OMG, the Next Episode of My Soap Opera Is On: "Days of Our NASCAR"

So, by now we have all heard about NASCAR vs Jeremy Mayfield. If you haven’t, then there is obviously something wrong with you and you live under a rock.

Anybody who writes anything about it usually just gives one side of the story, not both. So, people can be easily misled by things they read on one article and then something they read on another article.

Maybe, just maybe, if both sides of the story were read at once, then people would realize that this whole thing is pretty much a stand-off. From what evidence both sides have it could go either way, and none of us know the absolute truth we can just speculate.

So, here goes both sides of the story with a little opinion thrown in there because everybody has one. Oh, one more thing just to throw out there, has anybody else noticed that anything written on NASCAR.com is sided with NASCAR? There is literally not one good thing said about Mayfield, from what I’ve read.

It all started May 9, 2009. Jeremy was suspended from a positive drug test which we now know to be as meth. He claimed Adderall and Calritin were to blame. Adderall is easily understood to be a name brand amphetamine, and Claritin to contain is known to contain pseudoephedrine.

Okay, so test results come back. The person sees on the results that amphetamine and pseudoephedrine were in Mayfield's system. Adderall is commonly abused, and pseudoephedrine is used to make meth.

So the person that examines the drug test sees this and first instincts lead his mind to think meth. This is all of course speculation by me, but this is a possibility.

So, when Dr. Black questioned Jeremy and Jeremy told him that he took Adderall, Dr. Black said he highly doubted that a man of Jeremy’s age would need to take such a drug. We should all know what happens after this the lawsuit, injunction granted, choice words by both sides.

Now, to more recent things, July 6, 2009. This is where most of the two-sided stuff comes in, so pay attention.

We’ll start with NASCAR's side. This is when NASCAR decided to have Jeremy take a second test with and the specimen to be sent to AEGIS Corp. The results came back, and it showed positive for meth. The news spread like a wildfire. I couldn’t even watch any type of news without hearing about it.

I had just about lost my faith in Jeremy until I got home and actually had access to a computer, and watched the 20 minute interview he did for Fox. You should really try to watch it. The reason for this interview was that Jeremy was just fed up with staying quiet.

However, his attorney told him not to talk, but nothing was said about his side of the story up to that point, and he just couldn’t stand it anymore. It’s like being in high school and hearing a rumor about you, and doing nothing about it. Who does that? Nobody.

The main point I want to make about the article would be the 15 negative drug tests that Jeremy took with an independent. People say "Oh, they’re not certified or anything like that so any results that come back aren’t right." Well, that's right.

And Jeremy made a comment saying that his test sent to AEGIS was spiked. That really isn’t that farfetched of an idea. Nobody knows what extent NASCAR will go to. If it wasn’t spiked and the records weren’t falsified why won’t they let Jeremy and his attorneys have his sample B from July 6.

NASCAR has already been known to do that, as with Tim Richmond.

Its very much so a possibility that NASCAR did that. On to the sworn affidavit from Jeremy’s step-mom saying "Between 1998 and 2005, I am personally aware that Jeremy used methamphetamines often," "I was concerned about his heavy use and talked to his father about it. I saw Jeremy use methamphetamine by snorting it up his nose at least 30 times during the 7 years I was around him. Jeremy used methamphetamine not only in my presence, but also when we were both in the presence of others."

Well there’s one person saying that he did meth, but what about the others that he was in the presence of? I’ve never known a meth user to openly do drugs. Wow, seven years of drug use! He sure doesn’t look like he has taken meth. Please don’t leave me comments saying people can hide their drug use.

First off, according to his mother, he wasn’t hiding it. The amount of meth said to be on the drug test would make him a chronic user. This is 10 years of a chronic meth user. Does Jeremy look anything like her go ahead and count seven spaces over on the picture.

And don’t tell me I know nothing about hiding drugs because my mom and dad both did meth for years. I’m not looking for any type of pity, I’m just saying. Yes, everybody is different on drugs, to some extent.

Also, everybody is obsessing over this affidavit from his step mother. What about the affidavits from other people like Bobby Wooten, who was the General Manager for Mayfield Motorsports.

Wooten testified in a sworn affidavit that U.S. District Court Judge Graham Mullen took in to consideration when he lifted Mayfield’s suspension.

“I have never seen Jeremy under that pretense,” Wooten said. “And he was around us four and five days a week, 12 hours a day. Typically, if you are an abuser of this particular drug, you can’t go without it for that long of a time. I did not ever see that in Jeremy.”

