Top 5 WWE DVD Releases of 2011

0 of 5

WWE has had a very entertaining year. The story lines were great. Many new talents have been exposed to a larger audience. The matches have been of high quality. A lot of amazing moments were created.

Sadly, many fans are forgetting to give credit to WWE on their remarkable job off television. They release many DVD (videos) every year. Many of them are "must buy," and this year was no different.

Here are my top five videos from WWE over the past 12 months.

5. WrestleMania 27

1 of 5

Truth be told, I really enjoyed this event. I thought most of the winners were "correct," and I liked seeing The Rock host the show all night.

I purchased WrestleMania and had a great time with five other people just looking to watch a fun WWE spectacle.

That being said, I immediately picked up the DVD when it was released. There are a few nice extras, but I just wanted to own the event.

4. Money in the Bank 2011

Again, I just wanted to own the event. It featured one of the greatest top-to-bottom shows I have ever seen. The ladder matches were amazing enough to warrant a purchase.

Oh yeah, it also had the "Match of the Year" in CM Punk vs. John Cena for the WWE Title. I do not do star ratings, but this match would easily get the top ranking from me. Five stars, I believe is the term?

That alone made this a "must buy!"

3. That's What I Am

Raise your hand if you saw this movie!

Okay, now please be honest. Did you like the movie or are you going on the notion that all WWE films are bad and never actually saw it?

That is what I thought. All I ask is to watch the movie. If you do not like it, fine! If you enjoy it, great!

I watched it, and I loved the message it sent. Being online, you see just how negative a lot of things can be. This movie puts everything into a much better perspective.

Be positive. Focus on the good, not the bad. If not, Randy Orton will go to the papers if he has to...

2. Evolution of a Predator

4 of 5

Speaking of Randy Orton, this was a great WWE DVD. I have said it a million times, but Orton (or Mark Henry) is winning my Superstar of the Year award. No other choices available!

While it may not have much to do with it, this video release just makes me lean towards Mr. RKO even more. Just like the previous mention, this has a nice story involved.

Family. Health. Friends. That is what is most important.

Not wins or losses in a predetermined sport. Not who is "pushed" or "buried" on WWE TV. None of that. Everybody involved in making this deserves a huge thanks!

1. Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels

5 of 5

To be honest, I did not see many WWE DVD releases this year. If there were any other great movies this year, let me know, and I will try to check them out!

From what I actually saw, this one was the best of the year. Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart both did a great job. Jim Ross as the host did an excellent job as well.

I can't really say much about this, except watch it! I advise everybody to view this on DVD. Do not find it online. Don't download it for free. Purchase this! You will not regret it.

Finally, I hate to repeat myself, but this video also sent a nice message to fans all over the world. I won't spoil what was all said, but it really made you appreciate things in life. It also included many of their great matches, so you can't lose either way.

I  wish to see more in the "WWE Rivalries" series down the road because Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels was the best WWE DVD of the year!

REMINDER: I am now on Twitter @JustinWatry! I give every new follower a special shout out, so do not be shy...thanks.
