It's the first day of the NBA season, it's Christmas day, and still, Kevin Garnett can't keep his hands to himself.

The Knicks and Celtics got into a mini scrap on a day when it was completely uncalled for. Flaring tempers were as out of place today as Ndamukong Suh's Thanksgiving stomp.

This was nothing more than a little fight, and thankfully, it didn't develop into something far uglier.

Everyone is thrilled to have the NBA back in action, and the opener being held on Christmas day makes this event completely unnecessary.

The Knicks won in a thrilling opener and dropped the Celtics. It was a great game filled with two star-laden teams who were eager to prove that they can contend in the East.

This fight becomes the story in what should have been seen as a great game between two decent teams.

It's not the playoffs. Fans shouldn't have been subjected to this childish display, and all parties involved should be embarrassed by their inability to keep it basketball after such a frustrating wait.

Regardless, there is a ridiculous lineup of games today and the NBA will have plenty of chances to redeem itself after getting off to a juvenile start.

This was no Malice at the Palace by any means, but KG's bullying antics were on full display, as Whoville undoubtedly watched and wept.