Bobby Wooten was also a police officer for nine years. It was stuff like that which I was talking about before most people get one side of the story. I just found what Wooten said while writing this article.

So far the only things Mayfield has done wrong is not telling NASCAR about the Adderall in the first place, and also lashing out against NASCAR and his step mom, and at this point I think he has just about every right too.

Personally, I think if you’re going to write an article or even post a comment, you should know both side of the story. There is a lot of information out there that not everybody has access to. From what we have though, there really isn’t enough to say who is completely right and who is completely wrong.

In my opinion, Jeremy is doing a pretty good job.

NASCAR: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

Here are just a few things I think about NASCAR.

-The Good-

The Lucky Dog award. This is a very good thing that NASCAR came up with. I know its old news but it doesn't get very much praise.

I seriously cannot come up with anything else that NASCAR has done good.

-The Bad-

Top 35 rule for qualifying. I think this rule is just stupid and isn't what racing is about. If you can qualify upper 30's then u should get to race. If somebody like Jeff Gordan, Kevin Harvick, and whoever else if they don't qualify in the top 43 for that particular race they shouldn't get to race. The end. Don't send somebody home just so a big name can race!

The drug policy is just bad I'm not going any farther with that, its all out there.

The Chase was a good concept but has since proven its not that great. Go back to the regular format.

-The Ugly-

NASCAR. 'nuff said.

Possible Reasons Why NASCAR Ratings Are Down

Some thoughts as to why ratings are down:

Total number of commercials: 141
Total number of companies or entities advertised: 73
Total number of brief promos of services during the race broadcast: 20
Total minutes: 237
Minutes of race broadcast: 170
Minutes of commercials: 67
Total race broadcast time: 170 total comm., broadcast time 67
Amount of racing: not enough time

Also, another simple reason would be that people just aren't liking the changes made in NASCAR.

One reason I don't like it is because it's the same people every week. I get having the good team. Every sport needs the good team. Sometimes it's just boring to see the same person win the championship three years in a row. I know not much can change that, but I think NASCAR should get rid of the chase.

Another thing I personally think should be changed is the top 35 rule. I think if you qualify in the top 43 then you should race. I don't get why in some cases a go or go home car can qualify in upper 20s and go home, but good 'ol Jeff Gordan can qualify 46th and race.

It just doesn't seem right. I think that it is just another ploy by NASCAR to make sure the Top Dogs are in the show.

Tell me a few of your opinions about NASCAR. Everything you say is greatly appreciated one way or another.

NASCAR: News and Rumors.

RPM lays off nine employees

Richard Petty Motorsports has laid off nine employees and reduced salaries throughout the organization, a byproduct of Chrysler's bankruptcy.

A person familiar with the moves tells the Associated Press that RPM officials are anticipating significant cutbacks from Dodge. Chrysler is Dodge's parent company, and the automaker filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last month. Team co-owner Richard Petty has said the bankruptcy filing slowed the money flow from Dodge over the past few weeks.

Truex Jr. to have GE Reveal as sponsor for two races

Earnhardt Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates and GE Lighting announced that the GE Reveal Light Bulb brand will be the primary sponsor on the No. 1 Chevy of Martin Truex Jr. for races this weekend, Jun. 14, at Michigan and the following race at Infineon Raceway on Jun. 21.

The No. 1 Chevy’s bright blue design draws inspiration from the blue coloring of an unlit GE Reveal light bulb. Race fans should be sure to look for the iconic GE script logo on the hood of the Chevy, along with the rainbow-hued logo of GE Reveal running down the car’s quarter panels.

Possible fourth team for Penske has been denied

Roger Penske said, "There are no plans to expand Penske Racing's three-car organization of No. 2 Kurt Busch, No. 77 Sam Hornish Jr. and No. 12-David Stremme." There have been reports that he would move to a fourth team with Justin Allgaier, a rookie in the Nationwide Series. "We've made some good progress this year and we've got to maintain that," Penske said. "We're not in the silly season at all. ... We've got plenty of time."

Carl Long on Dave Despain: I've Been Vocal

Carl Long joined Dave Dispain Sunday night to discuss his recent NASCAR penalty for an over-sized Cup engine during NASCAR Sprint All-Star weekend. Long’s appeal was heard, but the penalties, including his suspension and $200,000 fine, were upheld.

Dave Despain: You’ve been vocal in criticizing the penalty here. What do you think should have happened? Had you been NASCAR, what would you have done?

