Fedor Emelianenko Wants a One-Fight Deal with UFC

From the LA Times blog:

"Joost Raimond, the operations manager of Emelianenko's global promotion company M-1, invited the winner of the July 11 UFC heavyweight championship fight between Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir to attend the Emelianenko-Barnett bout, and pushed for the UFC to allow Emelianenko to fight that man as part of a one-fight contract on a card that could be fully promoted by UFC."

Well, I can guarantee you that the UFC and company have zero interest in signing Fedor to a one-fight deal, especially with their Heavyweight title on the line. I can see UFC pitting Fedor against Brock, should Brock lose to Mir, in a one-fight deal that did not involve their title.

This is just super fishy to me that someone who goes around with his management team claiming to be the best in world would find every other way to not sign a deal with UFC.

Guys, I get it. He wants to do Sambo in Russia; he wants to have more freedom. Fine! But UFC will not allow that, so either accept that and shut up about wanting to fight in UFC, or take a year off from the Sambo tournaments and New Year's in Japan fights and prove yourself in the UFC.

Fedor supporters, I am awaiting your backlash.

WWE's Greatest Ladder Matches

With Extreme Rules approaching I figured I would countdown the greatest Ladder matches in WWE history. There has been some classics and well with WWE you know there is gonna be some flops. But these matches not only go down as the top ladder matches but some of WWE's greatest matches ever.

I say it everytime with my countdown's, and I will say it again, it's my opinion so feel free to chime in with your comments and thoughts. Most of all I hope you enjoy the countdown.

10 Greatest Wrestlers Never to Win the WCW Title

Heck, David Arquette and Vince Russo are former WCW champions. That's gotta make it even harder for some of these guys to take never holding what at one time was even more prestigious the WWF title. I have chronicled the worst WWF champions of all-time and the greatest wrestlers to never win the WWF title so check that out, now let's chronicle some deserving guys who never got the big gold belt around their waist.

(Side Note: I did not include Ricky Steamboat, Barry Windham, and The Great Muta as they all held the title when it was considered the NWA World title.)
Begin Slideshow

The 10 Greatest Superstars in WCW History

Now before we begin kids, I want to say that the WCW Nintendo 64 video games will never be topped. Those were the greatest video games eeeeever.

I am basing most of my criteria on what wrestlers accomplished after the seperation from NWA. So Dusty Rhodes, Nikolai Volkoff, etc. will not be found. If that taints your own list, feel free to make a list of your own. I didn't get cable until WCW was running as it's own entity.

After compiling this list it's pretty obvious WCW didn't create too many stars. 5 of the 10 wrestlers were stars in a previous promotion before coming to WCW. I apologize to everyone who was expecting to see Rip Rogers on the list, he didn't quite make it.

This list is not going to count down the best pure wrestlers. It's not going to count down the greatest characters. It is counting down the most influential, recognizable, noteworthy wrestlers in the company's history.

WCW was a great promotion and had some many influential moments in wrestling history. This list pays tribute to the 10 best wrestlers in WCW history.
Begin Slideshow

The 10 Greatest Jobbers of All-Time

The one you have all been waiting for! Folks, you've read about them, you've seen them on old VHS tapes, but now they are gone. They will one day be talked about not believed without seeing. Jobbers.

With the return of WWE Superstars, I thought it was only fitting to relive the glory days of the WWE jobber! Some jobbers went on to success, others went on to jobber mediocrity. We now look back at the greatest jobbers of all-time, the jobbers that could very well be just as famous, and more so than others, than some of wrestling's greatest stars!

I can only hope this slide show inspires a jobbers battle royal on an upcoming episode of WWE Superstars. It's only fitting!
Begin Slideshow

They dropped the ball. There are certain instances in WWE history where giving a superstar a title could have changed the course of wrestling forever.
