A disappointing day yesterday as Jimmy Finley went 1-2 ATS, moving his documented record this week to 7-3 ATS. All of Jimmy's picks have been posted here at The Bleacher Report PRIOR to tip-off.

Today Jimmy has two plays.

Take Oklahoma -6.5 as the Sooners are on a roll. Blake Griffin showed he was back from his injury as the Sooners look to make a strong move towards the Final Four. The Sooners take on Michigan at 7 pm est. The Wolverines are a good squad, but very inconsistent. The Wolverines are not capable of back-to-back good performances and look for the Sooners to cover much more than the number.

Today's other game Jimmy, takes the Washington Huskies over the Purdue Boilermakers. Look for the anti-PAC 10 bias to continue tonight as the oddsmakers and the public are giving the Big 10 way too much credit. Take the Huskies at -1.5 as this game will be close until the final three minutes when Washington will start to pull away.

Missouri, Florida State, and Wake Forest Today's Picks ATS

Missouri -12.5 over Cornell

NCAA Tourney Picks: Swept the Board! 3-0 ATS Yesterday!

Akron Over Gonzaga: Analysis and Prediction

Look for the Zips from Akron to take out higher seeded Gonzaga this evening. Gonzaga is laying way too many points here against a solid defensive team. Look for Nate Linhart to continue his impressive defensive play as Akron will hold Gonzaga to its lowest three-point FG percentage of the season.

Gonzaga has become a norm in the NCAA Tourney and Akron is looking to shake things up mightily. Gonzaga came out of a disappointing conference this season and have played well below expectations. The Zips from Akron are going to surprise a lot of people tonight as they control the defensive end of this game.

I look for a very close match here tonight as Akron will lose this contest by most seven points.

PREDICTION: Akron Zips +13.5

Washington Over Mississippi State: Analysis and Prediction

We have a late afternoon game here at Jimmy Finley Sports. The Washington Huskies take on the surprising Mississippi State Bulldogs. The Bulldogs shocked all of the country by winning the SEC Tourney and earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Tourney.

A lot of people are predicting a Bulldogs upset here over Washington in the first round. These predictions include a straight up victory. This is complete nonsense. These predictors forget a lot about the two teams in this game.

Washington gets the usual East Coast bias against the Pac-10, and Mississippi State gets way too much credit for winning a terrible SEC Tourney last week. Washington feels disrespected and will completely blow the Bulldogs out of the water.

Take Washington laying the points here. This is my highest confidence game today!!!

College Basketball Picks: 3-1 This Week...2-0 YESTERDAY!!!

Jimmy Finley nailed both of his premium picks yesterday with wins ATS for the Florida Gators and the Miami Hurricanes. Since posting his Premium Picks on Bleacher Report, Jimmy has hit 75 percent. Look for this pattern to continue.

Jacksonville-Florida: Analysis and Prediction

The Florida Gators will completely dismantle Jacksonville tonight in the opening round of the NIT. The Gators are giving 14.5 points and look for them to win by much more. Jacksonville is completely outmatched by Florida across the board and they do not have a single advantage heading into this one.

Florida completely blows out sub-par teams like Jacksonville. This season they have defeated similar teams by an average of 20 ppg. The lone exception of bad losses by Florida came at the hands of conference rivals. Don’t look for that to happen tonight.

In the three previous meetings between these two teams, Jacksonville was defeated by 16, 29, and 43. Additionally, Jacksonville is on a 0-4 run ATS. Look for these trends to continue tonight as Florida completely wallops Jacksonville.

Take Florida at -14.5

Miami-Providence: NIT Analysis and Prediction

The Miami Hurricanes travel to face the Providence Friars in a showdown of former Big East rivals. Both teams are better on paper than they are on the hardwood, and one of these two squads will step up big time tonight.

Give the edge to the Hurricanes—familiarity in the NIT produces results. The Hurricanes have played in the NIT four of the last five seasons. Look for them to get off to a good start this evening. Home court advantage will not translate into a victory as the Friars take on 2.5 points. This game should be a pick 'em at best.

A couple trends to take note of in this rivalry: The visiting team has won seven of the last eight ATS, and the underdog has walked away with the money in five of the last seven contests. Miami has both of these trends working in its favor this evening.

Also, as a side note, Providence is getting way too much respect here because of their play in the Big East. A clear fluke victory over Pittsburgh and a victory over Syracuse are the highlights of the season for Providence. But it was clear in the second round of the Big East Tourney that Providence does not belong after they were walloped by 18 points by eventual tourney champ Louisville.

Oddsmakers were generous with the points...jump all over this one.

Prediction: Miami FL +2.5

Yesterday's NBA Roundup

With a bit of an off day yesterday we went 1-1. Winning the New Mexico game and dropping Wyoming. We have three premium games scheduled to pick today and this week only they will be published for your viewing at no charge.