Carl Long: Kept the engine. Some infraction but not near what we got from this deal.

Despain: Less penalty?

Long: Yeah, I’ve been vocal. It was an All-Star Race and in no other All-Star event in any sport does it affect the regular season, so I asked them to change the rules. That didn’t work out too well, either.

Despain (reading NASCAR statement): Nothing has changed. There have always been severe penalties for attempting to manipulate engine, tires or fuel. Do you have any reaction to that?

Long: Somewhat. I think that when Richard Petty won the race, he won the race when Bodine did what he did. They were in competition. This was in practice and anyone in the garage area knows my circumstances and why I’m there. The rules are written for what they are but the bottom line is it always has at NASCAR’s discretion.

There’s a few things: ‘Hey, get this fixed before you come back through tech. Fix this before next week.’ So, I was wrong by expecting to get something out of it. A rule is a rule. That’s what they said. That’s the way it’s got to be. There’s no other game in town, so what do you do?”

Despain: Richard Petty, when he won his 198th race, I think it was, with a huge motor at Charlotte, got a $35,000 fine, which was a record at the time, and they took away 104 points. So, there’s that. When you appealed it, did you think something was going to happen?

Long: I expected a reduction. I expected the suspension to be dropped or at least the four weeks like Geoff Bodine and Junior Johnson had. I thought about a lot of things but none of them seemed to happen except the infraction got rolled over to a Sprint Cup Series rule and that was the first time I’d seen that happen.

Despain: They took your original NASCAR suspension, which was 12 weeks, and applied it only to Sprint Cup, meaning you can still work in Truck and Nationwide. How does that change in the suspension affect your life? Does it help?

Long: A little. It will allow me to go with our Nationwide team but at the same time, if I’m spotting for our Nationwide team, are they going to kick me out of the flagman’s stand if I’m spotting for the Cup team when they change practice sessions?

It’s been pretty tough because when I go to the race track, if I was going cheated, I was going to go ‘big cheated’ and if I got kicked out I had every opportunity to load up and go the house and we didn’t. So, here I am and we can’t pay the fine, so we’re just out of NASCAR.

Despain: Does Ernie Elliott have a role in this? Does the engine builder have any responsibility in your mind?

Long: I tried to see if NASCAR, when I lobbied the hearing, would make engine builders responsible, and that’s not a part of it. Ernie basically cut me a deal. He had a lot of extra Ganassi engines, he cut me a deal on one. Why it’s big and how it got big I have no idea. His part was as much as it overheated, it melted the head gasket into the cylinder head and he said that’s why it got big.

Despain: It was a crew chief’s fine. Does it revert to you if he can’t pay it?

Long: Yes, at the end of the year, section 12 of the rulebook basically states any fines not settled go back to the owner, which my wife was listed as the owner. So, typically, you could say I’m off the hook. But how do I go back to the race track without my wife when it’s my team?

Despain: Have they run you off?

Long: I hope not. David Reutimann has started cheerleading and trying to pool up some money and make things happen for us. This penalty is probably at least 300 percent more than what we make. I don’t know how I go forward with it.

You want to race. You want to be a part of it. Yes, I can be in the Nationwide Series garage and so forth but at the end of the year, my license is not in good standing. I’ve never seen anything to compare it to in the past.

So, what do you think about Long's suspension? I can't speak for anyone else but personally, I think NASCAR was a bit harsh on this reasons being..

It was for the All-Star race.

It was not a points-paying race.

The engine blew during practice, not the actual race.

The rules are 358 cubic inches and Long's was 358.17 cubic inches. The .17 is as wrong as if it would have been 400 cubic inches. This engine is 50 horsepower less than top teams but it was all that could be afforded.

NASCAR Drug Policy: What It Says And What Should Be Changed.

The fact that NASCAR implemented a new drug policy is great. But, maybe they jumped at the zero-tolerance thing a little to hard after the Aaron Fike thing. A few things that could make the policy better

Appeal system. Just like they have for regular penalties. Let the driver or crew members plead their case before a panel before suspending them.

On the actual drug policy their is a list of 'warning signs' some that are very good and others that are unreasonable. Like...

"Nose constantly runs, or appears red, or persistent sniffing." What if they have a cold?

"Accidents during events" Really?

"Violent tendencies, loss of temper, or irritability" Drivers are always get angry when they have a bad race (Kyle Busch) and that doesn't mean you're on drugs.

Form a drivers union to make a better policy.

