Top 10 Fantasy Football RBs for '09-'10

Last season, only a mere 16 running backs rushed for over 1,000 yards and only 11 had ten or more touchdowns. I don't think this is because of lack of talent but because of an abundance of talent that backs have the luxury of splitting time with other star backs. With this trend more and more people will be more cautious when drafting a running back in the first round.
Look for more and more wide receivers to be drafted in the first round than ever. Still there are elite backs worth the hype and worth the first round pick.

Top 5 Fantasy Football QBs for '09-'10

Unless you happened to draft Drew Brees in the first round last year in your league, you probably didn't see much consistent production until late in the season.
Brady suffered a season-ending knee injury in his first game. Roethlisberger was practically a nobody all season. Palmer missed much of the season. Manning struggled after having off-season surgery.
Interestingly enough, those who drafted the likes of Rodgers, Rivers, Cutler, or Warner had much success throughout the season and were probably able to scoop these QBs up in later rounds.
It looks as though this year will be more of the same when it comes to QB production, so look to get a top quarterback on draft day.
Begin Slideshow

Wayne Ellington: Quick Glance

Wayne Ellington

North Carolina No. 22, Junior, SG

By the Numbers:

PPG: 15.8
FG%: 48.3
APG: 2.7
RPG: 4.9
SPG: 0.9
BPG: 0.2
3P%: 41.7
FT%: 77.7
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 190

Pros:

With a very pretty release and great shooting fundamentals, Ellington is a pure shooter. He has excellent range and can score from just about anywhere on the court. Can score in bunches and is a solid passer. However, he doesn't always look to pass.

Cons:

He has limited athleticism, meaning he's about reached his athletic potential. He looks to shoot instead of pass most of the time and needs to bulk up some, 205 pounds would be the ideal size for SG of his size. Finally, his defense could use some work. He needs to fully commit to playing defense, in order to become a good defender.

Comparison:

Ray Allen

Chase Budinger: Quick Glance

Chase Budinger

Arizona No. 34, Junior, SF

By the Numbers:

PPG- 18
FG%- 48
APG- 3.4
RPG- 6.2
SPG- 1.4
BPG- 0.5
3P%- 39.9
FT%- 80.1
Height- 6'7"
Weight- 220

Pros:

Super ability to finish around the rim, he just doesn't miss once he gets up high. Passes well and unselfishly. Has excellent size for his position. Shows all the intangibles and fundamentals. Shoots very well for his size.

Cons:

Limited athletic ability, won't dominate with his size the way he did in college. Needs work on creating his own shot one-on-one. Finishes poorly with contact. Decent ball-handling skills and quickness.

Comparison:

Chris Douglas-Roberts

Ty Lawson: Quick Glance

Ty Lawson

North Carolina #5, Junior, PG

By the Numbers:

PPG- 16.6
APG- 6.6
RPG- 3
SPG- 2.1
BPG- 0.1
3P%- 47.2
FT%- 79.8
Height- 5'11
Weight- 195

Pros:

Incredible ball-handling skills, dribbles great under pressure. Great in transition and transition defense. Very unselfish and has amazing court vision. Can score when needed. His strength makes up for his small size. Extremely quick and a tremendous passer.

Cons:

Obviously, he is a tad small for the NBA. His pull-up jumper could use a little work.

Comparison:

T.J. Ford

Jonny Flynn: Quick Glance

Johnny Flynn

Syracuse No. 10, Sophomore, PG

By the Numbers:

PPG: 17.4
FG%: 46
APG: 6.7
RPG: 2.7
SPG: 1.4
BPG: 0.2
3P%: 31.7
FT%: 78.6
Height: 6'0
Weight: 185

Pros:

Tremendous athletic ability, makes up for his size with his athletic ability; he has a knack for coming up clutch; has great one-on-one skills, made many defenders look silly in his two seasons at Syracuse; creates shots for others at will, his passing is excellent; his change of speed is the best in the NCAA; he gets to the rim with ease, which often allows him to get to the line where he shoots a respectable 79 percent.

Cons:

Turns it over like nobodies business, over three TOs a game; standing not a centimeter over six feet, he's a little undersized for the NBA; occasionally he tries to force shots, and he's not a great perimeter shooter when there's a hand in his face.

Comparison:

Rajon Rondo, but a little better jump shooting
