Hull's on-loan defender Paul McShane may be recalled by his parent club Sunderland.

Sunderland's new manager, Ricky Sbragia,, has gone on record stating that he will only bring McShane back if he is unable to find a new defender in the January transfer window.

The Sunderland boss said: "I spoke to Paul yesterday, and he's enjoying himself at Hull and he's playing games.  Obviously, I'm looking to bring in defenders in the transfer window, and if I don't get who I want, there is a possibility that Paul will come back here."