NASCAR has to be consistent. It states in the policy for reason you will get suspended "A conviction for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs..." Billy Ballew was convicted with a DUI at Atlanta but wasn't suspended

Be more involved with the drug testing procedure. Don't just contract a company and let them do all the work have somebody from NASCAR actually involved in the whole process.

RELEASE A PROHIBITED DRUG LIST TO THE DRIVERS.

If these changes as well as others were made there would be a good drug policy in place.

Jeremy Mayfield: Jan. 31, 2009 To Present

So starting with Jan. 31, 2009.

This day would mark the beginning of Mayfield Motorsports. Jeremy Mayfield returns to NASCAR Sprint Cup competition in 2009 as both team owner and driver. Thanks in part to NASCAR and sponsor All Sport, Mayfield plans to field a full time entry in the series. He will assume driving duties of the team’s No. 41 entry beginning with the season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

“Team ownership is something I’ve always wanted to pursue,” said Mayfield. “Things havereally fallen into place this year with the NASCARrule changes and with All Sport coming on board as a partner.”

Mayfield’s ownership aspirations were given new life when NASCAR announced one key rule change for the 2009 season—a ban on testing at NASCAR sanctioned tracks. “I have to give NASCAR a lot of credit for the things they’ve done in the sport over the last two years to make it possible for people like me to get involved as a team owner,” (he did like NASCAR before) continued Mayfield. “The new COT car and even more importantly the testing ban have made it a reality for me to come in and compete in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.”

Mayfield will be joined in ownership by Gary Smith, Chairman and CEO of Big Red Inc. and co-owner of Mayfield Motorsports. Smith’s All Sport brand will sponsor the team during the 2009 Sprint Cup season.

“We are excited to continue our involvement in the NASCARSprint Cup series by teaming up with Mayfield Motorsportsto sponsor the #41 All Sport Toyota,” said Smith. “All Sport has been a key partner in many auto racing sponsorships in the past and as a result, our plan is to capture the thrill of racing through in-store programs designed to get consumers excited about our connection to motorsports.”

Mayfield’s level of commitment is bolstered by his dual role in the organization and supplemented by the support of a strong team with leadership provided by veteran crew chief Tony Furr. In addition, Mayfield will be utilizing Triad Racing Technologies engines and chassis to support his racing efforts.

“Mayfield Motorsports is a collaboration of a lot of good people and friends of mine,” explained Mayfield. “Withthis opportunity, we we’re able to put a lot of people who were out of work back into a job, which has given everyone working here a real connection to the team. I grew up drinking All Sport, so to enter into a partnership with Gary Smithand to represent the brand is a fantastic opportunity for me. Auto racing is a very physically demanding sport and as a driver it is important for me to stay hydrated. All Sport gives me the hydration I need for a grueling race.”

Mayfield’s plans may begin with the Daytona 500, but they have an undertone of endurance similar to what the driver has shown in his 20-year racing career.

“We’re here for the long haul,” said Mayfield. “This isn’t something I’m going into withshort term aspirations. Together withAll Sport, we’re going to compete this year with the goal to build a solid team for many years to come.”

Feb. 12, 2009.

Gatorade Duel 2 this would mark the day that Jeremy Mayfield and Scott Riggs would become the 'over night sensation'. More like over 12 days sensation. But that's saying alot. Especially, finishing ninth out of 28 and he was in the top ten the whole day.

Feb. 19, 2009

Paul Chodora, a licensed crew member in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, has been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR for violating the sanctioning body’s substance abuse policy. Chodora, who NASCAR confirmed was a member of Jeremy Mayfield's No. 41 Sprint Cup team Thursday, is the first person to be punished under the policy that was amended last season to mandatory preseason testing and random testing throughout the season. Kevin Harvick fired two members of his Truck Series team that failed drug tests given by his organization, not NASCAR, prior to the season. Mayfield's team was formed only a month ago and crew members were not all hired at the time of NASCAR's preseason testing in January. Chodora was given a license by the governing body to participate in Sunday's Daytona 500, then was tested and suspended after only a day and a half of work. Chodorahas served previously as a front tire changer with Johnny Sauter's team.

