being one of the more exciting matchups of the night, it was sure to be a good one.

The two battled back and forth, waging a miniature war in the squared circle. But few could have doubted that Orton would have lost the title this early in his reign.

In their defense though, Orton did win his first title and then lose it the next night. So, I guess the cynics do have that to back up their argument.

With this win, I think that this little rivalry is over, Orton being the victor.

The Bash had another interesting result up its sleeve. With CM Punk being on the brink of going heel, a PPV was the best place to prove or disprove these predictions.

He and Jeff Hardy had an outstanding match in which Hardy thought he won, but CM Punk actually had his foot outside the ring when the ref was counting.

For all of you that don't know what that means, it means that he wasn't completely inside the ring.

The ref admitted his mistake and made the match resume in a scare for Punk.

A little while after the match was restarted, CM Punk kicked the referee in the head. Whether it was intentional or not, well, that was not determined.

When the ref came to, Punk faked like his eye was hurt, so it couldn't possibly have been him. Hardy was left to take the blame for what Punk did, and so he was disqualified, allowing CM Punk to retain the title.

This was one of the best PPVs I have ever seen. It sets up other things to come, rather than just ending them, like a lot of PPVs do.

Tune in to Raw tonight to see the aftermath of The Bash, I know I will.

Andy Roddick Moves To Second Round at Wimbledon

The Lacoste poster child, Andy Roddick, moved into the second round today after a great match with the frenchman Jeremy Chardy. It was a tough four setter for the American, but the better player prevailed in the end.

It started off with Roddick booming serves left and right, jumping to a quick lead. The big man faltered only a couple of times, but ended up taking the first set 6-3.

The second set would not come nearly as easy, though. Roddick was broken a couple of times by Chardy, taking the thrilling set in a tie-breaker 7-3.

With a two set lead, Roddick looked to close out the match in three sets. Chardy would not have it this way, however. Battling back and holding a few fantastic service games, the third set belonged to the frenchman's.

Now that Roddick had been snapped back into reality, he was on a mission to end the match then and there. Only being broken once, Roddick stormed through the fourth set, clinching the victory.

In a post match interview, Roddick was asked if he was comfortable "going quietly about [his] business" (Wimbledon Interviewer, 2009). Roddick replied by saying that he just wanted to "play good tennis" (Andy Roddick, 2009).

Andy will probably stay true to his word. Up until about the quarterfinals, that is. Being my favorite player, I truly believe that he can knock Roger Federer off of his high-horse.

I mean, come on, Federer can't just be allowed to coast through the draw with that cunning smile and large wife at his side.

Someone has to get their hands dirty and crush him, like Nadal used to.

If Roddick can play to the level that I have seen him, Roddick can beat Federer no doubt.