As a side note we will post one premium play on the Bleacher Report for free everyday after this week. This is in addition to our daily free pick.

Today is a very exciting day for me personally. After offering sports handicapping services for the past 17 years professionally I have just launched my own website. Now to the results from last night:

In the NBA

The Orlando Magic lost straight up but jumped all over the generous number of 6.5. The Magic won ATS 93-97 making them one of the biggest money makers ATS this season.

The game also hit on the UNDER in a squeaker as they hit 190 total points against the set over/under of 191.5.

Onto Atlanta we go where the Hawks jumped all over the miserable Kings. The Hawks took the victory straight up and ATS 119-97.

The game killed the over by 12 points and the Hawks continue to be impressive at home against sub-par Western Conference opponents.

In Chicago, the Bulls continue to be one of the most inconsistent teams in the NBA. The Bulls shocked the Celtics as the won straight up and ATS 127-121.

This game obliterated the over/under hitting 52 points over the set 196.

In Dallas, the Mavericks struggled down the stretch against the Pistons but pulled off a two point victory, 103-101. The points was not enough to cover the seven given though as they lose ATS. This is another game that killed the 187 set as the over/under.

The Timberwolves travelled to San Antonio last night to take on the Spurs. This was a game that every bettor out there knew to stay away from.

The 9.5 point favorite Spurs won the game straight up but missed the cover by 3 points as the won 93-86. One part of this game that every NBA bettor was on though was the under as it hit under by 11 points.

Utah Jazz bettor lost a heartbreaker last night, as Wizards bettors had one of those games where they can go to sleep happy.

With a line set at 15.5 the Jazz won straight up by 15. Final score was 103-88. The game also went under the number by 12 points.

Golden State hosted in state rival the LA Clippers last night as they attempted to cover four points. They did so and more winning the game by seve with a final score of 127-120.

This was also one of two games that hit around the set over/under. The game went over the number set, 225, by a mere 2 points.

In the final game of the night the LA Lakers hosted the 76ers in what many thought would be a slaughter. But once again Philly shocked everyone and pulled off a straight-up victory and a win for those that wagered on them.

Final score was 94-93 as they ignored a 10 point underdog status. The game also hit under the set over/under by 20 points. Expected result with a Philly straight up victory.

That's the NBA round up for the day. Expect three premium picks from me today.

Northeastern-Wyoming: CBI Analysis and Premium Pick

I can sit here and go on and on about the big guards from Northeastern, Chaisson Allen and Matt Janning, or the two senior guards from Wyoming, Brandon Ewing and Sean Ogirri. The fact is that on paper this is a contest between two evenly matched teams. But that is ON PAPER; the intangibles will swing this game to the home team.

This contest will come down to THREE simple factors.

Factor No. 1

The Huskies from Northeastern will be traveling 1,977 miles from the Boston area to Laramie, Wyo. The “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles” travel schedule is coupled with one of the choppiest ends to the season of any NCAA team.

The Huskies ended their regular season on Feb. 28; they then sat for an entire week before losing in the first round of the CAA Tournament on March 7. Now 10 days later the Huskies travel almost 2,000 miles to the middle of nowhere to play in what they view as a meaningless CBI game.

Factor No. 2

Unlike the Northeastern Huskies, Wyoming is EXCITED to be in this game. They are a tough team at home and really do cherish the opportunity to play in a postseason game. They are not depressed about spending spring break in Laramie like the Huskies of Northeastern are.

Wyoming is rebuilding its program and was very competitive against its conference opponents this year. Look for the team to prove a point to its fans and competition tonight.

Factor No. 3

A little bit of pure basketball insight for you: If the first two factors still have you unconvinced of a Wyoming cover, just look at the depth. Northeastern does not have the depth to compete in a tough road environment.

In the Huskies’ opening round loss to Towson in the CAA Tournament, only one player scored in double digits. The next highest scoring player put up a total of eight points. The Huskies’ bench contributed 36 total minutes and a measly three points.

TRANSLATION...Wyoming to cover up to five points at HOME.

Nebraska @ New Mexico: Analysis and Free Premium Play

The Cornhuskers from Nebraska simply can not catch a break. Last week they draw the surprising Baylor Bears in the first round of the BIG XII tournament in OK City, now they draw the Lobos of New Mexico. The Huskers simply are terrible on the road, and the Lobos are spectacular at home. The Huskers only quality wins this season came on their home court and traveling just does not work in their favor.

Nebraska is just 11-22 ATS in road games and the only reason their record is that good is because of late free throws down the stretch. New Mexico is 23-9 ATS in their last 32 home games. Additionally, New Mexico was favored in every single one of those contests, but one. So they play well as big favorites. Look for the Huskers to struggle as they only average 58.9 PPG on the road. Nebraska is known for their defense, but don’t look for them to slow down the juggernaut that is New Mexico at home as the Lobos average 78 PPG in Albuquerque.

Play on New Mexico up to 9 points.