The following is a statement from driver/owner Jeremy Mayfield of Mayfield Motorsports regarding Paul Chodora, who was found to be in violation of the NASCAR substance abuse policy: “Mayfield Motorsports respects the decision by NASCAR to indefinitely suspend Paul Chodora. We as an organization appreciate NASCAR's drug testing policies and policing efforts as it makes the sport stronger overall. If Paul doesn’t comply with NASCAR’s reinstatement process, then he will no longer be an employee of Mayfield Motorsports." (okay so yes after a crew member gets suspended i bet Mayfield would start drugs especially after releasing the statement.....right (;... thats a smiley face)

Things slow down for Mayfield after qualifying for California. he wouldn't make another race until Martinsville.

March 2009.

As stated in Mayfield's lawsuit 'A licensed medical doctor diagnosed Mayfield with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder. (ADHD). Although ADHD is a disabling condition, Mayfieldis nevertheless able to satisfactorily perform his job duties with reasonable accommodations and still be held to the same standards of performance that apply to others similarly employed. Mayfield's condition does not create a risk to the safety of health of himself, other employees or the public.'

March 30, 2009.

As stated in Mayfield's lawsuit 'To treat his condition, Mayfield physician prescribed the amphetamine Adderall-XR. Mayfield began taking Adderall-XR once per day, as prescribed by his physician. NASCAR never informed Mayfield that he was prohibited from taking Adderall-XR or that Adderall-XR was a controlled substance. Adderall-XR does not adversely affect the safety, performance and/or well being of anyone.

Apr. 26, 2009.

Mayfield raced at Talledega where he was involved in a fiery wreck and inhaled fumes.

Apr. 30, 2009.

Mayfield travelled to Richmond, Virginia. Suffering from severe allergies Mayfield took 1 pill of Claritin D at the beginning of he 6 hour trip to Richmond.
Upon his arrival to Richmond he took another Claritin D. NASCAR never informed Mayfield that he was prohibited from taking Claritin D.

May 1, 2009.

Mayfieldsuccessfully drove practice laps at Richmond. At the conclusion of the practice session NASCAR officials instructed Mayfield to report to a trailer for Random drug testing. Following found in Mayfield's lawsuit. Mayfield was told to select a urine sample cup from a cluttered, non-sterilized table. Mayfield informed the collector that he took two Claritin D tablets. the collector said he would need to inform Dr. black about that. The collector then instructed Mayfield to step into a nearby restroom and urinate in his sample cup. The area was neither secure not sterilized.

May 3, 2009.

Stated in lawsuit. After numerous calls to Dr. Black, he finally returned Mayifled's call May 3, 2009. During the conversation Mayfield informed Black Adderall-XR. Black expressed doubt that someone of Mayfield's age and experience legitimately need to take Adderall. Mayfield also informed Black that he took two Clartin D tablets. Black said that such a medication could show up on his drug test as an unauthorized stimulate. (Adderall and Claritin are both stimulants which may be why NASCAR is saying that Mayfield over took the subscribed amount. Which of course NASCAR wouldn't know from a urine test. Only from a blood test)

May 7, 2009.

Stated in lawsuit. Douglas Auckerman called Mayfield and informed him that his urine sample tested positive for amphetamines. Aukerman requested copies of medical records related to Mayfield's ADHD diagnoses. Mayfield immediately requested that his physician send the requested records. This occured in the hour. Mayfield travelled to Darlington that day.

May 8, 2009

Stated in lawsuit. Auckerman Called Mayfield with various questions about his Adderall use. Aukerman also asked if Mayfield had recently taken any inhalants. Mayfield denied. In a later conversation, Mayfield explained, Although he had not take any inhalants, he was involved in a fiery wreck while competing in Talledega in late April where he inhaled a large amount of fumes. Aukerman dismissed Mayfield's comments regarding the April wreck.

Auckerman told Mayfieldthat sample A had be tested by Aegis and the results were positive for prohibited drugs and that sample B was frozen, and it could be tested to see if it was also positive for prohibited substances. Mayfield had no knowledge of a sample B and informed Auckerman of the same. Mayfield also question how a drug test from the same sample would yield a different result. (BAM!) Mayfield volunteered to submit one or more additional urine test. Aukerman refused Mayfield offer. Instead, Auckerman stated that Aegis could have made a mistake in testing the initial specimen, and that therefore Mayfield would want to have them to test his B specimen.

This was intentional misrepresentation of the proper testing procedure (come on now even I know that)

At the end of their conversation Auckerman informed Mayfield that he would haveto send a positive test result to NASCAR. In response Mayfield merely tolds him to do whatever you feel like you need to do because u have done nothing but confuse me me and i don't know what else to tell you to do.
Mayfield called black and asked for a copy of the test results. Black refused to provide Mayfield with a copy stating they are property of NASCAR.
Then without Mayfield's consent, knowledge or permission, Aegis on its own or under Auckerman's instruction, tested Mayfield's Sample B. To do so Aegis broke the seal of Sample B and forwarded the results to of both tests to NASCAR, and not to Mayfield.

May 9, 2009.

We all know this date, a representative from NASCAR informed Mayfield by telephone that he was indefinitelysuspended as both a driver and as an owner.

May 12, 2009.

Mayfield received a letter from NASCAR informing him the conditions he would have to me to have his license reinstated.

This is the point where all the news conferences were held. Where NASCAR made allegations about Mayfield. Stating Mayfield was suspended because he took a 'performance-enhancing' or 'recreational' drug (they said this even after they were informed about the Adderall and Claritan D. Can u say SLANDER!?)

May 13, 2009.

Mayfield's council specifically requested that NASCARprovide him with the specific results of the drug test.

May 15, 2009.

Council provided by regular mail various materials in response to the request which did not include test results.

May 19, 2009.

Mayfield's council again requested the results. NASCAR provided one set of results later that day. those results were presumably related to Sample A.

May 20, 2009.

Mayfield's council requested the Sample B test results. Later that day they were finally received from NASCAR's lawyer. (even when Mayfield's lawyers got involved NASCAR still didnt cooperate to their full extent.)

May 27, 2009.

Uh Happy Birthday Jeremy. I'm sure it was a good one.

May 29, 2009.

Mayfield filed lawsuit against NASCAR, Brian France, Aegis science corporation (wait isn't that a sponser for someone in the Nationwide Series???) David Black, and Douglas Auckerman. (talk about a birthday present to yourself!)

Not sure of dates but at some point there events happened.
gag order (granted)
attempt at restraining order that would have allowed Mayfield to race (denied)
Case moved to federal court (by NASCAR) (Granted)
NASCAR files counter-suit. If you read it, all it basically says is denying all allegations by Mayfield and NASCAR's counterclaim states that Mayfield knowingly participated in NASCAR-sanctioned competition using a combination of drugs in violation of the substance-abuse policy (THERE IS NO LIST HOW WAS HE SUPPOSED TO KNOW!!)and in doing so, violated his contract with NASCAR and the standards of care that he owed fellow drivers and spectators. Mayfield's willful misconduct at the race track in which he competed while an illegal substance was still in his system is evidence that he presented a danger to himself and others. (ADDERALL AND CLARITAN D ISN'T ILLEGAL!)

Jeremy Mayfield: He Said, NASCAR Said and Tried To Control

Jeremy Mayfield's side:

1. In 17 years of NASCAR, he never had any type of drug problem before, plus he just started his team, why would he want to throw that hard work away. Anybody with common sense wouldn't throw something away like that.

2. Anybody that has ever been in any type of relationship with Mayfield has said he has never had a drug problem.

3. He passed the preseason drug test, so, this would have to be a new "addiction" that just "happened" to come about at the same time he started to take Adderall.

4. When asked about medications he was on, he told Dr. Black he was prescribed Adderall. Black said I have doubts that a man of your age would need medication for ADHD. What right does he have to say I doubt you need that medication, he doesn't know Mayfield personally.

5. Instead of waiting to receive paperwork from Mayfield's doctor, Mayfield was indefinitely suspended, which is irreversible.

6. NASCAR made snide remarks about Mayfield. In otherwards slander, which they are denying in their countersuit.

7. Everything dealing with the drug test was done wrong. Nothing was sterilized or done to code by AEGIS.

8. Mayfield never received his drug information, he was just notified that he was suspended.

9. NASCAR says they weren't notified that he was taking Adderall. What right does NASCAR have to know every little thing about their drivers? Especially something that doesn't have effects the way a driver drives.

10. NASCAR says that Jeremy took doses over the prescribed amount. They wouldn't be able to tell that with a urine test. Only with a blood test.

11. Mayfield has, so far, been able to prove everything.

12. NASCAR has done many things to push back the hearings.

13. NASCAR held news conference's about the countersuit after a GAG order was issued.

14. NASCAR has no prohibited drug list.

15. NASCAR has only been able to deny claims. And, at first when they wouldn't release the positive drug test they weren't giving Mayfield a chance to defend himself.

NASCAR's Side:

1. Uhhh, hmm, lets see, oh here's one, no wait; they still look bad there. I was gonna say Mayfield never told NASCAR about the Adderall, but how was Mayfield supposed to know there isn't a drug list.
